The future has begun

Carsten Bambeck from the Fidelity editorial team tested the new flagship nuZeo 15 for issue #73 and discovered a combination of virtues that he hardly thinks possible: "Das Großartige an der Klangwucht ist jedoch nicht abgrundtiefe Frequenz an sich, sondern die Kontrolle, die DSP und Endstufen über die Treiber haben. Die Kellerfrequenzen spielen knochentrocken und vor einem „rabenschwarzen“ Hintergrund. Da Subbass, Grundton, Mitten und Höhen über jeweils eigene Kraftwerke verfügen, stehen Stimmen und Soloinstrumente selbst in voluminösen, hektischen oder musikalisch komplexen Passagen wie gemeißelt zwischen den Lautsprechern. Die Höhen bestechen durch eine samtig-klare Note und geben der Musik selbst dann noch Tiefe und Transparenz, wenn brutalste Kickdrums und Synthiebässe aus dem Gehäuse hämmern. [Loose translation: The great thing about the sound power, however, is not abysmally low frequencies per se, but the control that the DSP and power amplifiers have over the drivers. The basement frequencies play bone-dry and against a ‘pitch-black’ background. As the sub-bass, fundamental, mid-range and treble frequencies each have their own power plants, voices and solo instruments are chiselled between the speakers, even in voluminous, hectic or musically complex passages.
