Slender and emphatic temptation
High-quality active floorstanding speaker set with perfect practical value: it may sound a little sober, but it describes our nuPro SP-500 package almost perfectly. With power amplifiers that generate enough power even for action blockbusters, flexible connectivity including HDMI eARC and Bluetooth aptX HD as well as decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS, the nuPro SP-500 can take on any mission. Acoustic upgrade for your TV
As a classic upgrade for the TV, the nuPro SP-500 provide more emphasis, more volume, more spatial width and clear voices. When connected via HDMI eARC, you can also conveniently control the volume using the TV remote control. Alternatively, an optical and an analogue input are available.
The stereo power
The nuPro SP-500 set also focusses on outstanding stereo sound quality and is therefore also suitable as a replacement for the classic stereo system. All content can be played with an existing CD or network player via the digital inputs. Or you can stream via smartphone - using Bluetooth aptX HD.
Even stronger with nuSub
33 Hz lower cut-off frequency: Our nuPro SP-500 set plays down really low. If you want even more and even deeper bass for the film spectacle, we recommend a model from the nuSub series, such as the nuSub XW-900. Simply connect the nuPro SP-500 with the appropriate cables and the low-frequency fun factor increases even further.

Remote control
The remote control with metal surface is clearly laid out and offers quick access to the inputs, volume, DSP modes, sound control and a Bluetooth pairing button to connect the smartphone.
Wide mode plus adaptive loudness switching
We have developed an adaptive loudness function so that the bass is reproduced at full volume even at low volumes. A wide function is also integrated, which makes the sound of the SP-500 set sound more expansive. Your advantage: maximum sound under all conditions.
Voice+ and tone control
Dialogue can always be heard clearly and distinctly thanks to our clever Voice+ function. You can also adjust the bass range as well as the mids and highs. Your advantage: your taste determines the sound.
Dolby and DTS integrated
Blu-rays, DVDs and streaming content usually come with a Dolby or DTS track that offers an acoustically harmonious mix. In our nuPro SP sets, we support these codecs and thus create the optimum sound from the data. Your advantage: room-filling sound and less configuration work.
Colours

This speaker is designed exclusively for sound reproduction in dry rooms. Use the speaker only as described in this manual. Any other use (particularly safety-relevant or medical use, installation in open environments like IP-certified products) is considered improper and may result in property damage or even personal injury. Nubert electronic GmbH does not assume any liability for damages caused by improper use.
General Information
Never operate the loudspeaker unattended!
Danger of Electric Shock!
To avoid the risk of electric shock, the speaker may not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the speaker. Service work and repairs are reserved for qualified specialists authorized by Nubert. If you need service, please contact Nubert electronic GmbH directly (info@nubert.de)!
Danger of Suffocation!
Never let children use or play with the speaker, remote control, or packaging unattended. There is a risk that children will get caught in the packaging film and suffocate. Make sure that children cannot remove any small parts from the devices! These parts, like the remote control battery, could be swallowed and cause suffocation. In case of swallowing any parts, contact a doctor immediately!
Danger of Injury or Damage!
When moving the speaker, take care to avoid injury and damage!
Caution!
Since the speaker can only be completely disconnected from the mains at the mains input on the rear of the unit or by pulling the mains plug from the socket, it must be positioned so that you have free access to the mains input or mains plug. If any of the following situations occurs, the loudspeaker must be switched off immediately and disconnected from the mains. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH (info@nubert.de) immediately:
- The speaker has been damaged or has fallen down.
- Power cord or plug is damaged.
- Objects or liquid have gotten into the loudspeaker.
- The speaker has been exposed to excessive moisture or rain.
- The speaker does not work properly or exhibits a significant reduction in performance.
- The loudspeaker smells burnt, develops smoke, or makes unusual noises.

