Truly universal
The nuVero 50 can be used in a variety of ways. It can be mounted on walls or ceilings using the stainless steel bracket supplied, with a tilt angle of up to 90 degrees possible. The D'Appolito arrangement of the drivers guarantees a wide dispersion angle. The closed box has been specially designed for horizontal and vertical use and can be used both horizontally and upright. This means that nothing stands in the way of its use in stereo or in a completely homogeneous home cinema.
More language
Due to their special tuning, you can also operate the nuVero horizontally, as a centre for speech reproduction. This makes your surround set, which consists entirely of nuVero 50s, absolutely homogeneous.
More Surround
With 72 Hz lower cut-off frequency when wall-mounted, the nuVero 50 also cuts a fine figure as a rear speaker in surround, especially in combination with one of our nuSub woofer models.
More 3D sound
The pre-mounted stainless steel bracket makes it possible to mount the nuVero 50 on the ceiling. So nothing stands in the way of your ultimate Dolby Atmos system.
More stereo
Mounted vertically on a wall, the nuVero 50 combines elegance and refined sound. Thanks to its flat design, it is hardly noticeable in your living room, but its sound is all the more so.
Details
Tweeter
With the nuVero 50, the tweeter is coupled to the midrange at 1600 Hz. The tweeter of the nuVero series is designed for the widest possible dispersion. In combination with the optimised front plate, the dispersion is even wider. Your advantage: Larger sweet spot and wider stage coverage for a more authentic sound experience.
Low-midrange speaker
The nuVero 50's bass-midrange driver works seamlessly below the tweeter. It allows for detailed voice reproduction and rich low frequencies. Thanks to the optimised closed cabinet and ultra-longstroke technology, the wall speaker achieves a lower cut-off frequency of 72 Hz when wall-mounted.
Crossover
The crossover is the heart of the nuVero 50, with sophisticated components ensuring accurate reproduction and linear sound. The switches on the back directly influence the crossover, allowing seamless switching between sound modes or tuning for wall or free-standing mode. In addition, the crossover incorporates protection circuits to protect the drivers in the event of overload.
Closed construction
The compact and enclosed design allows the speaker to be mounted on a wall or ceiling without affecting the sound. This makes the nuVero 50 a true universal solution for surround systems. You can thus achieve maximum homogeneity with identical speakers.
Colours
Our nuVero series is a real eye-catcher. The cabinet is coated with Nextel® in black or white. This lacquer has a matt and velvety surface that can set accents both visually and haptically. The front is lacquered metallic in the colours ruby red, diamond black and crystal white.
Design
In the nuVero series, the appearance follows the optimal sound reproduction. The curved and wider baffle compared to the cabinet width ensures reduced edge dispersion and a wider dispersion pattern. At the same time, the elegant curves make for a more living-room-friendly design, so the grille has the same radius as the baffle.
Series overview
Our nuVero series is the culmination of over 45 years of speaker development. The models are genuine Made in Germany products that take honest sound to the extreme. The series comprises 7 models, ranging from dipole to wall-mounted and floorstanding speakers. The subwoofers of the nuSub series provide even more bass.

