How a soundbar works

Christian Bayer tested the nuPro AS-2500 for HiFi-Test, issue 5/2023, and was even impressed as a high-ender: "All functions are easy and intuitive to control. You are quickly connected to your players and the AS-2500 and can get started immediately. To be honest, there is enough bass, but if you measure with the pit of your stomach, you can get more bass in no time at all, even wirelessly. There is one more aspect I would like to mention: not only can digital players be integrated, there is also an analog input available to which you can connect a device of your choice and thus set up a complete, small system with the help of the nuPro as-2500. I took the liberty of connecting my Nakamichi tape deck and, to be honest, listened to cassettes for hours with great satisfaction. In terms of sound, it even picks up a high-end listener like me: a sonorous midrange paired with crisp bass and a pleasant treble. You can also adjust the sound to suit your taste and the room. I think Nubert has both undershot and overshot the bar for soundbars with the AS-2500. "Below" because, at a price of 495 euros, they offer such outstanding quality that the competition has to rub up against it. And "above" because, in our view, this price does not imply any loss of quality."

His conclusion: "This is how a soundbar works. The Nubert nuPro AS-2500 not only fills a gap in the Nubert range, its balanced sound and perfect functionality put it on the winner's podium."

+ Compact, practical design
+ Outstanding sound typical of Nubert
+ Completely uncomplicated handling

The editors' overall verdict:

Top class 1.2
