Here you will find a summary of all terms used in the shop in one place.
MDF
Stands for medium density fibreboard. A material frequently used in speaker construction that is characterised by its stability as well as its good-natured acoustic properties. MDF is a mixture of glue and tiny wood particles.
Membrane
The diaphragm is the part of a loudspeaker that excites the air by deformation and thereby generates sound waves.
Midrange speaker
The midrange driver is responsible for reproducing midrange frequencies in a loudspeaker cabinet.
Multichannel
Multi-channel refers to a system setup that includes more than the left and right sound channels common in stereo sets.
Music performance
Refers to either the peak power handling of a loudspeaker or the power that an amplifier can produce for a short time (power peaks).
