Our Shop-Glossary
Here you will find a summary of all terms used in the shop in one place.
Radiation behaviour
Describes the way a loudspeaker radiates sound, for example at a wide or narrow angle (focusing). Usually, a particularly even dispersion behaviour is desirable, which we pay attention to in all our speakers.
Receiver
A receiver is a (radio) receiver. Often, receiver also means a stereo or AV receiver that combines amplifier, tuner and other components.
Resolution
In hi-fi, resolution usually means the sampling rate and word width of an audio signal. More common is the English term "resolution", for example as part of "High Resolution Audio (HiRes Audio)".
Ribbon loudspeaker
A loudspeaker that produces sound by means of a metal foil stretched between two magnets. Normally, ribbon transducers are used in the high-frequency range.