Safety Instructions
- Turn off the amplifier before connecting the speaker cables.
- Ensure the terminal clamps are securely tightened.
- Place the speaker only in a dry location.
- Do not expose the speakers to direct sunlight.
- Overloading: The nuVero 50 features internal, self-resetting fuses for overload protection. However, note that even a weak amplifier can endanger a speaker. Weak amplifiers tend to distort at high volumes, which places extreme stress on the tweeters. If the sound becomes distorted at a certain volume level, reduce the amplifier's volume setting.
- Please note that the threaded inserts on the sides of the speaker enclosure are not designed to withstand tensile forces. Wall mounting of the speaker should only be done using the designated mounting brackets.
Cold Weather and Sound
If speakers are shipped and delivered during the cold season, they must acclimate to room temperature. Low temperatures significantly affect the moving parts of a speaker box, such as the diaphragm/voice coil, surround, and spider. These components' ability to follow rapid vibrations or make large excursions is severely limited. While not dangerous, "deep-frozen" speakers will not perform at their acoustic best.
Tip: If your new speakers arrive on a cold winter day, allow them a few hours to acclimate. Your Nubert speakers will reward you with the exceptional sound quality you expect from us.
Connection Instructions
Ensure that your amplifier/receiver is turned off before connecting the speakers. Refer to the user manual of your amplifier/receiver for specific connection instructions.
Care and Cleaning Tips
Caution!
Improper handling of the speaker can cause damage.
- Turn off your amplifier before cleaning the speaker and disconnect the speaker cables from the terminal if necessary!
- Before powering on, ensure that all connections are correct, no short circuits are present, and the speaker is completely dry!
- Never use harsh cleaning agents or solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, or similar substances!
Cabinet
We recommend using standard glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth to remove fingerprints and dirt effectively. Alternatively, you can use window cleaning foam. Avoid using microfiber cloths, as these may cause small scratches on the surface. For veneered cabinets, we recommend appropriate furniture care products.
Diaphragms and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a speaker chassis, use a lint-free cotton cloth and gently wipe the diaphragm with minimal pressure. All Nubert tweeters are protected by a grille and can also be wiped lightly. If dust cannot be completely removed, a makeup brush from a drugstore may be suitable.
Stands and Traverses
To clean stainless steel surfaces, plant gloss spray has proven to be an excellent choice. Rub or polish it in with a cotton cloth.
Bi-Amping
Caution!
Do not forget to remove the bridges at the connection terminal!
The principle of separate signal supply for bass/midrange and high-frequency areas leads to Bi-Amping (Bi-Amping = Dual Amplification). This relatively complex setup requires a preamplifier connected to two stereo power amplifiers: one for the bass/midrange and the other for the high-frequency range.
Bi-Amping aims to achieve more precise control of the drivers, resulting in improved sound accuracy. The effort and the resulting improvement should be carefully weighed.

Vielen Dank, Nubert-Team!!!

Box type and recommendations for use
The nuVero 50 is a flat, universally usable high-end speaker as a satellite for surround sets or subwoofer satellite systems. It is particularly recommended for wall mounting because, unlike conventional speakers, it does not require a minimum distance from the rear wall in order to develop its sound optimally. A switch on the connection terminal allows the nuVero 50 to be configured both for free-standing installation and for operation close to the wall - the intelligent crossover is optimally tuned for both types of use.
In conjunction with the ATM-50 nuVero module, it develops a bass fullness comparable to a very good "30-litre class" speaker, even without a subwoofer.
Thanks to the supplied stainless steel bracket, the nuVero 50 is ideal as the main speaker next to a modern flat-screen TV or as a surround speaker in a home cinema system. For use as a centre speaker, horizontal mounting or placement directly under the screen is recommended.
With the supplied bracket, the nuVero 50 is also recommended as a ceiling speaker in a Dolby Atmos system with height channels. As with wall mounting, it is important to check in advance whether the surface will safely support the speaker and the bracket.
The speakers of the nuVero series are developed in Schwäbisch Gmünd and manufactured according to our specifications at a traditional specialist company for sound furniture construction in Germany.
Housing and design
The cabinet of the nuVero 50 is made of acoustically advantageous fibreboard (MDF) and has been elaborately damped to avoid disturbing resonances. The elegantly curved sound sail on the front not only enriches the appearance, but at the same time minimises sound-damaging edge dispersion in the midrange and treble. The removable protective grille is securely fastened with spacers using tried-and-tested rubber bushings. Matching colour covers for the bushings are available as accessories on request.
Tweeter
Designed from the ground up, the silk fabric dome extends the speaker's phenomenal resolving power even further, achieving unprecedented transparency and audibility in the upper frequency range. The 26-millimetre tweeter ensures outstanding omnidirectional response.
Low-midrange speaker
The two bass-midrange drivers use glass-fibre cones in a sandwich construction, which guarantees the perfect transition to powerful subwoofers due to their extremely wide excursion and the strong magnet systems. The two 150-millimetre drivers have die-cast aluminium baskets and generously ventilated voice coils, which ensure the high power handling.
Crossover
The crossover network optimally controls the drivers used. The filter network relies on high-quality components, including film capacitors with tight tolerances and long-term stability. A sophisticated protection circuit cuts the amplifier current to the chassis and crossover in the event of an impending overload and then automatically resets itself to normal operation.
Sound options
This loudspeaker is equipped with sound selector switches that allow the dispersion pattern to be adjusted to the surroundings or personal listening tastes with a simple flick of the wrist. This allows the nuVero 50 to be optimised for both near-wall and free-standing installation.
Connection terminal
The extremely solid, gold-plated screw terminals of the bi-wiring terminal are also suitable for cables with a very large cross-section. Bi-wiring terminals allow the tweeter and low/midrange to be connected separately to the amplifier. A measure that can prevent sound losses with long cable lengths.