Installation Instructions
Caution!
An unstable location can damage the speaker.
- Only place the loudspeaker on a flat, stable surface and make sure that it cannot be knocked over!
- Also make sure that no unintentional pulling can occur on the cables to avoid knocking over the speaker or damaging the connection sockets!
- Keep strong mechanical shocks away from the loudspeaker!
Caution!
Excessive heat build-up inside the unit can shorten its service life or lead to fire.
- Never cover the back of the speaker! Make sure that there is a clearance of at least 10 cm and sufficient air circulation in the back area!
- Do not operate the speaker and remote control near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
- Do not expose the speaker and remote control to direct sunlight.
- Never place burning candles or similar open fire sources on the loudspeaker!
Danger of Explosion!
Installation in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the speaker or remote control:
- in environments where there is a risk of fire or explosion!
- at extremely low or extremely high temperatures!
- near flammable gases or vapours!
- near strong dust!
- near flammable materials!
Danger of Electric Shock!
The loudspeaker carries mains voltage and voltages higher than 35 V AC or DC inside. It has no special protection against the intrusion of liquids or objects into the system. There is therefore a risk of lethal electric shock.
- Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
- Only use the speaker in a dry place!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
- The loudspeaker must be protected from liquids of all kinds, including dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place any containers containing liquids (e.g., flower vases) on the speaker or in the immediate vicinity!
- If the loudspeaker is moved from a cold environment to a warm room, condensation may form inside the unit. Wait at least six hours until the loudspeaker has reached room temperature and is dry before switching it on!
- No objects of any kind may get into the device.
- Should the loudspeaker come into contact with liquids or should objects have gotten inside, please unplug the mains plug immediately and contact Nubert electronic GmbH (info@nubert.de)!
Danger of Injury or Damage!
For speakers with threaded bushings on the underside:
The threaded bushings may be used for upright mounting of the loudspeaker on suitable base plates or feet only. The threaded bushings on the underside of the loudspeaker enclosures are not designed for tensile loads and must therefore not be used as holders for hooks or similar devices in order to suspend the loudspeaker cabinet. A falling speaker may cause serious injury and damage.
Connection Instructions
General Connection Instructions
- Disconnect the mains plug before changing any wiring on the system!
- Make sure that all connections have been made correctly and that all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets before connecting the speaker to the mains.
- Use only the intended cables or plug connections for the connections! Failure to do so may result in damage or malfunction.
- If you want to disconnect connections on the loudspeaker, always pull the plug, never the cable!
- Ensure that all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets!
- Only use cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!
Danger of Electric Shock!
Faulty mains supply systems or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shocks.
- All power supply or antenna systems connected to the loudspeaker must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and be professionally installed by an approved installation company.
- Use only the appropriate power cord to connect the speaker. Do not modify the power cord or its plug.
- Make sure that the mains voltage at your location matches the requirements of the loudspeaker! The correct power supply can be found on the label on the back of the speaker. It must not be connected to other power supplies.
- Devices of Class 1 construction must be connected to the mains power socket outlet with a protective earth connection. Make sure that the installation of the protective earth is carried out correctly!
- When laying the power cables, make sure that they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heating or mechanical stress)! Pay particular attention to the areas of the connectors and distributors!
Caution!
Overvoltage in the power supply system (e.g., due to lightning) can damage or destroy the device and power supply unit.
- An overvoltage protection element can provide a certain degree of protection against excessively high voltages in the power grid.
- However, the greatest possible protection against damage can only be achieved with the complete separation from the mains supply. In case of thunderstorms or danger of lightning strikes, disconnect the mains cable from the socket and any antenna plugs from your hi-fi system!
- If the speaker is not used for a long period of time or is unattended, the power supply should be disconnected. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket!
Remote Control and Battery
This product comes with a remote control and a battery. The following must be observed when handling remote controls and batteries:
- If the batteries are discharged, the range of the remote control will decrease significantly. If this happens, replace the batteries immediately.
- Always use high-quality CR2025 lithium button cells as replacement batteries.
- Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery into the battery compartment!
Caution!
Improper handling can lead to material damage.
- Do not drop the remote control!
- Do not expose the remote control and battery to water or other liquids!
- Do not operate or store the remote control and battery in locations with high humidity or particularly high or low temperature!
Danger!
Leaking or exploding batteries can pose a health hazard and cause damage to goods.
- If you do not use the device for a long time or if the batteries are depleted, remove the batteries from the remote control to prevent discharge, leakage of acid, or explosions.
- Leaking batteries must be replaced immediately.
- If you find a leaking battery, do not touch the leaking material and dispose of the batteries immediately!
- Do not touch leaking batteries!
- Should your skin, eyes, or mouth come into contact with the leaking material, clean the affected area immediately with water and contact a doctor!
Danger! Do Not Ingest Battery, Chemical Burn Hazard!
Ingestion of batteries can cause severe internal burns and death within a short time span.
- Ensure that batteries do not get into your body by any means, in particular that they cannot be swallowed!
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If you think that batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention!
Care and Cleaning Tips
Caution!
Improper handling of the speaker may result in damage.
- Always unplug the speaker before cleaning it!
- Before recommissioning, make sure that all connections are correct, that there are no short circuits, and that the speaker is completely dry.
- Never use strong cleaning agents or solvents such as petrol, spirit, or similar!
Enclosure
We recommend commercial window cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This allows almost all fingerprints and dust to be easily removed. Alternatively, you can also use window active foam.
We advise against the use of microfibre cloths! These can cause mini scratches in the surface.
Diaphragms and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a loudspeaker chassis, a lint-free cotton cloth is sufficient to wipe the membrane lightly with very little pressure.

