Powerful bass master without compromise
The nuZeo 8w has been developed for uncompromising bass reproduction with its 381 mm (15 inch) diameter carbon fiber woofer. Many of our customers have been asking for a "front-firing" subwoofer for a long time. Our engineers can now fulfill this long-cherished wish: The nuZeo 8w shows what is possible today in terms of bass depth and precision. But it's not just acoustically that the 8w stands like a rock: thanks to its mass of 70 kg and adjustable, stable truss feet, it can be set up securely on any surface.
Timeless in design, striking in sound: the nuZeo 8w is the ideal subwoofer for particularly excellent bass - as you would expect in the reference class: 18 Hz at -6 dB and an extraordinary level stability speak for themselves. Its maximum music output of 3200 watts is already designed for the future and leaves nothing to be desired. The nuZeo 8w impresses and inevitably entices you to groove along.
2.1 system
Our subwoofer is ideal for setting up a 2.1 system in combination with the nuControl X. The speakers and subwoofer are synchronized here to play from a single source.

Wireless connection
A subwoofer that develops so much depth benefits immensely from optimal positioning in the room. With its wireless connection via X-Connect Surround, the 8w offers maximum flexibility in terms of placement.

With the nuZeo 8w, music and movie lovers immediately feel right in the middle of the action. The 15" front-firing driver offers plenty of power reserves in combination with a music output of up to 3200 watts. This rounds off our nuZeo series perfectly for home cinema requirements.
Details
Wireless connection
The woofers and midrange drivers in the nuZeo series catch the eye with their carbon cones. The concave shape without dust protection dome ensures a particularly tidy appearance without compromising on acoustics. The double-layer carbon cones with a special polymer coating offer an ideal mix of rigidity and low resonance for great acoustic experiences. A powerful balanced force magnet system and a particularly flow-optimized basket design are also used to enjoy music without noise and with outstanding dynamics.
High-performance driver
The 15-inch driver was completely redeveloped according to our requirements: High efficiency, high maximum excursion, low resonance frequency and precisely matched to the parameters of the bass reflex enclosure. Your benefit: a subwoofer that combines depth and precision and ideally converts the amplifier power provided into acoustic performance.
Great variety of connections
The user has a wide range of connection options at the rear. For example, the player can be connected via the LINE connection. This can also be done via XLR. The XLR output is used for looping through additional subwoofers.
The bass reflex tube on the rear further enhances the acoustic impression. This ensures that the sound is diffused in the room with as little vibration as possible.
Wireless connection via X-Connect Surround
Freedom for the woofer. The nuZeo 8w can receive our X-Connect Surround wireless protocol and can therefore be connected directly to many Nubert devices wirelessly. The wireless technology can also be retrofitted to other systems using nuConnect trxS. Your advantage: stable connection and free positioning of the subwoofer.
X-Remote
Our subwoofers do not have an enclosed remote control because any smartphone can do this. Our Nubert X-Remote app works with the energy-saving Bluetooth LE standard and provides access to all subwoofer functions, including calibration (see below). Your advantage: full control at all times and no more aiming necessary.
The active nuZeo 8w can be configured and controlled conveniently and easily using our Nubert X-Remote app. The app also offers a calibration function. The Nubert X-Remote app is available for free download for both iOS and Android devices in the respective app stores.
X-Room Calibration
The smartphone is also the heart of our X-Room Calibration measurement function, which automatically corrects the bass by ± 6dB with fully parametric equalizers in the range from 20 to 160 Hz. iOS devices serve directly as a microphone for the algorithm, while Android devices require an additional microphone due to different hardware equipment, which can be ordered from our store. Your benefit: better bass reproduction for your listening position.
Colors
Our nuZeo models are finished with a multi-layer piano lacquer. The choice is yours: White for a subtle look in the living room or timeless black as a statement for the home theater?
Design
Matching our nuZeo series, the nuZeo 8w subwoofer blends seamlessly into your ensemble. This is ensured by the timeless look with gently curved lines. The style-defining element is the 381 mm driver at the front.

