All-purpose loudspeaker
The nuLine WS-14 is a closed universal speaker. It is suitable for on-wall or ceiling mounting with the WH-10 wall bracket. With a cabinet depth of only 10 cm, it blends in unobtrusively anywhere and provides good sound almost invisibly. Especially in home cinema, it allows for a maximum homogeneous setup as a satellite.
Made for stereo
The nuLine WS-14 also allows you to access a tuning for a free set-up through the sound switches. This makes stereo an experience, especially with a nuSub model.
At home in the home cinema
An ideal homogeneous home cinema consists of identical loudspeakers. Due to its tuning for horizontal and vertical operation, the nuLine WS-14 is ideal as a satellite. Subwoofer tip? nuSub XW-700.
Ceiling solution
In combination with our WH-10 wall bracket, the nuLine WS-14 becomes even more flexible and can also be mounted on the ceiling for Dolby Atmos setups.

Details
nuOva B tweeter
With the nuLine WS-14, the tweeter is separated at 2400 Hz. The nuOva tweeter is a sophisticated high-tech product that has been optimised for minimal resonance. The main reason for this is the damped rear volume chamber, which ensures very fast decay. Your advantage: More details and a clear reproduction of music.
Low-midrange speaker
The bass-midrange drivers of the nuLine WS-14 work seamlessly below the tweeter. They enable detailed voice reproduction and rich low frequencies. Thanks to longstroke technology and an optimised cabinet, the wall-mounted speaker achieves a lower cut-off frequency of 100 Hz with wall mounting or 119 Hz with free-standing installation with high precision. Your advantage: Full-quality music reproduction with a small footprint.
Crossover
The crossover is the control centre and heart of the nuLine WS-14. Durable components ensure accurate reproduction and linear sound for decades. The switches on the back directly influence the crossover, allowing seamless switching between sound modes. In addition, the crossover has self-resetting fuses that protect the drivers from overload.
Closed construction
The compact and enclosed design allows the speaker to be mounted directly on a wall or ceiling. The specially tuned crossover adjusts the sound accordingly. This makes the nuLine WS-14, especially in combination with the WH-10 wall bracket, a true universal solution for surround systems. This way, you can achieve maximum homogeneity with identical speakers.
Colours
Our nuLine series relies on the high-quality lacquer finishes black and white, which are applied in several layers and sanded again and again for a perfect surface finish with a softline edge. The third option is a real highlight: the real wood veneer in walnut. This makes each model truly unique, just as with our limited Corten Edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our constantly improving nuLine series.
Design
In the nuLine series, clear shapes with delicate softline curves give the models a timeless elegance. Acoustic considerations are also at the forefront of the design process, as slightly rounded edges ensure less edge dispersion, as does the asymmetrical arrangement of the tweeters. This is matched by the elaborately calculated metal grille, which has hardly any measurable effect on the sound.

Our nuLine series is not only Made in Germany, but also committed to honest sound: All speakers reproduce music neutrally and thus exactly as it was recorded. Universell einsetzbar
Ob als Center, Surround Lautsprecher, oder als komplettes Surround-System mit Subwoofer Unterstützung, mit dem Lautsprecher ist das alles denkbar. In meinem Fall wurde er in ein bestehendes Surround System aus der nuVero Serie, als Höhenlautsprecher (Dolby Atmos, DTS:X) eingesetzt. Und auch wenn man erstmal zweifelt, ob so eine Mischung dem einheitlichen Klang gut tut, verfliegen diese negativen Gedanken sehr schnell, sobald die ersten Töne von oben erklingen. Das passt sogar super zusammen. Ich kann diesen tollen Lautsprecher nur weiterempfehlen!

nuLine WS-14
nubert im reisemobil!?! als langjähriger nutzer eines nuline surround-systems im heimkino habe ich die kleinen rückwärtigen boxen testhalber ins reisemobil gesetzt. wow - endlich mal grosse musikwiedergabe! leider war der formfaktor nicht gar so befriedigend, da sie zu tief bauen... daraufhin die von den dimensionen besser passenden kleinen nubox-lautsprecher 103 bestellt, die aber im ggs. zu den nuline nicht punkten konnten. kurzerhand die nuline ws-14 entdeckt, die mit ihrer geringen bautiefe perfekt passen. die nuboxen gingen zurück und die nuline spielen mit einem kleinen 12-volt verstärker (mit TPA3116D2-chip, kann was!) wirklich gross und potent auf. davor als zuspieler/streamer ein raumfeld connector mit angeflanschter festplatte und so habe ich meine gesamte und umfangreiche musiksammlung dabei. nie hätte ich gedacht, in meiner mobilen behausung so gut musik zu hören (und ich bin zuhause wirklich verwöhnt) - sicherlich nicht der von nubert angedachte verwendungszweck aber ein ergebnis und setup welches es in optischer wie akustischer beziehung unbedingt lohnt auszuprobieren! danke an nubert für die möglichkeit die verschiedenen boxen in der ungewohnten umgebung ausprobieren zu können - anders wäre keine entscheidung möglich gewesen.

