Scope of Delivery

NOTE:

Upon unpacking the device and accessories, please check for completeness and any transport damage. If the original packaging has already been opened, contact your dealer. Dealers often prepare your new device for use on your network by pre-configuring several settings. Additionally, all of our network-capable devices are shipped with the latest version of the X-STREAM software, which may require an update during the initial installation.

Power Connection

NOTE:

Ensure the device remains switched off (power switch (17) in the off position) until all cable connections to the rest of the system have been made. Also, pay attention to the phase markings on the device.

Switching the Device On and Off

CAUTION:

The device is not completely disconnected from the power supply in standby mode. To fully disconnect it, turn off the power switch at the back of the device or unplug the power cable from the IEC connector.

Selecting the Audio Source

NOTE:

If a digital input is selected and no compatible digital signal is present, the display will show NO DIG SIGNAL or NO ARC SIGNAL instead of the volume level. In this state, volume adjustment is not possible due to the selected digital input.

Volume Control & Volume Limit

NOTE:

If the volume drops below 0, the display will show mute, and the device will be muted. If a volume limit is set in the settings (default 70%), exceeding it will display 99.5 lim on the display. If the volume limit is reached via the app, the notification Volume limit reached will also appear there. Note that volume adjustments using the optional RC 9 remote control are made in increments of 1 dB.

Inserting/Ejecting CDs

NOTE:

If a CD is already in the drive, the slot will be blocked. If the CD is unreadable or a data CD/DVD is inserted by mistake, the display will show no audio disc.

Bluetooth

NOTE:

When attaching the included antennas, ensure they are aligned straight before angling them into the desired position.

Choosing the Correct Load for the Phono Input

NOTE:

Ensure that the same value is always used for both inputs.

Advanced Settings

NOTE:

In the Advanced Settings menu, the available parameters depend on the currently selected input.

Set Tone Control

NOTE:

The adjustment of the loudness function (Loudness) depends on the speakers and the room and is therefore globally valid for all inputs. Once the tone control under Set Tone Control is set to LINEAR, the menu items Bass, Treble, and Loudness will not be displayed.

Loudness

NOTE:

When reopening the Loudness menu, the displayed value may differ from the initially selected setting. This is not an error; it occurs because the tone control selects an adjusted value based on the current volume level. The current value is displayed accordingly when the Loudness menu is accessed.

Display Brightness

NOTE:

The brightness setting at 100% may lead to uneven brightness in individual display segments due to "burn-in effects" if used for extended periods. Therefore, avoid keeping the device at this setting unnecessarily. Switch it to standby mode when not in use (e.g., overnight).

Input Gains

NOTE:

Please note that during gain adjustment, all remote controls are disabled. While making menu adjustments on the main device, the optional RC 9 remote control cannot be used to avoid operational conflicts.

Care for the Housing

NOTE:

Do not allow liquid to enter the interior of the housing when cleaning. For safety reasons, always unplug the power cable before wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface or inscriptions on the housing.
