Bookshelf loudspeaker
On the shelf, the nuBoxx BF-10 impresses with its dimensions and appearance. Completely unobtrusive, it provides great sound in any room. Combined with our amplifier nuConnect ampX with the X-Room Calibration function, the sound is conveniently adjusted to your listening position via smartphone.
Surround speakers
In surround, the nuBoxx BF-10 is convincing either as a rear speaker, as a front speaker or also as a centre. If you choose five identical speakers, the homogeneity is ideal. We recommend one of our subwoofers from the nuSub-Series.
Zone Loudspeaker
As a zone loudspeaker in another room, the nuBoxx BF-10 is also suitable due to its easy installation and closed cabinet. With an appropriate amplifier, you can bring the music from the main zone into another room.
Details
nuOva B tweeter
The newly developed tweeter provides the detailed sound above 2.5 kHz that you have always wanted. Multi-layer damping and a sophisticated drive system ensure minimal resonance and thus low distortion in every frequency range. Your advantage: Instruments and voices are reproduced at a level far above the entry level.
Front panel
The front panel of the nuOva-B tweeter was manufactured in several hundred versions via 3D printing and rapid prototyping in order to achieve the ideal harmony between the tweeter's dispersion behaviour and sound guidance at the front of the cabinet. Your advantage: a wide sweet spot with first-class stage imaging.
B² woofer
Our woofers with B² technology impress with bass power far beyond their size ratio. To achieve this, we use a powerful magnet system with high excursion for level bass reproduction. Your advantage: compact dimensions with a sound worthy of a floorstanding speaker.
Wall mounting
The nuBoxx BF-10 can be mounted to the wall with just two screws thanks to the bracket on the back. We include a drilling template that makes mounting even easier. This means that nothing stands in the way of an extremely inconspicuous look in your room.
Colour
More variety in set-up: to match our nuPro, nuLine and nuVero series, the nuBoxx now also comes in timeless black and white. This gives you even more freedom when combining your set-up. Fabric trims in new colours also offer more individuality. The nuBoxx thus fits in with any home décor.
The versions with a grey front come with a grey-melted fascia as standard. For boxes in black and white, the covers in the desired colour can be ordered as an option!
Design
The simple design makes the nuBoxx models a timeless work of art. The simple attachment of the cover with magnets, provides the best possible protection for your speakers. The acoustically permeable fabric ensures transparent sound and an elegant appearance. Our product designer explains the background in a video.
Series overview
Our nuBoxx series is in the tradition of all Nubert speakers and aims to reproduce sound as naturally as possible. Our entry-level series comprises a total of six models that can be combined with the subwoofers from the nuSub series. This makes it possible to put together stereo systems as well as complete surround sets with excellent sound.

Housing
We recommend using a standard glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This allows most fingerprints and dirt to be removed easily. Alternatively, you can use window active foam. We advise against using microfiber cloths as they may cause micro-scratches on the surface.
Membranes and Speaker Drivers
To remove dust from a speaker driver, use a lint-free cotton cloth and gently wipe the membrane with very light pressure. All Nubert speakers' tweeters are protected by a grille, which can also be wiped lightly with minimal pressure. If the dust cannot be completely removed, a makeup brush from the drugstore can be used.

Box type, sound and recommended use
If you are looking for a loudspeaker that blends into your living environment as discreetly as possible, does not take up any floor space, is compactly built and still sounds really "grown up", then the nuBoxx BF-10 is the right choice!
This elegant, flat transducer with a square front has been specially designed for wall mounting. The closed cabinet has two keyhole mountings on the back, which allow the speaker to be securely mounted on the wall. The speaker's shallow depth of only 8.1 cm (9.3 cm with fabric cover) makes it stand out only slightly from the background; the white colour version can be integrated inconspicuously into light rooms, the black one into dark surroundings. With the magnetic fabric cover attached, a particularly homely look is achieved.
The crossover, specially tuned for wall use, equalizes the lower frequency range and avoids unwanted "thickening" of the midrange due to sound reflections from the background.
