Analog & Digital Outputs
The development of the analog, digital, and control sections has led to direct improvements in both the analog and digital outputs, making the Apollo a perfect partner for the Rega Brio amplifier and an ideal "CD format" front-end for the Rega DAC.
Compact Chassis Design
The Apollo is housed in our latest custom half-width chassis to match the Brio amplifier. The top-loading mechanism provides easy handling and unparalleled reliability.
Digital-to-Analog Conversion
The Apollo’s output amplifier uses the highly specified Wolfson WM8742 digital-to-analog converter, the same integrated circuit found in the award-winning Rega DACs.
Power Supply
The Apollo utilizes "digital" power supplies that feed the CD processor, optical block, and laser diode amplifier. This is achieved by using the same high-performance, low-noise power supplies found in the Rega Reference CD player. This significantly enhances playback, error correction, and the core processing of the Apollo’s digital CD spinner.
Output Amplifier
The discrete output amplifier has a THD of 0.0025%, while simultaneously improving the overall sound quality of the output stage.
User Interface
The user interface is controlled by a dedicated display microprocessor, offloading tasks from the main control processors. This results in improved control code stability, enhanced usability, and faster disc initialization.
Dedicated CD Mini-System Remote Control
A new dedicated CD remote control is included as standard, featuring additional Rega amplifier functionality.
