Simply harmonious
The nuLine CS-64 centre speaker is only 12 cm high and 53 cm wide, so it fits in most lowboards. Despite its compact dimensions, it convinces with 51 Hz lower limiting frequency and an impressive omnidirectional sound distribution. The neutral tuning makes it an ideal complement not only to nuLine surround sets, but also to our other series.
Centre
The nuLine CS-64 is the ideal centre if you have limited space but want full sound. It inherits the detail and wide dispersion from its big brother, the nuLine CS-174.
Stably built
The nuLine CS-64 is also suitable as a base for a TV set, due to its solid construction. This allows you to place your TV weighing up to 60 kg on top of the speaker.
Complete in a set
The nuLine CS-64 usually completes a surround set. If you want to take a look at our home cinema editions, feel free to browse here.
Details
nuOva tweeter
With the nuLine CS-64, the tweeter is separated at 1,800 Hz. The nuOva tweeter is a sophisticated high-tech product that has been optimised for minimal resonance. The main reason for this is the damped rear volume chamber, which ensures very fast decay. Your advantage: More details and a clear reproduction of music.
Low-midrange speaker
The bass-midrange drivers of the nuLine CS-64 work seamlessly below the tweeter. They enable detailed voice reproduction and rich low frequencies. Thanks to longstroke technology and optimised cabinet, the centre speaker achieves a lower cut-off frequency of 51 Hz with high precision. Your advantage: Full music reproduction with a small footprint.
Crossover
The crossover is the control centre and heart of the nuLine CS-64. Durable components ensure accurate reproduction and linear sound for decades. The switches on the back directly influence the crossover, allowing seamless switching between sound modes. In addition, the crossover has self-resetting fuses that protect the drivers from overload.
Colours
Our nuLine series relies on the high-quality lacquer finishes black and white, which are applied in several layers and sanded again and again for a perfect surface finish with a softline edge. The third option is a real highlight: the real wood veneer in walnut. This makes each model truly unique, just as with our limited Corten Edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our constantly improving nuLine series.
Design
In the nuLine series, clear shapes with delicate softline curves give the models a timeless elegance. Acoustic considerations are also at the forefront of the design process, as slightly rounded edges ensure less edge dispersion, as does the asymmetrical arrangement of the tweeters. This is matched by the elaborately calculated metal grille, which has hardly any measurable effect on the sound.
Series overview
Our nuLine series is not only Made in Germany, but also committed to honest sound: All speakers reproduce music neutrally and thus exactly as it was recorded. What's more, with 10 models in this series, we have the widest variety for all applications, from wall or ceiling speakers, compact and floorstanding speakers to the Dolby Atmos-certified add-on speaker nuLine RS-54. Low-frequency support is provided for all of them by subwoofers from the nuSub series.

Safety Instructions
- Turn off the amplifier before connecting the speaker cables.
- Ensure the speaker cables are securely connected.
- Place the speaker only in a dry location.
- Do not expose the speakers to direct sunlight.
- Overload: The nuLine CS-64 has internal protections against amplifier overload. However, note that even a weak amplifier can damage a speaker. At high volume levels, weak amplifiers tend to distort, which can place extreme stress on tweeters. If the sound reproduction becomes distorted at a certain point, please reduce the volume on your amplifier.
Cold Weather and Sound
When speakers are shipped and delivered during the cold season, they must adjust to the indoor room temperature before use. Low temperatures significantly affect the moving parts of a speaker, such as the diaphragm/voice coil, surround, and centering spider. These components' ability to follow rapid vibrations or make large excursions is severely limited. While this is not dangerous, "frozen" speakers will not deliver their optimal sound performance. Therefore, our tip: If your new speakers arrive on a cold winter day, give them a few hours to acclimatize. Your Nubert speakers will reward you with the outstanding sound quality you rightly expect from us.
Connection Instructions
Please ensure that your amplifier/receiver is turned off before connecting the speakers. Refer to the amplifier/receiver's user manual for detailed instructions on connecting the speakers.
Care and Cleaning Tips
Warning!
Improper handling of the speaker may cause damage.
- Turn off your amplifier before cleaning the speaker and disconnect the speaker cables from the terminals if necessary!
- Before resuming operation, ensure all connections are correct, no short circuits are present, and the speaker is completely dry!
- Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, or similar substances!
Cabinet
We recommend using a commercial glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This easily removes most fingerprints and dirt. Alternatively, you can use active foam window cleaners. We advise against using microfiber cloths as they can cause small scratches on the surface. For veneered cabinets, use appropriate furniture care products.
Diaphragms and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a speaker chassis, use a lint-free cotton cloth to gently wipe the diaphragm with minimal pressure. The tweeters of all Nubert speakers are equipped with protective grilles, allowing them to also be wiped gently. If the dust cannot be completely removed, a makeup brush from a drugstore works well.

