High End Soundbar
Our nuPro XS-8500 RC is a real high-end soundbar that can convince with its sound all along the line. At 120 cm, it reproduces stereo significantly better than its narrower peers. The soundplate not only offers more volume, but also the possibility of providing a footprint for TV sets weighing up to 100 kg.
Upgrade for your TV
As a classic upgrade for the TV, the nuPro XS-8500 RC provides more volume and clearer voices on the TV. When connected via HDMI ARC, you can also conveniently control the volume with the TV remote control.
Replaces the stereo system
The nuPro XS-8500 RC was developed for the greatest possible detail reproduction and is therefore also suitable as a replacement for the classic stereo system. Your favourite tracks can arrive via an existing CD or network player through the digital inputs, or streamed from your smartphone with Bluetooth aptX HD.
Subwoofer combination
30 Hz lower cut-off frequency means plenty of low end and bass. If even more bass is desired for the next film spectacle, we recommend the models in our nuSub-Series. A single subwoofer can be connected wirelessly via X-Connect. Multiple subwoofers can be connected by cable or wirelessly with the nuConnect trX. The advantage for you is that you have even more level reserves for the next party.
Expandable
If you want to experience even more spatial and precise surround effects, you can expand the XS-8500 RC to a 7.1.4 system. The speakers are connected wirelessly via X-Connect Surround. Your advantage: Sound at home like in the cinema.

DSP master
The high-performance DSP processing controls different amplifier trains for different chassis. We also use our highly developed DSPs: Movie, Music and the popular Voice+ for perfect voice intelligibility. Signals are processed at up to 384 kHz/32-bit - which also demonstrates the system's performance.
X-Connect und X-Connect Surround
Thanks to Nubert's own wireless standards, it is easy to connect several nuPro XS speakers to the nuPro XS-8500 RC - for a powerful multi-channel system. It is also possible to connect an active nuSub bass speaker wirelessly - or in the traditional way via cable. Well, with a lower cut-off frequency of 30 Hz, this is by no means essential, but some users never get enough of deep bass. Further information.
X-Remote
Of course, we include a handy premium remote control with all nuPro XS speakers. But with our X-Remote app, you also have another convenient option for remote control. Working with the energy-saving Bluetooth LE, you will find all setting options and functions clearly arranged in the app.
X-Room Calibration
Calibration - that always sounds like a lot of work and a lot of expertise. Not with our X-Room calibration, which conveniently corrects the bass range from 20 to 160 Hz by -/+ 6 dB using a fully parametric EQ via smartphone. You'll be enjoying pure, dynamic sound in no time at all. For Android devices, an additional microphone available from us is required due to different hardware equipment.

