The M6scd - Overview
The M6scd is a superb CD player in every respect. It uses a 32-bit digital-to-analogue converter with 192 kHz upsampling frequency and reproduces even the most complex recordings with musical fidelity.
From the predecessor model, the M6CD, we have taken over the fabulous CD drawer mechanism, which did its job perfectly and proved to be extremely reliable even in long-term use. Of course, the M6scd also has a wide range of digital inputs. This means that it is not only a world-class CD drive, but also a phenomenal stand-alone digital-to-analogue converter! The two coaxial (RCA) digital inputs operate at up to 24-bit 192 Hz, while the two optical inputs (Toslink) and the asynchronous USB input perform at up to 24-bit 96 kHz. The M6scd also has coaxial (RCA) and optical (Toslink) digital outputs.
The new M6scd offers outstanding sound quality, excellent disc reading capability and plays at a world-class level in terms of measurement. It is the perfect symbiosis of excellent sound, good looks and a wide range of digital inputs, making it the ideal partner for the M6si integrated amplifier and a wide range of other amplifiers. But it's not just us who love the M6scd. Stereo wrote in its 2/2015 issue: "A picture-book player. Device Placement and Precautions
Before operating the device, ensure that the voltage corresponds to your country's power supply specifications.
Basic Safety Instructions: DANGER! As the device operates on electricity, it is important to observe the following safety precautions:
- Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
- Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Always unplug the power cord by gripping the plug itself, never pull the cord.
- If the device is defective, contact your dealer or the German MUSICAL FIDELITY distributor, Fa. REICHMANN AudioSysteme.
- Do not pull on the power cable when moving or adjusting the device.
- Avoid using power extension cords or multiple socket outlets connected in series.
- Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.
Only make audio connections when the device is disconnected from the power supply. Lay all cables leading to the device so they are not pinched, do not cross power and audio cables, and do not create tripping hazards.
Place the device on a horizontal, stable surface. Avoid direct sunlight. Disconnect the device immediately from the power supply in the event of water ingress, and take it to an authorized service center.
There are no user-serviceable or user-replaceable components inside the device. Do not open the device housing.
Disconnect the device from the power supply during thunderstorms or lightning strikes.
Follow all warnings on the back of the product. Note: Unauthorized opening of the device voids the warranty.
Do not remove dust or dirt from the device using chemical cleaners or polishes. Use only soft cloths, such as microfiber, to clean the device's surface. For further assistance, consult your dealer.