Einfach spitze
Die SP-500 sind meine ersten eigenen Lautsprecher von Nubert. Ich bin super begeistert von dem Sound, den die beiden kleinen Standlautsprecher produzieren. Die Höhen sind klar und detailliert, jedoch zu keinem Zeitpunkt anstrengend. So ist auch langer Musikgenuss möglich. Der Bass ist hart und deutlich stärker als ich es erwartet habe. Er geht wirklich tief und ist sehr imposant, wirkt jedoch nicht aufgebläht. Die Konnektivität über Bluetooth funktioniert problemlos und über den optischen Eingang ist er mit dem Fernseher verbunden. Super klang auch bei Filmen und Serien! Die Lautsprecher und die Fernbedienung ist für den Preis extrem hochwertig verarbeitet. Loudness & Wide Modi sind eine nette Spielerei mit echtem Mehrwert, gerade bei Filmen ist Loudness & Voice + Modus kombiniert super. Für den Musikgenuss schalte ich beide Funktionen aus, obwohl der Wide Modus mit etwas angepassten Höhen und Mitten auch ein sehr schönes Spektakel bietet. Für den Preis würde ich mir die Lautsprecher auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen und kann sie nur weiterempfehlen.

Tolle Lautsprecher mit super Support
Der Service von nubert ist super. Die weißen/schlanken Lautsprecher passen sich optisch sehr gut in den Raum ein. Die Boxen ein Allrounder für Musik oder Fernsehen . Die speicherbaren Einstellungen für TV und Musik erleichtern das hin und her schalten . Mich haben diese Boxen überzeugt. Danke an die gute Betreuung von Nubert.

Lautsprecher zum Verlieben
Ich hatte damals die NuPro X-3000 zum Testen - umwerfend, aber mir dann doch zu teuer. Die NuPro SP-200 sind genau richtig vom Preis und auch vom Sound - super Lautsprecher, doch wie klingen jetzt die SP-500 zum Vergleich? Gefragt und bestellt. Habe die SP-200 und SP-500 länger verglichen. Die SP-200 spielen fast so gut wie die SP-500, doch die SP-500 haben einfach noch das gewisse etwas. Auch sehen diese weißen Standsäulen im Raum einfach super aus. Somit habe ich die SP-500 behalten. Habe zwar noch passive Standlautsprecher einer anderen Marke die vom Volumen her weit größer sind - deshalb klingen diese bei Donner und Trommeln etwas besser, die SP-500 allerdings haben einen deutlich stärkeren Bass, der so richtig die Luft zum Schwingen bringen kann. Besucher bestaunen die SP-500 auch immer wieder und sind vom Kling begeistert - aber die meisten wollen nicht so viel Geld für Lautsprecher ausgeben. Ich kann die SP-500 jedenfalls nur empfehlen - an Anschlüssen alles da was man normal so braucht, eine sehr gute Fernbedienung ist auch dabei (hochwertig) und auch die Lautstärkenanzeige am Lautsprecher ist sehr gut sichtbar und sehr wichtig - hatte kürzlich einen Lautsprecher zum Testen, der hatte dies nicht - jedes Mal eine Überraschung mit welcher Lautstärke das Teil dir den Sound um die Ohren haut, geht gar nicht. Die Bass-Einstellung der SP-500 ist auch sehr gut und wichtig - dazu kann man sich 3 Modi abspeichern. Die Loudness-Funktion ist zum Glück auch dabei, wichtig wenn man mal leise hört. Vielen Dank an Nubert, dass ihr mit der NuPro SP-Reihe eine günstigere Alternative zu der gewaltigen NuPro X-Reihe gebracht habt.