Center Speaker nuLine CS-64

Box type and recommendations for use
The nuLine CS-64 is the lowest full-range centre speaker in our range. This makes it all the more amazing that the CS-64 also scores with the best omnidirectional sound dispersion of all our centres. This means that there is no loss of sound quality within a dispersion range of plus or minus 20 degrees of the vertical axis. To put it simply: the "sweet spot", i.e. the optimum listening area, is not in the centre in front of the speaker, but covers the entire sofa - and even the armchairs to the right and left of it. Despite the compact dimensions, the two 10 cm woofers specially developed for this model, together with the precisely tuned reflex tube system, develop a remarkable bass pressure. The lower cut-off frequency is a remarkable 51 Hertz (-3 decibels). In combination with the two bass-midrange drivers and the nuOva dome tweeter, this ensures optimum dialogue intelligibility and concise effect reproduction - decisive strengths of a centre speaker. Ideally, the nuLine CS-64 is supported by a subwoofer. The high-frequency reproduction can be adjusted to soft, neutral or brilliant via a three-stage sound selector switch. The speakers of the nuLine series are developed in Schwäbisch Gmünd and manufactured according to our specifications at a traditional specialist company for sound furniture construction in Germany.
Construction principle and housing
Two-and-a-half-way centre speaker in bass reflex design. The bass reflex ports are located on the side of the cabinet, which is why a distance of at least three centimetres should be maintained to the side. Self-adhesive rubber pads are supplied for horizontal use. The cabinet is made of 19 mm thick, veneered or multi-layer lacquered MDF material and is manufactured by an experienced sound furniture specialist in Germany. It has precisely calculated internal stiffeners, which effectively reinforce the stability of the already quite solid cabinet walls and effectively prevent sound-damaging natural resonances.
Tweeter
In the tweeter range, the proven nuOva tweeter with optimised sound guidance and an elaborately damped rear volume chamber is used. Its acoustically optimised sound front allows to further increase the distance between the dome and the cabinet edges compared to the previous asymmetrical Nubert tweeters, which further reduces the edge dispersion in axial direction and noticeably increases the clarity in the high frequency range.
Low-midrange speaker
The 10-centimetre bass-midrange driver is a new development that was designed especially for this model. Two of the four drivers exclusively take care of the bass range, the other two additionally cover the midrange frequencies - a powerful-sounding two-and-a-half-way design. The 10-centimetre driver is characterised by a particularly wide excursion range and enables an optimum ratio of large diaphragm excursion, maximum bass response and amplifier-friendly efficiency. The result is a highly resilient long-stroke woofer whose polypropylene diaphragm can deflect up to 15 mm in extreme cases.
Crossover
The excellent sound quality of the nuLine CS-64 is not least a result of the above-average crossover. It consists of 29 high-quality components, which, with one uncritical exception, are completely equipped with long-term stable film capacitors. Here, the signals coming from the amplifier are assigned to the three chassis branches, which also receive their final sonic polish via sophisticated compensation circuits. An unusually low crossover frequency of 1800 Hertz was chosen to ensure that the speaker radiates as evenly as possible. A protection circuit watches over the safety of the drivers and the crossover. If there is a risk of thermal overload, it cuts the amplifier current and then automatically resets itself to normal operation.
Switching options
The switch between the terminals of the terminal allows a threefold modification of the high frequency range from "soft" to "neutral" to "brilliant", which means that the speaker can be individually adapted to different living rooms with more or less textile sound damping or personal listening preferences.
Connection terminal
The extremely solid, gold-plated screw terminals of the bi-wiring terminal are also suitable for cables with a very large cross-section. Bi-wiring terminals allow the tweeter and low/midrange to be connected separately to the amplifier. This is a measure that can prevent sound loss with long cable lengths. In addition, the sound selector switches described above are located on the terminal.