Despite the closed design, the nuBoxx BF-10 achieves an amazingly low lower cut-off frequency of 80 Hertz (at -3 decibels), thus enabling full-fledged hi-fi reproduction. The speaker owes this amazing bass power to its particularly potent woofer chassis, which can act in a generously sized acoustic volume.
From 2,500 Hertz, the new tweeter dome nuOva B takes over, which is characterized by a particularly generous dispersion behavior and outstanding detail reproduction. For even more profound bass reproduction, the nuBoxx BF-10 can of course also be combined with a subwoofer from the nuSub series in a sub-sat system.
Thus, the nuBoxx BF-10 is recommended as a versatile universal speaker: for particularly compact, inconspicuous stereo systems, as an effect box in a multi-channel system or as a passive multimedia monitor on the TV or computer. As an alternative to wall mounting, the speaker can also be placed on a shelf if it is positioned so that the front is flush with the surroundings or protrudes slightly and any cavities behind the back are filled.
Construction principle/housing
Two-way compact loudspeaker in closed design, specially optimized for wall mounting. The 12-16 millimeter thick cabinet walls are made of acoustically advantageous and robust wood fiber material (MDF).The housing body and the baffle are coated with a high-quality, robust decorative film in black or white. The optional, removable front cover, which is available in various colours, is covered with high-quality acoustic fabric and adheres magnetically so that the elegant appearance is not impaired by visible mounting sockets. On the back of the speaker are two keyhole mounts that allow the speaker to be securely wall mounted. The sockets are not designed for ceiling mounting.
Chassis
The nuBoxx BF-10 is equipped with a 26-millimeter tweeter (nuOva B) and a 123-millimeter bass-midrange driver (B² technology).
All nuBoxx models rely on the same silk-fabric tweeter dome, developed on the basis of the advanced nuOva chassis of the nuLine series and christened nuOva B. A multi-layered damped rear chamber volume behind the oscillating system ensures a particularly harmonious frequency transition to the bass-midrange driver, while the carefully designed and precisely manufactured front panel with wide-dispersion sound guidance optimizes the dispersion characteristics and fine detailing of the super-high frequency range above 7 kilohertz. As a result, the new nuBoxx tweeter sets standards in terms of resolving power and allows the audience to enjoy maximum listening pleasure even outside the narrowly defined "sweet spot".
During the development of the 123-millimeter woofers with polypropylene cone, special attention was paid to a flow-optimized basket design to minimize flow losses and pressure buildup in the chassis. Furthermore, this design has very positive effects on the thermal load capacity of the chassis. Thus, in conjunction with a particularly long-stroke design of the oscillating system of this woofer, particularly high sound pressure levels can be achieved with a simultaneously extremely compact housing design. A significant contribution to the quality of this chassis is also the generously dimensioned drive. The remarkably powerful magnet system enables a high magnetic flux, which optimizes the efficiency and low frequency response of the loudspeaker. All these design features result in a combination of deep and impulsive reproduction - outstanding for this price range.
Crossover
The crossover separates the signal paths, linearizes the driver systems and optimizes the impulse and phase. As usual with Nubert, the circuit board is above average and equipped with long-term stable film capacitors at the sound-critical points. A reliable protection circuit cuts the amplifier current to the drivers and crossover in case of an impending overload and then automatically resets itself to normal operation. The crossover of the nuBoxx BF-10 has been optimized for wall-mounted use of the speaker. A correction element prevents an unwanted "thickening" of the upper bass range in wall operation. At the same time, the equalization extends the low bass response, giving the nuBoxx BF-10 an amazingly "grown-up" playback character. Another compensation element prevents disturbing influences in the midrange due to sound reflections from the surrounding background.
Connection terminal
All nuBoxx speakers are equipped with a connection terminal that has been redesigned from the ground up and is precisely recessed on the back. The bi-wiring terminal of previous nuBox generations, rarely used in the entry-level class, has been replaced by two high-quality angled screw terminals with precision threads, which now also offer banana plugs a secure hold and an optimal contact surface. To facilitate the connection, to decouple the box from the substrate and to promote a discreet installation, some distance to the wall can be created with the help of the enclosed elastic buffers.