In the beautifully shaped wooden cabinets with rounded edges, the silk-matt shimmering sanded finish in black or white, the elegantly sloping metal feet and the magnetically adhering covers made of high-quality acoustic fabric, the nuPro SP-500s cut a brilliant figure not only acoustically but also visually. Thanks to the supplied remote control, the operation is always comfortable. For sources with HDMI/eARC connections, such as modern televisions, important settings such as volume can even be controlled with the remote control of the external player. The nuPro SP-500's many functions include bass and treble control, a loudness circuit that increases the bass pressure at low volumes, as well as the innovative "Voice+" mode and Nubert's tried-and-tested "listening zone expansion". Construction principle and housing
The nuPro SP-500 are two fully active three-way speakers that can be connected to form a stereo pair. All audio sources are connected to the master speaker (the right speaker), which houses the signal processing, control and amplifier modules and controls the client (left). Single or mono operation of the speakers is not intended.
The integrated digital amplifier provides two times 20 watts for the two tweeter paths (left/right) and two times 60 watts for the midrange/woofer branches. The music output is two times 30 and 90 watts respectively. The sound signal first passes through the active DSP crossover and is then passed on to the amplifier modules. This enables a precise separation and linearisation of the frequency ranges, which is particularly beneficial for low bass reproduction.
The cabinets of both speakers are made of acoustically advantageous and robust wood fibre boards (MDF), which are beautifully rounded at the cross edges and sealed with a high-quality sanding lacquer in the colours black or white. The bass reflex ports are located on the rear of both speakers.
To emphasise the homely feel of the nuPro SP-500, two magnetically adhering covers are supplied, covered in mottled grey acoustic fabric. If you prefer a more technical, clean look, you can of course operate the speakers without the protective covers.
The nuPro SP-500 is supplied with bevelled feet, which are attached with the enclosed mounting kit and both increase stability and decouple the speakers from the subfloor.
Chassis
The three 15-centimetre drivers of the nuPro SP-500, which cover the mid/bass range, have already proven their worth in the models of the nuPro-X series. Thanks to their modern polypropylene cone, wide excursion, powerful magnet drive and effective cooling, they shine with impressive performance values that reveal themselves in outstanding impulse fidelity, impressive load stability and profound bass response. This helps the nuPro SP-500 to achieve an astonishingly wide reproduction range, right down to a lower cut-off frequency of 33 Hertz (at minus three decibels).
The tweeter with its silk fabric dome tweeter with a diameter of 25 millimetres is also used in the bigger sisters of the nuPro X series. Among other things, it is characterised by a particularly wide, even dispersion, fine resolution in the upper frequency range and effective damping. Thus, the nuPro SP-500 shine with a detailed but harmonious high-frequency reproduction, even at higher levels.
Operation and setting options
The nuPro SP-500 can be controlled either with the included remote control or via a rotary knob on the master speaker. A multi-coloured LED ring illuminates the control knob and provides information about the operating mode and settings in both cases.
The remote control is characterised by its high-quality exterior, its ergonomic shape and its pleasant weight. It offers quick access to all settings, from volume control to source selection and sound tuning. Alternatively, the most important options can also be accessed via the precise rotary knob on the right speaker. If the nuPro SP-500s are connected to the (e)ARC port of a TV via HDMI, the volume can also be adjusted via the TV remote control.
Tone control
The SP sound pair's many adjustment options include a convenient tone control that can boost or attenuate bass and treble response. An adaptive loudness circuit improves low-frequency imaging at low levels, if desired.
The "Voice+" sound mode, which intensifies the voice reproduction and thus ensures better speech intelligibility, is particularly useful for films and TV programmes. In contrast, the multi-level "Audible Zone Expansion" ("Wide" on the remote control) offers a broader stereo effect and a more vivid stage image, primarily for music reproduction, without distorting the sound character of the recording.
Connections and decoding
There are four audio connections on the back of the master speaker. The analogue RCA input and the two digital inputs (one optical, one electrical) connect classic hi-fi players, entertainment systems and home cinema devices. The HDMI port is recommended for connection to a TV set, projector or AV receiver with a suitable ARC or eARC output, which transmits control commands in addition to audio signals. An external subwoofer can be operated at the sub-out to increase the low bass or sound pressure of the bass reproduction. In this case, the speaker is automatically operated with a crossover frequency of 80 Hertz.
Mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops can be paired wirelessly with the nuPro speakers via Bluetooth. Thanks to support for aptX HD (for Android devices) and AAC (for iOS devices) as well as aptX Low Latency, the signal is transmitted in high-resolution quality and with the shortest possible delay.
The nuPro SP-500 not only reproduces sound in PCM format, but also decodes Dolby Digital (AC3) and DTS Digital Surround. This means that the speakers optimally prepare sound tracks from Blu-ray discs, DVDs or streaming videos for stereo playback. If necessary, the correct format, the correct output and the ARC function must be activated on the source player.
Energy
The nuPro SP-500s are equipped with a convenient automatic energy-saving feature that switches the speakers on independently or puts them into power-saving standby mode when not in use. When connected via HDMI/eARC, the active speakers follow the activation commands of the source device. In stand-by mode, which can also be activated manually via the remote control or the rotary control, the speakers consume less than 0.5 watts. If desired, the system can be completely disconnected from the mains by means of a rocker switch. The wide-range power supply allows these active speakers to be used with mains voltages of 110/120 or 230/240 volts.