Before connecting and operating the device, the operating manual – especially its safety instructions – must be read in full. For your own safety, be sure to follow all warning and safety notices in this manual and on the speaker. Apart from the described handling steps, no other work should be carried out on the speaker by the user. Keep this document in a place where you can access it at any time. It must also be passed on to any subsequent owners.
Intended Use
This speaker is intended solely for audio playback in dry indoor environments. Use the speaker only as described in this manual. Any other use (especially safety-related or medical applications, or outdoor installation like with specially IP-certified products) is considered improper and may lead to damage to property or even personal injury. Nubert electronic GmbH assumes no liability for damages resulting from improper use.
General Information
Never operate the speaker unattended!
Risk of electric shock!
To avoid the risk of electric shock, the speaker must not be opened by the user. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the speaker. Servicing and repairs must be carried out only by qualified professionals authorized by Nubert. In case of service needs, please contact Nubert electronic GmbH directly at info@nubert.de!
Risk of suffocation!
Never allow children to use the speaker or remote control unattended or play with the packaging! There is a risk of children getting entangled in the packaging film and suffocating. Ensure that children cannot remove small parts from the devices! These parts, as well as the battery of the remote control, could be swallowed and cause choking. If any parts are swallowed, contact a doctor immediately!
Risk of injury or damage!
When moving the speaker, do so with appropriate caution to avoid injuries and damage!
Warning!
As the speaker can only be fully disconnected from the power supply at the mains input on the rear of the unit or by unplugging the power cord, it must be placed so that you have free access to the mains input or power plug. If any of the following situations occur, the speaker must be turned off immediately and disconnected from the power supply. Contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de immediately!
- The speaker has been damaged or has fallen.
- The power cable or power plug is damaged.
- Objects or liquids have entered the speaker.
- The speaker has been/is exposed to excessive humidity or rain.
- The speaker does not function properly or shows a significant decrease in performance.
- The speaker smells burnt, emits smoke, or makes unusual noises.
Use only accessories recommended by Nubert!
Placement Instructions
Warning!
An unstable placement surface can lead to damage to the speaker.
- Place the speaker only on a flat, stable surface and ensure it cannot be tipped over!
- Also ensure that no unintended pulling on the cables can occur to avoid tipping the speaker over or damaging the connection sockets!
- Keep the speaker away from strong mechanical shocks!
Warning!
Excessive heat buildup inside the device can shorten its lifespan or lead to fire.
- Never cover the back of the speaker! Ensure at least 10 cm of free space and sufficient air circulation around the rear side!
- Do not operate the speaker near heat sources such as radiators or stoves!
- Do not expose the speaker to direct sunlight!
- Never place burning candles or similar open flame sources on the speaker!
Risk of explosion!
Placing the speaker in unsuitable locations may cause explosions. Do not use the speaker:
- in environments with fire or explosion hazards!
- in extremely low or extremely high temperatures!
- near flammable gases or vapors!
- in areas with heavy dust!
- near highly flammable materials!
Risk of electric shock!
The speaker carries mains voltage internally and has areas with voltages exceeding 35 V AC or DC. It has no special protection against the intrusion of liquids or objects into the system. There is a risk of fatal electric shock.
- Never touch the speaker with wet hands!
- Use the speaker only in dry environments!
- Do not operate it outdoors or in damp areas!
- The speaker must be protected from all kinds of liquids, including dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place containers with liquids (e.g., flower vases) on or near the speaker!
- If the speaker is brought from a cold environment into a warm room, condensation may form inside. Wait at least 6 hours before switching it on, until it has reached room temperature and is dry!
- Do not use the speaker during rapid temperature changes!
- No objects or foreign bodies may enter the device.
- If the speaker has come into contact with liquids or if objects have entered the interior, unplug it immediately and contact Nubert electronic GmbH at info@nubert.de!
Risk of injury or damage!
Applies to speakers with threaded sockets on the bottom of the housing: The threaded sockets on the underside are only to be used for attaching the supplied speaker feet! They are not designed to bear tension and must not be used to attach hooks or similar for hanging the speaker. A falling speaker can cause serious injuries and damage.

General Connection Instructions
- Unplug the power cord before making any changes to the system wiring!
- Ensure all connections are correctly made and all plugs are firmly seated before connecting the speaker to the mains!
- Only use the designated cables or connectors for connections! Otherwise, damage or malfunction may occur.
- When disconnecting cables from the speaker, always pull on the plug, never on the cable!
- Ensure all plugs are securely seated in their sockets!
- Use only cables and accessories recommended by Nubert!
Risk of electric shock!
Faulty power supply systems or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shocks.
- All power supply or antenna systems connected to the speaker must comply with applicable legal regulations and be professionally installed by a licensed contractor.
- Only use the supplied power cord to connect the speaker. The power cord and its plug must not be modified under any circumstances.
- Ensure that the mains voltage at your location matches the requirements of the speaker! The correct power supply is indicated on the label on the back of the speaker. Do not connect it to any other power sources.
- Class 1 devices must be connected to the protective ground conductor of the electrical installation, which must be at earth potential. Ensure that the grounding installation at the location is properly executed!
- When laying the power cords, ensure they cannot be damaged (e.g., by heat or mechanical stress)! Pay particular attention to the areas near plugs and sockets!
Warning!
Power surges in the electrical network (e.g., due to lightning strikes) can damage or destroy the device and its power supply.
- A surge protector can provide some protection against excessive voltages in the power grid.
- The greatest protection can only be achieved by completely disconnecting your devices from the power supply and antenna systems. Therefore, during thunderstorms or risk of lightning strikes, unplug the power cord and any antenna connectors from your hi-fi system!
- If the speaker is not used for an extended period or is left unattended, the power supply should be disconnected. Unplug the power cord from the socket!
Care and Cleaning Tips
Warning!
Improper handling of the speaker can lead to damage.
- Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the speaker!
- Before switching the speaker back on, ensure all connections are correct, no short circuits are present, and the speaker is completely dry.
- Never use harsh cleaning or solvent agents such as gasoline, alcohol, or similar!
Enclosure
We recommend using standard glass cleaner sprayed onto a cotton cloth. This will easily remove most fingerprints and dirt. Alternatively, you can use active foam for windows. We advise against the use of microfiber cloths! These can cause micro-scratches on the surface.
Membranes and Speaker Chassis
To remove dust from a speaker chassis, a lint-free cotton cloth is sufficient. Gently wipe the membrane with very light pressure.