Design
Contemporary loudspeakers today have an understated and elegant appearance - in the sense of seamless integration into practically any ambience. This challenge has been perfectly realised with the design of the nuPro XS series in the form of a timelessly simple front with gentle curves and no visible screws. The magnetic cover is extremely slim, with curves that adapt perfectly to the shape of the housing. The high-resolution, integrated display provides information about important current settings.
Series overview
Our top series of active speakers is the 5-model nuPro-XS series. They can be controlled via the Nubert X-Remote app, which also allows room calibration via X-Room Calibration from a smartphone. This speaker is designed exclusively for sound reproduction in dry rooms. Use the speaker only as described in this manual. Any other use (particularly safety-relevant or medical use, installation in open environments like IP-certified products) is considered improper and may result in property damage or even personal injury. Nubert electronic GmbH does not assume any liability for damages caused by improper use.
General Information
Never operate the loudspeaker unattended!
Danger of Electric Shock!
To avoid the risk of electric shock, the speaker may not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the speaker. Service work and repairs are reserved for qualified specialists authorized by Nubert. If you need service, please contact Nubert electronic GmbH directly (info@nubert.de)!
Danger of Suffocation!
Never let children use or play with the speaker, remote control, or packaging unattended. There is a risk that children will get caught in the packaging film and suffocate. Make sure that children cannot remove any small parts from the devices! These parts, like the remote control battery, could be swallowed and cause suffocation. In case of swallowing any parts, contact a doctor immediately!
Danger of Injury or Damage!
When moving the speaker, take care to avoid injury and damage!
Caution!
Since the speaker can only be completely disconnected from the mains at the mains input on the rear of the unit or by pulling the mains plug from the socket, it must be positioned so that you have free access to the mains input or mains plug. If any of the following situations occurs, the loudspeaker must be switched off immediately and disconnected from the mains. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH (info@nubert.de) immediately:
- The speaker has been damaged or has fallen down.
- Power cord or plug is damaged.
- Objects or liquid have gotten into the loudspeaker.
- The speaker has been exposed to excessive moisture or rain.
- The speaker does not work properly or exhibits a significant reduction in performance.
- The loudspeaker smells burnt, develops smoke, or makes unusual noises.
Only use accessories recommended by Nubert!
Installation Instructions
Caution!
An unstable location can damage the speaker.
- Only place the loudspeaker on a flat, stable surface and make sure that it cannot be knocked over!
- Also make sure that no unintentional pulling can occur on the cables to avoid knocking over the speaker or damaging the connection sockets!
- Keep strong mechanical shocks away from the loudspeaker!
Caution!
Excessive heat build-up inside the unit can shorten its service life or lead to fire.
- Never cover the back of the speaker! Make sure that there is a clearance of at least 10 cm and sufficient air circulation in the back area!
- Do not operate the speaker and remote control near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
- Do not expose the speaker and remote control to direct sunlight.
- Never place burning candles or similar open fire sources on the loudspeaker!
Danger of Explosion!
Installation in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the speaker or remote control:
- in environments where there is a risk of fire or explosion!
- at extremely low or extremely high temperatures!
- near flammable gases or vapours!
- near strong dust!
- near flammable materials!
Danger of Electric Shock!
The loudspeaker carries mains voltage and voltages higher than 35 V AC or DC inside. It has no special protection against the intrusion of liquids or objects into the system. There is therefore a risk of lethal electric shock.
- Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
- Only use the speaker in a dry place!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
- The loudspeaker must be protected from liquids of all kinds, including dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place any containers containing liquids (e.g., flower vases) on the speaker or in the immediate vicinity!
- If the loudspeaker is moved from a cold environment to a warm room, condensation may form inside the unit. Wait at least six hours until the loudspeaker has reached room temperature and is dry before switching it on!
- No objects of any kind may get into the device.
- Should the loudspeaker come into contact with liquids or should objects have gotten inside, please unplug the mains plug immediately and contact Nubert electronic GmbH (info@nubert.de)!
Danger of Injury or Damage!
For speakers with threaded bushings on the underside:
- The threaded bushings may be used for upright mounting of the loudspeaker on suitable base plates or feet only.
- The threaded bushings on the underside of the loudspeaker enclosures are not designed for tensile loads and must therefore not be used as holders for hooks or similar devices in order to suspend the loudspeaker cabinet.
- A falling speaker may cause serious injury and damage.
Connection Instructions
General Connection Instructions
- Disconnect the mains plug before changing any wiring on the system!
- Make sure that all connections have been made correctly and that all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets before connecting the speaker to the mains.
- Use only the intended cables or plug connections for the connections! Failure to do so may result in damage or malfunction.
- If you want to disconnect connections on the loudspeaker, always pull the plug, never the cable!
- Ensure that all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets!
- Only use cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!
Danger of Electric Shock!
Faulty mains supply systems or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shocks.
- All power supply or antenna systems connected to the loudspeaker must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and be professionally installed by an approved installation company.
- Use only the appropriate power cord to connect the speaker. Do not modify the power cord or its plug.
- Make sure that the mains voltage at your location matches the requirements of the loudspeaker! The correct power supply can be found on the label on the back of the speaker. It must not be connected to other power supplies.
- Devices of Class 1 construction must be connected to the mains power socket outlet with a protective earth connection. Make sure that the installation of the protective earth is carried out correctly!
- When laying the power cables, make sure that they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heating or mechanical stress)! Pay particular attention to the areas of the connectors and distributors!
Caution!
Overvoltage in the power supply system (e.g., due to lightning) can damage or destroy the device and power supply unit.
- An overvoltage protection element can provide a certain degree of protection against excessively high voltages in the power grid.
- However, the greatest possible protection against damage can only be achieved with the complete separation from the mains supply. In case of thunderstorms or danger of lightning strikes, disconnect the mains cable from the socket and any antenna plugs from your hi-fi system!
- If the speaker is not used for a long period of time or is unattended, the power supply should be disconnected. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket!
Remote Control and Battery
This product comes with a remote control and a battery. The following must be observed when handling remote controls and batteries:
- If the batteries are discharged, the range of the remote control will decrease significantly. If this happens, replace the batteries immediately.
- Always use high-quality CR2025 lithium button cells as replacement batteries.
- Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery into the battery compartment!
Caution!
Improper handling can lead to material damage.
- Do not drop the remote control!
- Do not expose the remote control and battery to water or other liquids!
- Do not operate or store the remote control and battery in locations with high humidity or particularly high or low temperature!
Danger!
Leaking or exploding batteries can pose a health hazard and cause damage to goods.
- If you do not use the device for a long time or if the batteries are depleted, remove the batteries from the remote control to prevent discharge, leakage of acid, or explosions.
- Leaking batteries must be replaced immediately.
- If you find a leaking battery, do not touch the leaking material and dispose of the batteries immediately!
- Do not touch leaking batteries!
- Should your skin, eyes, or mouth come into contact with the leaking material, clean the affected area immediately with water and contact a doctor!
Danger! Do Not Ingest Battery, Chemical Burn Hazard!
Ingestion of batteries can cause severe internal burns and death within a short time span.
- Ensure that batteries do not get into your body by any means, in particular that they cannot be swallowed!
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If you think that batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention!
Care and Cleaning Tips
Caution!
Improper handling of the speaker may result in damage.
- Always unplug the speaker before cleaning it!
- Before recommissioning, make sure that all connections are correct, that there are no short circuits, and that the speaker is completely dry.
- Never use strong cleaning agents or solvents such as petrol, spirit, or similar!
Enclosure
We recommend commercial window cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This allows almost all fingerprints and dust to be easily removed. Alternatively, you can also use window active foam.
We advise against the use of microfibre cloths! These can cause mini scratches in the surface.
Diaphragms and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a loudspeaker chassis, a lint-free cotton cloth is sufficient to wipe the membrane lightly with very little pressure.

