Device Type and Usage Recommendations
Reduce cable clutter! The nuConnect trXS is a transceiver for Nubert's high-resolution audio networks X-Connect and X-Connect Surround. This means it can function either as a transmitter or receiver, wirelessly transmitting a stereo audio signal to or from compatible Nubert components. These include the subwoofers of the nuSub XW series, the nuConnect ampX amplifier, and the nuPro X and XS active speakers, including the nuPro XI-2000 RC built-in speaker. The module also works with other HiFi and home theater products from Nubert or third-party manufacturers. Thus, the nuConnect trXS also upgrades older stereo systems or AV setups for the wireless sound future.
A single button press is all it takes to switch between transmit and receive mode. As a transmitter, for example, the trXS can be operated on an AV receiver to wirelessly control one or even multiple subwoofers from the nuSub XW series, thereby reducing annoying cabling in the listening room. It is also possible to control ceiling speakers such as our nuPro XI-2000 RC in a modern Dolby Atmos or DTS:X setup without any problems. The low processing delay of only 20 milliseconds makes the trXS suitable for such time-critical applications, while the high transmission quality ensures no sound loss. The trXS has a wireless range of up to 50 meters, with typical ranges of 10 to 15 meters even under suboptimal conditions (structural obstacles or interference). One transmitter can control multiple receivers in the X-Connect standard.
As a receiver, the adapter can be used to play the music signal of two nuPro XS speakers in the living room on a traditional compact system in an adjacent room. This allows you to set up a simple multi-room audio system in no time. Another possible application is creating a wireless link between two nuConnect trXS units, with one configured as a transmitter and the other as a receiver. This way, you can, for example, transmit sound from the laptop in the study to an active speaker on the balcony, allowing you to follow sports broadcasts or podcasts even outside.
The nuConnect trXS opens up countless possibilities for music and home theater fans to enjoy carefree, wireless sound. The transceiver not only expands the X-Connect network and connects Nubert components but also integrates older HiFi products and devices from other providers into the high-res system. Thanks to USB power and the combined analog/digital connectivity, the adapter can be connected almost anywhere. Further application examples are listed in the manual (downloadable as a PDF file).
Note: The nuConnect trXS can adjust the volume at its audio output, making it ideal as a receiver for active speakers in the X-Connect Surround network. As channel assignment in the X-Connect Surround setup is done at the device level, only a single channel can be assigned to one trXS. For example, if you want to operate a pair of A-100 speakers as surround speakers with a nuPro XS-8500 RC or a nuXinema preAV, two trXS units are required.

General Notes
Never operate the device unattended!
Danger of Electric Shock!
To avoid the risk of electric shock, the device must not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Service and repairs are reserved for qualified specialists authorized by Nubert. For service, contact Nubert electronic GmbH!
Danger of Suffocation!
Never let children use or play with the device or packaging unattended! Ensure that children cannot remove any small parts from the device! These parts could be swallowed and cause suffocation. In case of swallowing any parts, contact a doctor immediately!
Risk of Injury or Damage!
When moving the device, handle it with care to avoid injury and damage!
Caution!
Since the device can only be fully switched off by disconnecting it from the power supply, it must be positioned so that you have free access to the USB connection or the power supply. If any of the following conditions occur, the device must be unplugged immediately and disconnected from the mains. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH immediately:
- The device has been damaged or has fallen.
- Cables or plugs are damaged.
- Objects or liquids have entered the device.
- The device was/is exposed to excessive moisture or rain.
- The device does not function properly or shows a significant decrease in performance.
- The device smells burnt, emits smoke, or makes unusual noises.

Placement Instructions
Caution!
An unstable placement location can lead to damage to the device.
- Place the device on a flat, stable surface and ensure it cannot be knocked over!
- Ensure that no unintended pulling on the cables occurs to avoid knocking over the device or damaging the connection sockets!
- Keep strong mechanical shocks away from the device!
Caution!
Excessive heat buildup inside the device can shorten its lifespan or lead to a fire.
- Never cover the device! Ensure sufficient space and air circulation around the device!
- Do not operate the device or the remote control near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
- Do not expose the device or the remote control to direct sunlight!
- Never operate burning candles or similar open flames near the device!
Danger of Explosion!
Installation in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the device:
- In environments where there is a risk of fire or explosion!
- At extremely low or extremely high temperatures!
- Near flammable gases or vapors!
- In areas with heavy dust!
- Near flammable materials!
Danger of Electric Shock!
The device has no special protection against the intrusion of liquids or objects into the system. There is therefore a risk of electric shock.
- Never touch the device with wet hands!
- Use the device only in a dry location!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
- Protect the device from all types of liquids, including dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., flower vases) on or near the device!
- If the device is moved from a cold environment to a warm room, condensation may form inside. Wait at least 4 hours until the device has reached room temperature and is dry before switching it on!
- Do not use the device during rapid temperature changes!
- No objects or foreign bodies may enter the device.
- If the device comes into contact with liquids or objects enter it, immediately unplug it and contact Nubert electronic GmbH!
Connection Instructions
General Connection Instructions
- Only insert the USB plug of the power supply cable into USB sockets of intended devices such as computers or USB power adapters! Ensure the supply voltage is 5V DC! Do not connect the device to any other power supplies.
- Ensure that all connections are correctly made and all plugs are firmly seated in their sockets before establishing the power supply!
- Disconnect the device from the power supply before making any changes to the system wiring!
- If you want to disconnect connections on the device, always pull on the plug, never on the cable!
- Use only the intended cables and connectors! Otherwise, damage or malfunctions may occur.
- If the device is not used for an extended period or is left unattended, disconnect the power supply. Unplug the power adapter from the socket or the USB cable from the device!
- Use only accessories recommended by Nubert!
Care Instructions
Caution!
- Improper handling of the device may cause damage.
- Always unplug the power adapter from the socket before cleaning the device!
- Clean the device regularly with a soft, slightly damp cloth! For stubborn stains, you can use mild soapy water. Never use harsh cleaning agents or solvents such as petrol, alcohol, or similar substances!
- Before resuming operation, ensure that all connections are correct, there are no short circuits, and both the device and the power adapter are completely dry.
