The nuXinema preAV delivers powerful surround enjoyment - easily and without annoying cables. During development, we focused on the essentials: powerful sound, without bells and whistles. Our new AV preamp supports all common standards from Dolby Atmos to DTS:X and even works wirelessly if desired. It adapts to the existing speaker setup and automatically performs upmixing or virtualization; high-end music playback with premium sound control is also on board. This makes the nuXinema preAV a powerful complete package with intuitive operation in an equally stylish and compact housing.
Connecting nuPro XS speakers wirelessly
With the nuXinema preAV, you can control our active speakers of the nuPro XS series wirelessly, for example, to create a particularly elegant system. Up to 9 modern sources can be transmitted wirelessly from the preAV to the speakers as a control centre.
Wireless surround sound
Easily connect subwoofers, surround and ceiling speakers wirelessly with up to 8 wireless channels. Even a full 3D audio configuration with 7.1.4 channels is possible - completely without hours of cable laying and setup. The nuXinema preAV transmits in the Hi-Res Nubert wireless standard X-Connect Surround.

The third sound dimension
The nuXinema preAV decodes modern, object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for immersive sound experiences. The sound doesn't just take place sideways around the listener, but envelops them three-dimensionally. If desired, this is even possible with non-surround content via upmixer.

Despite its compact format, the nuXinema preAV delivers premium sound quality and signal purity. And always with a stable connection - whether with wireless Hi-Res via X-Connect Surround or via the powerful analogue outputs.
Control
The intuitive operating concept gives users the choice and allows control via the Nubert X-Remote app, the tidy remote control, clear on-screen menus (OSD) or directly on the unit via OLED display.
X-Room Calibration
In a set with nuPro XS active loudspeakers, each loudspeaker can be calibrated for the room itself, thus providing optimum sound at the listening position. If classic active speakers or passive speakers are connected to the front channels via a power amplifier, the nuXinema preAV takes over the calibration of these channels.
Connections
9 modern inputs provide space for all common source devices (including TV connection) and enable seamless integration of the nuXinema preAV into modern home cinema setups. A powerful control centre, the nuXinema preAV offers 8 digital channels via wireless X-Connect Surround and 8 more channels via premium analogue RCA outputs.
HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2
Compatibility with the HDMI 2.0 standard and HDCP 2.2 guarantees superior picture quality and versatile compatibility with modern players and TVs. Picture playback with 4K and 60 Hz, 3D video and audio transmission as well as HDR support.
Colours and design
With a height of 6.7 cm and a width of 23.4 cm, the nuXinema preAV is discreet and shines with its inner values. The clear OLED display and the large rotary control set visual accents and enable intuitive operation. The nuXinema preAV is available in classic black with silver accents or in white with black controls.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, the device must not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Service and repairs should only be performed by authorized and qualified specialists from Nubert. For service, contact Nubert electronic GmbH!
Risk of Suffocation!
Never let children use the device or remote control, or play with the packaging unattended! There is a risk of children becoming entangled in the packaging film and suffocating. Ensure that children cannot detach small parts from the device or the remote control! These parts, including the remote control battery, could be swallowed and lead to choking. If any parts are swallowed, contact a doctor immediately!

Handle the device with care when moving it to avoid injuries and damage!

Since the device can only be completely disconnected from the mains by unplugging the power cord at the rear or the wall socket, it must be placed so that you have free access to the power input or plug. - The power cable or plug is damaged.

Placement Instructions
Caution!
An unstable placement location can lead to damage to the device.
- Place the device on a flat, stable surface and ensure it cannot be knocked over!
- Ensure that no unintended tension is applied to the cables to avoid pulling down the device or damaging the connection ports!
- Keep strong mechanical shocks away from the device!
Caution!
Excessive heat buildup inside the device can shorten its lifespan or lead to a fire.
- Never cover the rear of the device! Ensure at least 10 cm of free space and adequate air circulation around the rear side!
- Do not operate the device or the remote control near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
- Do not expose the device or the remote control to direct sunlight!
- Never place burning candles or similar open flames on the device!

Installing the device or remote control in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the device or remote control:
- In environments prone to fire or explosions!

- In areas with heavy dust!

