Our Shop-Glossary
Here you will find a summary of all terms used in the shop in one place.
LFE
LFE stands for Low Frequency Effects. The LFE soundtrack contains special bass effects (usually up to 100 Hz) that are usually reproduced by the subwoofer in a home cinema speaker set (the LFE channel).
Longstroke
A chassis that is characterised by a particularly wide (but not exactly defined) diaphragm excursion is also called a longstroke chassis. Ultra longstroke drivers have an even wider excursion.
Low pass
A low-pass filters out (or attenuates) frequencies above a certain limit, while allowing frequencies below it to pass.
