The CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 at a glance

The CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 combine the award-winning technologies of the AVM OVATION series in a master-class all-in-one device with a powerful sound. The CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 also offer a complete selection in terms of features and connection options: All common streaming formats are supported - and a CD drive is also on board. A large selection of further analogue and digital connection options is also available.

The two close relatives, the CS 6.3 and CS 8.3, differ only in their amplifier section and each offers something very special: the CS 6.3 is based on the highest quality and pure transistor technology in all amplification stages, while the OVATION Line tube stages of the CS 8.3 conjure up a pleasant, warm and natural sound image. All details are reproduced with unprecedented naturalness and spatiality. This makes completely relaxed long-term listening a matter of course. And all this for all types of music. The extremely powerful power amplifiers of the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 deliver up to 500 watts / channel, so any loudspeaker can be selected and driven with ease, at any desired volume.

In both models, the modular design principle of the OVATION Line is used for the first time in an all-in-one. For example, the DA converter is installed on an easily exchangeable plug-in module. This 4-fold DA converter is already capable of converting digital signals up to 384kHz/32bit and also DSD formats into analogue music signals that are practically exactly the same as the original. Digital music reproduction is undergoing rapid change and progress. Should new digital formats or higher resolutions become available one day, the DA converter can easily be upgraded. This also makes the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 upgradeable in its hardware - so both models are already equipped for the future.

Special attention was also paid to the authentic playback of CDs. The acoustically encapsulated Slot-in-PureCD drive is spring-mounted and thus efficiently protected against disturbing vibrations.

In terms of design, the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 are also in the best AVM tradition and impress with their appearance that is reduced to the essentials. The perfectly crafted brushed aluminium housing is joined without any visible screw connections; here, the technology of the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 is housed in a solid aluminium casing. This elaborate multi-chamber construction protects individual parts of the complex electronics from undesired interference or sound-impairing interference. Precision has been placed on every detail. The chrome-plated knobs, including the axles, are turned from a solid piece and then held in position by ball bearings. Through the glass in the lid of the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3, the tube stages can be observed at their glowing work. Like all components of the OVATION Line, the CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 are delivered in an AVM flight case.

Both silver and black are available as standard versions - a solid chrome front is optionally available for an additional charge. The chrome knobs can also be selected in other finishes on request. Other individual finishes are available on request.