The device contains mains voltage internally and voltages exceeding 35V AC or DC in certain areas. It has no special protection against the intrusion of liquids or objects. There is a risk of fatal electric shock.
- Never touch the device with wet hands!
- Use the device only in a dry location!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
- Protect the device from all types of liquids, including dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., flower vases) on or near the device!
- If the device is brought from a cold environment into a warm room, condensation may form inside. Wait at least 6 hours until it reaches room temperature and is dry before turning it on!
- Do not use the device during rapid temperature changes!

General Connection Instructions
- Unplug the power cord before making any changes to the system wiring!
- Ensure all connections are properly made and all plugs are securely seated before connecting the device to the power supply!
- Only use the designated cables and connectors for connections! Otherwise, damage or malfunctions may occur.
- If you need to disconnect connections on the device, always pull on the plug, never the cable!
- Ensure that all plugs are securely seated in their sockets!
- Only use cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!
Risk of Electric Shock!
Faulty power supply systems or excessive mains voltage can result in electric shocks.
- All power supply or antenna systems connected to the device must comply with applicable legal regulations and be professionally installed by a licensed installation company.
- Only use the supplied power cable to connect the device. The power cable and its plug must not be modified under any circumstances.
- Ensure that the mains voltage at your location matches the device's requirements! The correct power supply information can be found on the label on the back of the device. It must not be connected to other power supplies.
- Devices of protection class 1 must be connected to the protective earth of the electrical installation, which must be at ground potential. Ensure that the protective earth installation at the connection location is correctly implemented!
- When laying power cables, ensure they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heat or mechanical stress). Pay particular attention to areas around plugs and distributors!
Caution!
Power surges in the electrical grid (e.g., due to lightning strikes) can damage or destroy the device and power supply unit.
- A surge protector can provide some safety against excessive voltage in the power grid.
- For maximum safety, fully disconnect your devices from the power grid and antenna systems during thunderstorms or the risk of lightning strikes. Unplug the power cord from the outlet and any antenna connectors from your HiFi system!
- If the device is not used for an extended period or is left unattended, disconnect the power supply. Unplug the power cord from the outlet!
Remote Control and Battery
The product includes a remote control and a battery. Please note the following when handling remote controls and batteries:
- If the batteries are discharged, the range of the remote control will decrease significantly. Replace the batteries immediately in such cases.
- Always use high-quality lithium button cells of type CR2025 as replacement batteries.
- When inserting the battery into the compartment, ensure the correct polarity by aligning the + and − signs in the compartment!
Caution!
Improper handling may result in damage.
- Do not drop the remote control!
- Do not expose the remote control or the battery to water or other liquids!
- Do not operate or store the remote control and battery in locations with high humidity or extreme temperatures!
Danger!
Leaking or exploding batteries can pose a health risk and cause damage.
- If the device is not used for an extended period or the batteries are depleted, remove the batteries from the remote control to prevent discharge, acid leakage, or explosions.
- Replace leaking batteries immediately.
- If you find a leaking battery, do not touch the leaked material and dispose of the batteries immediately!
- Do not touch leaking batteries!
- If the leaked material comes into contact with your skin, eyes, or mouth, immediately rinse the affected area with water and consult a doctor!
Risk of Internal Chemical Burns!
Swallowing batteries can cause severe internal burns within a short time and may lead to death.
- Ensure that batteries do not enter the body in any way, especially not by swallowing!
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If you suspect that a battery has been swallowed or inserted into the body, immediately consult a doctor!
Care and Cleaning Tips
Caution!
Improper handling of the device may result in damage.
- Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the device!
- Clean the device regularly with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For stubborn stains, mild soapy water may be used.
- Never use harsh cleaning agents or solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, or similar substances!
- Before resuming operation, ensure all connections are correct, no short circuits exist, and the device is completely dry.