It usually helps to open the manual of the TV and search there for the keywords "HDMI CEC" and "HDMI ARC". Often there are only small settings to be made in the TV menu, such as selecting the external audio system for sound output. We are also happy to help on the phone.

Erwartungen erfüllt
Meine Güte - was da an Klang aus diesem kompakten Gehäuse rauskommt, ist schlicht umwerfend. Schöne Mitten, angenehme Höhen und unfassbar tiefer, weicher Bass. Die Abstimmung ist gut gelungen und trifft genau meinen Geschmack. Die Option einen separaten Subwoofer anschließen zu können ist sehr gut und erweitert die Einsetzbarkeit auch für große Räume.

😄😄😄 ich komme aus dem Grinsen nicht mehr raus. Die 8500 ersetzt mein in die Jahre gekommene AS250 und es ist gigantisch. Ein Sounderlebnis , Wahnsinn. …. 5 Sterne

Das nenne ich Ingenieurskunst
Ich habe mein Set aus XS 8500 und 2x XS 3000 nun seit einer Woche und meine Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Es gibt auch wirklich keine Kleinigkeit daran zu bemängeln und das nubert Set hat mein bisheriges 5.1 System aus AV Receiver und Boxen eines Berliner Unternehmens mehr als nur ersetzt. Die Inbetriebnahme ging wie von selbst von der Hand, die X Room Calibration ist genial und hat die Performance nochmal deutlich verbessert. Optik, Bedienung und natürlich der Sound sind in meinen Augen (und als langjähriger Musiker) Ohren absolute Referenzklasse. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die tolle Stereo Wiedergabe. Obwohl ich meine Lieblingssongs schon rauf und runter gehört habe, zaubert die XS 8500 Details aus dem Hut die ich bislang nicht wahrgenommen habe. Ich denke das sich noch irgendwann ein XW900 dazugesellen wird. Nicht das es nötig wäre - die Bassperformance ist überragend. Aber ich bin auch Technikfreak und Audiotechnik können die bei nubert richtig gut.

