Design and Housing
Elegance and sophistication define the design language of the Nubert nuZeo 3's housing. The aesthetics are completed with a choice of white or black multi-layered piano lacquer finishes. The housing’s gracefully rounded shapes provide a distinctive contrast to the aluminum rings, which are used for chassis mounting and sound guidance. The prominently visible structure of the carbon fiber membranes finalizes the overall look. Inside the housing, everything is dedicated to pure sound: resonance-optimized bracing and strategically placed damping ensure uncompromised acoustic performance.
Woofer
The carbon mid-woofer of the nuZeo 3, with its dual-layer design and polymer coating, represents the pinnacle of modern high-tech chassis construction. Its concave shape, free of a dust cap, not only enhances aesthetics but also maximizes acoustic performance. To ensure music is enjoyed with the utmost transparency, even at high dynamic peaks, we utilize a generously sized balanced-force magnet system and a flow-optimized basket design.
Tweeter
The continuous evolution of silk dome tweeters, built on five decades of Nubert expertise, reaches new heights with the nuZeo series. The tweeter in the nuZeo speakers sets benchmarks in resolution, offers maximum bandwidth, and captivates with stunning dynamics. To achieve these goals perfectly, we use Tetoron artificial silk as the diaphragm material. A rear chamber damped with cotton fibers ensures a clean frequency response, particularly in the sensitive lower treble range, crucial for the human ear. A defined sound guide and an acoustically optimized protective grille further enhance the modern front design.
Integrated Amplifier Module
In addition to sophisticated housing and chassis technology, an exceptionally powerful, DSP-controlled, highly efficient amplifier module is another cornerstone of the nuZeo product philosophy. Delivering maximum power under virtually all conditions while maintaining complete control for ultimate sound quality defines our approach. Connection options and X-Connect
For comprehensive connectivity, nuZeo loudspeakers have both analog and digital inputs via RCA or XLR. nuZeo active loudspeakers are also able to receive sound signals in the high-resolution X-Connect wireless standard and transmit them to each other. Compatibility with X-Connect Surround is also part of the equipment to enable suitable integration into wireless home theater systems. X-Remote App und X-Room Calibration
The Nubert X-Remote app on your smartphone offers full control over our nuZeo speakers at all times and enables flexible configuration and access to the entire range of functions. For clear & rich bass reproduction at the listening position, the X-Remote app can be used to perform automatic X-Room Calibration (room calibration in the frequency range from 20 to 160 Hz). We offer an optional external measuring microphone for Android devices. The built-in microphone can be used with iOS devices.
Construction
The nuZeo 3 is designed as a 2-way speaker, with the crossover between the woofer and tweeter set at a particularly low frequency to achieve optimal dispersion characteristics. The woofers are further supported by a generously sized, aerodynamically optimized, double-rounded bass reflex port located on the rear of the cabinet. This design enables unrestricted dynamics down to the lower limits of audibility.
Tuning
Sound-damaging interference effects between the frequency ranges are effectively minimized through low-frequency, steep-slope filtering of the crossover points. Phase-accurate Linkwitz-Riley filters, combined with the low crossover frequency between the midrange and tweeter, significantly broaden the dispersion characteristics—both vertically and horizontally. As a result, the optimal listening position is not confined to a single point in the room (sweet spot) but extends across a wide listening area.
Cross Feet
The nuZeo 3 active speaker comes with high-quality cross feet made of powder-coated die-cast aluminum. Thanks to the four generously sized knurled screws with locking nuts, uneven surfaces can be quickly leveled with a simple adjustment from above. Additionally, the spikes on the cross feet can be covered with four disc plates to protect delicate surfaces. For those seeking an alternative, matching stands are also available in our range.
Series overview
Our nuZeo series consists of four models and is our uncompromisingly designed active loudspeaker top series. The nuZeo 4, 11 and 15 models are ideal for creating reference-quality stereo and multi-channel systems. With the nuZeo 6c universal loudspeaker, surround systems of the highest sound quality can also be set up. Matching stands and wall brackets complete the portfolio.

Intended Use
This speaker is intended exclusively for audio playback in dry indoor environments. Use the speaker only as described in this manual. Any other use (especially for safety-critical or medical applications, outdoor installation unless explicitly IP-certified) is considered improper and may result in property damage or personal injury. Nubert electronic GmbH accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.
General Notes
Never operate the speaker unattended!
Risk of Electric Shock!
To prevent the risk of electric shock, the speaker should not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Service and repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel authorized by Nubert. For service inquiries, contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de.
Risk of Suffocation!
Never allow children to use the speaker or remote control unattended, or play with the packaging! Children may become entangled in packaging film, posing a suffocation hazard. Ensure children cannot detach small parts from the devices, as these (including the remote control battery) may be swallowed and cause choking. If any parts are swallowed, seek medical attention immediately!
Risk of Injury or Damage!
