More understatement
The nuPower D is a stereo power amplifier in a class of its own. The Class D technology allows for pure understatement. With a cabinet height of 9 cm, it offers a peak power of 1290 watts per channel into 4 ohms. This is the result of modern technologies, sophisticated thermal management and a high-performance power supply that can provide peak currents of 4000 watts.

Setting options
The rotary control on the front allows you to switch between two different pairs of speakers (A or B9, or to operate them in parallel (A + B operation). The corresponding speaker connections are labelled on the back per side. The nuPower D has RCA and XLR inputs that you can switch on the back. This allows you to operate a stereo setup and multi-channel setup in parallel.

Class D amplifier
Class D power amplifiers are known for their high efficiency and effectiveness. With a sufficient power supply, we have created a unique combination of low heat generation, enormous power and little space requirement with this technology. In practice, this means up to two times 1290 watts peak power and two times 920 watts continuous power. Your advantage: Enough power for almost any application.
Powerful power supply unit
The power supply can deliver up to 4000 watts, because there is no "too much" power reserve. This means that even for enormously dynamic pieces at enormous levels, there is still enough room for improvement. In combination with the powerful output stages, the result is a power amplifier of superlatives. Your advantage: Full dynamic range even at high levels thanks to high-performance technology.
Pure understatement
The nuPower D relies on a 9 cm flat housing that is an ideal match for our nuControl X sound manager. It's hard to believe that this small stereo power amplifier can pack the punch you'd expect from much larger models. This makes the nuPower D the ideal solution for anyone looking for an unobtrusive 1000 watt power amplifier. Its advantage: small footprint with enormous level reserves.
Groundlift
On the bottom of the nuControl there is a switch that can be used to interrupt the ground contact (ground lift). If ground-related humming noises occur, as is often the case when connecting a cable or satellite receiver to a system, the switch counteracts this. Your advantage: You get a possibility to banish noise from the system.
Colours and design
Our nuPower D takes its cue from classic hi-fi shapes and updates them. The large silver aluminium rotary knob contrasts strikingly with the black housing and facilitates operation. In combination with the nuControl X preamplifier, this results in a harmonious combination that also convinced the design editors of Reddot and iF.

Ja, mein Schatz.
Den XLR-Anschluss und das einfache Switchen zum Cinch kann ich brauchen, vom deutschen Industriedesign à la Rams, Meurer et al. bin ich Fan. Bei der Oberpower der nuPower D bleibt ein gesunder, kleiner Zweifel. Und dann das Problem mit der Auflösung: Für die breiten und tiefen Bühnen dieser Welt gibt es Geräte, die deinen Kontostand weniger schnell auflösen. Meine Liebe kommt aus der Küche, schiebt den Vorhang beiseite und fragt: Muss das sein? Nö. Aber ich finde das Teil cool. Außerdem verreisen wir nicht und dürfen arbeiten. Noch rechtzeitig gelingt?s mir, über die technische Realität zu schweigen: Fachidiot macht Wünsche tot. Aber dafür möchte ich a, b und c. Mir fällt als Ausgleich für deine neue Power Dora bestimmt noch was anderes ein. Kein Ohm Widerstand! Ja, mein Schatz. Geschafft, alles gut. Meine Power Dora rauscht nicht, brummt nicht, heizt nicht und klingt nicht. Es wird leiser oder lauter ? auch etwas lauterererer ? sonst nichts. Also ein fein designter Verstärker, bestimmt so gut und schön wie a, b, c ? und inzwischen d und e. Mann ist zufrieden, wenn sie es ist. An guten Tagen glaubt jetzt sie, dass alles besser klingt. Als ich gestern aus der Küche kam und den Vorhang beiseite schob, meinte sie, sie habe gehört, dass ? P.S. Um eine technische Frage hat sich Herr Domaier gekümmert. Alles wie immer: Der Rückruf kam schnell, die Info war präzise und ein Gespräch über Gott, Welt und Sound gab?s als Dreingabe. Bei einem solchen Gesamtleistungsservicetechnikoberpaket wirkt der Preis wieder zivil.

Unit type and recommendations for use
The Nubert nuPower D is a powerful stereo power amplifier that completes a high-quality hi-fi reproduction chain consisting of a feed, preamplifier and loudspeakers. Thanks to its balanced design throughout, the use of the latest digital switching amplifier technology and selected components, the nuPower D is characterised by particularly high sound purity.
With a continuous output power of 2x 920 watts (4 ohms) and a generously dimensioned switching power supply that provides up to 4,000 watts, the nuPower D has sufficient reserves to drive even power-hungry speakers and to fully exploit the sound potential of a high-end system. Even at full output, there are no increased distortion values. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 116 dBA and total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 0.01%, the nuPower D meets the highest audiophile demands and, in our opinion, scores record values in its price and size class.
We particularly recommend the nuPower D in combination with our nuControl preamplifier as well as with the speakers of our top nuVero series. Thanks to its versatile connection options, including a pair of XLR inputs and high-quality fine-thread terminals, as well as its flexible design, it also works harmoniously with other preamplifiers and speaker models. The nuPower D can drive up to two pairs of speakers, either alternately or simultaneously. Thanks to the high load stability, it doesn't matter whether the speakers are 2-ohm, 4-ohm or 8-ohm.
Connections
The nuPower D has a pair of XLR inputs (balanced) and a pair of RCA inputs (unbalanced), as well as a speaker terminal with two pairs of fine-thread screw terminals that allow it to be easily integrated into a stereo system. In addition, a trigger input in mini-XLR format is available (cable included). A complete list of the connections can be found under "Technical data".
Housing and design
The design of the nuControl/nuPower D pre-power amplifier combination, which has won two prestigious awards, is also in keeping with the claim of a high-end product. It is made of partly brushed, partly glass-bead blasted aluminium, with a high-quality matt black finish. With a width of just 43 centimetres, the nuPower D fits perfectly into standard AV shelves and also matches other components. Of course, the design of our nuControl and nuPower amplifier components is perfectly matched.
Operating elements
The nuPower D has only two controls on the front: The stand-by button on the left and the speaker selector switch (operating modes: a, b, a + b) on the right. Volume control is via the preamplifier. A 28-page manual explains all options and offers typical application examples.