Die kann was
Ich darf nun seit 14 Tagen die XS-8500 RC mein Eigen nennen. Einfach genial ! Habe meinen Denon 7.1 Receiver samt Lautsprecher rausgeworfen und durch die XS ersetzt. Kein zusätzlicher Verstärker od. Receiver mehr im Einsatz, wird nicht mehr benötigt. Hängt per HDMI am 65° Sony und lässt sich mit dessen Fernbedienung und der NU App wunderbar bedienen. Weitere Zuspieler per Opto am CD Player und Bluetooth Handys, IPad usw. Dieses Ding ist einfach nur geil, mehr braucht’s im Wohnzimmer nicht, da wackeln die Wände und das bei absolut sehr guten Klangerlebnis. Kauf absolut nicht bereut, hätte ich eher kaufen sollen.

Soundbar of a new generation
The nuPro XS-8500 RC is Nubert's most powerful and high-performance soundbar to date. The nuPro platform has been further developed and improved in the areas of sound, features and technology. Whereas the previous approach was to replace the stereo system on the TV with a soundbar, the aim is now clearly to create a replacement for the bulky surround system, with even higher hi-fi standards in terms of sound and volume. With complementary active speaker models, even flexible and wireless 7.1.4 playback is possible.
Sustainable development
The nuPro XS-8500 RC is the result of years of in-house development with extensive fine-tuning for breathtaking sound and the highest possible performance. We have not only fulfilled our customers' wishes, but also created a soundbar that is future-proof for several years to come, and have therefore combined several evolutionary steps - in a true soundbar revolution.
Subwoofer integrated, speech optimised
If Dolby or DTS are present, the nuPro XS-8500 RC will automatically reproduce a suitable downmix signal. In concrete terms, this means that all channel information is added up and then applied to the corresponding drivers of the soundbar by our DSP. The nuPro XS-8500 RC offers a precise bass response of 32 Hz (-3dB), which is usually expected from high-quality subwoofers. The two 204 mm woofer drivers receive the bass signal from the LFE channel, for authentic explosions with high precision without the need for a separate subwoofer. Since we place particular emphasis on speech reproduction, we use four specially optimised midrange drivers in a symmetrical arrangement with a diameter of 119 mm. This allows for the most linear reproduction with the best speech intelligibility for current series streams and blockbusters in your own four walls. Our special 25 mm driver with high power handling and finest resolution takes care of the clear and detailed reproduction in the high frequency range. The harmonious interaction of the selected individual components and 820 watts of peak power ensure the ultimate performance in the living room in the smallest of spaces and the simplest of applications.
Ultimate TV base
At 120 cm wide, the high-end soundbar is an impressive sight, with a solidly braced cabinet for the best possible sound. The side effect is the enormous stability of the nuPro XS-8500 RC. TV sets weighing up to 100 kg can be placed on it. The elegant lacquer finish rounds off the elegant look. This is matched by the magnetic cover, which is only 10 mm thick and makes the soundbar look less technical. The acoustically transparent fabric allows the sound to remain undistorted and the OLED display to be read at the same time.
High-end sound performance
All Nubert loudspeakers focus on linear and transparent sound to reproduce music and film as the original signal dictates. Our claim is to achieve maximum bass from compact enclosures. The nupro XS-8500 RC stands in exactly this tradition and consistently applies the findings of our previous loudspeaker developments.
With our high-end soundbar, you can replace the entire stereo system as well as the surround system. For this purpose, we have not only integrated many connection options, but also optimised the details. The arrangement of the drivers is based on the D'Appolito arrangement of our centres, so that an even more homogeneous horizontal dispersion is achieved. This way, the stage image becomes wider. The tweeter moves upwards, reducing edge dispersion and bringing the midrange closer together. This improves stereo imaging and spaciousness for an even greater sound experience. All in all, the result is a true hi-fi reproduction for the soundbar format.
Connections
Our nuPro XS-8500 RC offers a variety of connections for a wide range of sources. Certainly the most important and most frequently used is the HDMI eARC connection, which enables the transmission of the sound signal from the TV including the 3D audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Two optical (TOSLINK) or coaxial inputs are available for classic CD players or modern network players. A record player with integrated preamplifier can be connected to the analogue input.
The smartphone connects via Bluetooth aptX HD. For modern Smart TVs, the aptX Low Latency standard is also available with a lower time delay.
The nuPro XS-8500 RC can be easily expanded with additional active speakers thanks to X-Connect Surround wireless. Up to eight surround speakers can be integrated. Nubert subwoofers from the nuSub series can also be connected wirelessly or via the Sub Out output on the soundbar.