Box type and recommended use
The special feature of the slim nuLine WS-14 is that it can be operated as a wall-mounted speaker, but also free-standing. A switchable crossover tuning ensures a highly neutral sound image at all times. Especially when used as a wall-mounted speaker, the WS-14 can be placed inconspicuously, for example next to a flat screen. This speaker can also be used as a centre or rear speaker in an ambitious surround system, and its compact dimensions help to solve many a set-up problem. The lower cut-off frequency of the WS-14 (below 100 Hz/-6 dB) harmonises perfectly with a subwoofer such as the nuSub XW-700. In terms of sound, this combination comes very close to a large floorstanding speaker; in terms of the "massiveness" of the sound image, it can even surpass some floorstanding speakers. The speakers of the nuLine series are developed in Schwäbisch Gmünd and manufactured according to our specifications at a traditional specialist company for sound furniture construction in Germany.
Construction principle and housing
Two-way loudspeaker in closed design. The elaborately crafted cabinet is made of multi-layer lacquered MDF material and is manufactured by an experienced sound furniture specialist in Germany. Two threaded bushings (M8) on the front sides and a keyhole suspension device on the rear of the cabinet allow for easy wall mounting.
Tweeter
Through the consistent further development of proven tweeter drivers, it was possible to realise a driver that achieves unprecedented qualities in this price class. A characteristic of the nuOva design is the asymmetrical front panel. This allows the tweeter to be positioned significantly off-centre on the baffle, reducing edge refraction effects. In addition, the tweeter has a rear chamber with specially tuned volume and damping material to absorb sound and prevent resonance. To achieve an optimal result, the damping material, its position and especially the shape of the chamber must be precisely matched. Especially here, the nuLine WS-14 benefited from the Nubert engineers' many years of experience in developing first-class tweeters.
Woofer
The two 12-centimetre long-stroke woofers fitted in the WS-14 are closely related to the drivers of the nuLine 264 and CS-174 models. These high-tech drivers enable an optimum ratio of large cone excursion, maximum bass response and amplifier-friendly efficiency. This is how highly resilient long-stroke woofers were created, whose polypropylene cones can deflect up to 20 mm in extreme cases. With these woofers, despite the compact enclosure, a lower cut-off frequency can be achieved that enables an acoustically problem-free coupling to our subwoofers.
Crossover and switching options
The crossover of the nuLine WS-14 is enormously complex for such a small speaker. To meet the different acoustic requirements of wall-mounted or free-standing installation, the crossover of the WS-14 can be switched between "free-standing" and "wall-mounted". Another switch allows for additional adjustment of the high-frequency range. Here you can choose between a neutral and a brilliant high-frequency tuning, which allows the speaker to be individually adapted to different living rooms with more or less textile sound damping or personal listening preferences. A protection circuit watches over the safety of the two drivers and the crossover. If there is a risk of thermal overload, it cuts the amplifier current and then automatically resets itself to normal operation.
Connection terminal
On the back of the WS-14 wall speaker is the sturdy connection terminal with gold-plated metal screw terminals that are suitable for speaker cables with a cross-section of up to 6 mm². This terminal also houses the switches for position selection and tweeter adjustment.
Wall mounting
The nuLine WS-14 is prepared for vertical wall mounting with a keyhole suspension device on the back. In the Nubert accessories range we also offer the colour-matching, shapely and very stable wall bracket WH-10. It is mounted via two threaded bushes on the front of the speaker and allows the speaker to be tilted or swivelled around the longitudinal axis, depending on its use.
Ceiling mounting
With the matching WH-10 wall bracket, the WS-14 is also recommended as a ceiling speaker in a Dolby Atmos system with height channels. As with wall mounting, check in advance whether the surface can safely support the speaker and bracket.