Move the speaker with care to avoid injury or damage.
Caution!
The speaker can only be completely disconnected from the power supply via the power inlet on the back of the device or by unplugging the power cord. Ensure the speaker is positioned so that the power inlet or plug is easily accessible. If any of the following situations occur, immediately turn off the speaker and disconnect it from the power supply. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de:
- The speaker has been damaged or has fallen.
- The power cord or plug is damaged.
- Objects or liquids have entered the speaker.
- The speaker has been exposed to excessive moisture or rain.
- The speaker is not functioning properly or shows significant performance degradation.
- The speaker emits a burning smell, produces smoke, or makes unusual noises.

Placement Instructions
Caution!
An unstable placement can damage the speaker.
- Place the speaker only on a flat, stable surface, and ensure it cannot be knocked over.
- Prevent unintended tension on cables to avoid tipping the speaker or damaging the connection sockets.
- Avoid exposing the speaker to strong mechanical vibrations.
Caution!
Excessive heat buildup inside the device can shorten its lifespan or cause a fire.
- Never cover the back of the speaker! Ensure at least 10 cm of free space and adequate air circulation at the rear of the device.
- Do not operate the speaker near heat sources such as radiators or stoves.
- Avoid exposing the speaker to direct sunlight.
- Never place burning candles or similar open flames on the speaker.
Risk of Explosion!
Placing the speaker in unsuitable locations can cause explosions. Do not use the speaker:
- in fire or explosion-prone environments!
- at extremely low or high temperatures!
- near flammable gases or vapors!
- in areas with heavy dust!
- near easily flammable materials!
Risk of Electric Shock!
The speaker operates with mains voltage internally, and some areas exceed 35 V AC or DC. It has no special protection against liquids or foreign objects entering the system, posing a risk of fatal electric shock:
- Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
- Use the speaker only in a dry environment!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp rooms!
- Protect the speaker from all types of liquids, including dripping or splashing water.
- Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., vases) on or near the speaker!
- If the speaker is brought from a cold environment into a warm room, condensation may form inside. Wait at least 6 hours before switching it on, allowing it to reach room temperature and dry completely!
- Avoid using the speaker during rapid temperature changes!
- Ensure no objects or foreign materials enter the device.
- If the speaker comes into contact with liquids or if foreign objects enter the interior, immediately unplug it and contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de!
Risk of Injury or Damage!
Applies to speakers with threaded sockets on the bottom of the housing: The threaded sockets on the bottom are only intended for mounting the supplied speaker feet! They are not designed for tensile loads and must not be used to attach hooks or similar items for hanging the speaker. A falling speaker can cause serious injuries and damage.
Connection Guidelines
General Connection Notes
Disconnect the power plug before making any changes to the system's wiring!
- Ensure all connections are made correctly and all plugs are firmly seated in the sockets before connecting the speaker to the power supply!
- Use only the designated cables or connectors for connections! Otherwise, damage or malfunctions may occur.
- When disconnecting cables from the speaker, always pull the plug, not the cable!
- Ensure all plugs fit securely into their sockets!
- Use only cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!
Risk of Electric Shock!
Faulty power supply systems or excessive voltage can result in electric shocks.
- All power supply or antenna systems connected to the speaker must comply with applicable legal regulations and be professionally installed by a certified technician.
- Only use the provided power cable to connect the speaker. Do not modify the power cable or its plug under any circumstances.
- Ensure the power voltage at your location matches the speaker's requirements! The correct power specification can be found on the label on the back of the speaker. Do not connect it to any other power source.
- Devices with Class 1 protection must be connected to the protective ground of the electrical installation. Ensure the protective ground connection at the installation site is correctly implemented!
- When routing power cables, ensure they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heat or mechanical stress). Pay particular attention to the areas around plugs and distributors.
Caution!
Power surges in the electrical grid (e.g., due to lightning strikes) can damage or destroy the device and its power supply.
- A surge protection device can provide some protection against excessive voltage.
- The highest level of safety can only be achieved by completely disconnecting your devices from the power grid and antenna systems. During thunderstorms or when there is a risk of lightning, unplug the power cable and disconnect any antenna cables from your HiFi system!
- If the speaker will not be used for an extended period or is left unattended, disconnect it from the power supply by unplugging the power cord!
Care and Cleaning Tips
Caution!
Improper handling of the speaker can cause damage.
- Always unplug the speaker before cleaning!
- Before powering the speaker back on, ensure all connections are secure, there are no short circuits, and the speaker is completely dry.
- Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents like gasoline, alcohol, or similar substances!
Housing
We recommend using commercial glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This can easily remove most fingerprints and dirt. Alternatively, you can use window foam cleaner. Avoid using microfiber cloths, as they may cause micro-scratches on the surface.
Membranes and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a speaker chassis, use a lint-free cotton cloth and gently wipe the membrane with very light pressure.