We have not only fulfilled this wish in the nuPro XS-8500 RC, but exceeded it. With support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the two major 3D audio formats are integrated. With our nuPro XS speakers, the soundbar enables up to eight wireless channels in the new X-Connect Surround wireless standard. This makes integrating rear speakers a breeze, and puts an end to running annoying passive cables across the room. Later in the year, our active ceiling speakers will be available, making it even easier to add a layer of sound. This means that nothing stands in the way of flexibly expanding the All-in-One system to a true 7.1.4 home cinema.
X-Connect Surround
With DTS and Dolby, High Res in decoding for the individual channels has been standard for years. The challenge during development was to realise this quality with secure and stable radio technology. The result is an update for our stereo standard X-Connect. It becomes surround-capable with 48kHz/24Bit resolution. We call this new version X-Connect Surround and mark all products in our range with the new logo.
Energy
This sound bar is equipped with a convenient automatic energy-saving feature that switches the speaker on independently or puts it into the energy-saving stand-by mode when not in use. In this stand-by mode, which can also be activated manually via the app, remote control or the control pad, the speaker consumes less than 0.5 watts. If desired, the nuPro XS-8500 RC can also be completely disconnected from the mains via a rocker switch. The wide-range power supply allows this active speaker to be used on mains voltages from 110/120 to 230/240 volts.
App and room measurement
As an alternative to the supplied remote control and the control pad on the unit, the free Nubert X-Remote app for iOS and Android can also be used. The use of the app is particularly recommended for complex operating procedures, as it presents advanced functions such as the equaliser or the setting of the cut-off frequency in a particularly clear way. The programme automatically adapts the menu interface to the equipment of the respective connected device. A speaker from the nuPro XS series offers different functions than the nuConnect ampX integrated amplifier, for example.
The app's advanced features include bass equalisation, which enables optimal low-frequency reproduction at the listening position and reliably minimises dreaded room modes. The application is very easy: Start the app, establish the connection with the device and navigate to the entry X-Room Calibration via the main menu in the upper left corner. Now follow the instructions of the app to start the calibration. To do this, simply play and record the test signal (white noise) for one minute; the process is largely automatic. The smartphone or tablet then calculates the best possible tuning curve from the played back test signal and then transmits it to the digital signal processor (DSP) of the playback device, where the calibration is permanently stored. The calibration can be stored in one of the preset locations, so that a comparison between activated optimisation and unchanged playback is possible at any time. The X-Room Calibration function can be used in parallel with the other sound settings.
Attention: For technical reasons, the calibration only works with current iOS devices using on-board tools. Android smartphones and tablets do not provide reliable measurement results due to the large number of microphones used with different parameters. The solution is the optional Nubert XRC Android Interface: a compact plug-in module that connects to the USB input (type C) of the mobile device and gives the X-Remote app access to a precise measurement microphone and a sophisticated analogue-to-digital converter. With this handy USB dongle, the XRC system's measurement tone or room response can be accurately captured, and then the app can calculate the optimal correction curve and transmit it to the signal processor.
