In its update of 14 September 2023, the independent test portal F.A.Z-Kaufkompass declared the nuConnect ampXL the test winner in the category "Stereo receivers (around 1,000 euros)":
"The Nubert nuConnect ampXL comes with extra power, which is not at all apparent in the slim device. Its repertoire ranges from an excellent phono stage and several digital inputs to streaming capability via Bluetooth Lan and WLAN. There is also a room correction option and even an optional HDMI input."