Dolby-Atmos-Musik in Perfektion mit dem nuXinema preAV
Auf der Suche nach einem Dolby-Atmos- und DTS:X-fähigen AV-Vorverstärker für die ausschließliche Wiedergabe von Musik über ein kabelgebundenes Endverstärker/Passivlautsprecher-System unter Einbindung von 2 Nubert ATM Stand für die Front- und Rearlautsprecher (ich verwende insoweit vier identische Standlautsprecher im "Full Range"-Betrieb) fiel meine Wahl auf den nuXinema preAV und bereits nach zwei Tagen Nutzung stand fest, dass diese Wahl goldrichtig war. Der nuXinema preAV besticht zunächst einmal durch eine wunderschöne und aufgeräumte Optik (ich habe das schwarze Modell mit silbernen Akzenten), eine sehr wertige Verarbeitung und eine hohe Anfassqualität. Die Ausstattung und der Klang lassen im Rahmen meiner konkreten Anwendung keine Wünsche offen. Man sollte genügend Zeit in die Lektüre der Bedienungsanleitung investieren und ein wenig herumexperimentieren, um sich mit der Funktionsweise von Gerät und Fernbedienung vertraut zu machen. Vieles ist selbstführend, selbst wenn man im AV-Bereich über keine oder nur wenig Erfahrung verfügt. Die "Sound-Mode"-Einstellungen (Stereo, Movie, Music usw.) führen nur dann zu - unnötigem - Frust, wenn man deren Wirkungsweise nicht genau ergründet und sich vorab nicht überlegt, welches Ergebnis man anstrebt. Will man z. B. einen nativen 5.1-Mix in DTS HD Master Audio ohne Upmixing mit dem Nubert-eigenen Algorithmus auf die Atmos-Height-Speaker anhören, so aktiviert man den Sound-Modus "Music" und schaltet die Height-Speaker im Lautsprecher-Setup alle auf "none". So einfach geht das, denn ein Up- oder Downmixing findet nur dann statt, wenn mehr oder weniger Lautsprecher verwendet werden als im originalen Mix vorgesehen. Also bitte immer erst überlegen und ggf. die Nubert-Crew kontaktieren, statt sofort in Schnappatmung zu geraten. :-) Kurzum: Ich bin vom nuXinema preAV rundum begeistert und die Leute, die das Ding entwickelt haben, machten sich erkennbar viele Gedanken darüber, wie man die Handhabung einer komplexen Technologie möglichst einfach gestalten kann. Der kleine Zauberkasten von Nubert ist in diesem Sinne auf dem Weltmarkt (!!!) absolut konkurrenzlos. Chapeau!

Zwerg mit viel Potential
Der NuXinema läuft hier seit Anfang Dezember 22 im (fast) Dauerbetrieb und macht uns viel Freude! Nach der Umstellung unseres Hör-Setup's auf ausschließlich voll-aktive Systeme war der Harman-Kardon AVR760 obsolet und wurde durch den NuXinema ersetzt. Die integrierte Einmessfunktion ermöglichte den Weiterbetrieb der A700 als Front-Stereo LSP,die die X-Room Calibration ja noch nicht haben. Die Weitergabe des Sound's per X-Connect Funksystem an die Sourroundsysteme (XS3000 RC) funktioniert bestens! Ein Wehrmutstropfen ist allerdings die doch etwas "nervöse" Verarbeitung der Soundformatsignale. Beim schauen mancher TV Kanäle wird man, so bald Werbung gestartet wird, aus dem Sessel gehoben! Scheinbar wird diese in einem anderen Soundformat ausgestrahlt als der Film und auch deutlich lauter, und der NuXinema gibt dies 1:1 weiter! Das ist im engeren Sinne kein Fehler des NuXinema, jedoch können andere AV Receiver damit besser umgehen und erschrecken nicht so das Publikum ;-) Auch die lediglich 3 Preset's zur fixen Voreinstellung von Anwendungsfällen sind zu wenig! Bei uns gibt es neben TV-Betrieb noch Bluray, Schallplatte, Streamer und CD Spieler, für jede dieser Anwendungen hätte ich gern ein Preset! Beim HK 760 waren es rund 12 frei programmierbare Vireinstellungen. Und der war 12 Jahre alt.... Dennoch hat der kleine das Potential ein ganz ganz "Großer" zu werden! -> ein Softwareupdate zum beheben der kleinen Schwächen vorausgesetzt! Und er erhält deshalb dennoch die volle Kaufempfehlung!
