  • This symbol indicates that important operating and maintenance instructions are included with this device.
  • Class II Product: This symbol indicates that the device does not require a grounded electrical connection (earth). If this symbol is absent on a product with a power cord, the product MUST have a reliable connection to ground (earth).
  • AC Voltage: A voltage rating marked with this symbol indicates alternating current voltage.
  • DC Voltage: A voltage rating marked with this symbol indicates direct current voltage.
  • Caution! Refer to the user manual: This symbol directs the user to consult the basic user manual for additional safety information.

Power Supply

  • Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or power adapters beyond their maximum voltage and capacity. This can cause fire or electric shock. Refer to the technical specifications section of the manual or the power adapter label for voltage and current information.
  • Power cords must be positioned so that they are not stepped on or pinched by objects resting on or against them. Pay special attention to plugs, power adapters, and the point where the cable exits the device.
  • Never insert metal objects into the openings of the device. This can cause electric shock.
  • To avoid electric shocks, never touch internal components of the device. Only qualified technicians should open the device.
  • Ensure the power plug is firmly inserted into the outlet. Never pull the power cord itself to unplug it; always pull by the plug. Never touch the power cord with wet hands.
  • If the device is not functioning properly, particularly if you hear unusual noises or detect odors from inside, immediately disconnect it from the power supply and contact your nearest dealer or Samsung service center.
  • For safety, disconnect the device from the power source and antenna or cable system during a thunderstorm or if left unattended for long periods.
  • Dust accumulation can cause electric shocks, short circuits, or fires due to sparks, overheating, and insulation damage to the power cord.
  • Use only properly grounded plugs and outlets. Improper grounding can result in electric shocks or damage to the device. (For Class I devices only.)
  • To completely turn off this device, you must unplug the power cord from the outlet. To ensure quick disconnection from the power source when needed, the outlet and plug must always be easily accessible.

Installation

  • Do not place the device near or above a heater, radiator, or in locations exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Do not place liquid-filled containers (e.g., vases) on the device, as this can cause fire or electric shock.
  • Never expose the device to rain or moisture.
  • Contact an authorized service center for further information if the device is placed in locations with high concentrations of dust particles, extremely high or low temperatures, high humidity, or near chemicals, such as at a station or airport in continuous operation. Improper installation can cause severe damage to the device.

If the TV is to be mounted on a wall, the manufacturer's instructions must be strictly followed. Improper installation can cause the device to fall, become damaged, or cause injuries.

  • Contact the Samsung service center to order the Samsung wall mount.
  • Samsung is not liable for damage to devices or injuries to individuals if the wall mount installation is carried out by the customer.
  • Samsung is not liable for device damage or injuries if a wall mount that does not comply with the VESA standard is used or if the installation instructions are not followed.
  • Mount the wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. For other wall types, such as drywall, please contact your nearest retailer.
  • Do not mount the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, as it may fall and cause injuries.
  • Recommendation: Tighten all four VESA screws.
  • For wall mounts with only two screws, use only Samsung-recommended models.
  • Do not mount the screen at an angle greater than 15 degrees.
  • Do not use screws longer than those specified in the VESA specification to avoid damage.
  • Do not overtighten screws, as this may damage the device.
  • Carry out the wall mounting of the TV with two people. For devices 82 inches or larger, four people should be involved.

Adequate Ventilation for Your Device

When setting up the TV and the One Connect Box (for supported models), maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm from walls and other objects to ensure adequate ventilation. Poor ventilation can lead to overheating and damage.

  • Use only Samsung stands or wall mounts to avoid stability issues.

Safety Instructions

Warning: The TV can tip over if pulled, pushed, or held onto. This can cause serious or fatal injuries.

  • Always use Samsung-recommended cabinets, stands, and installation procedures.
  • Only use furniture that can securely support the weight of the TV.
  • Ensure the TV does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.

For additional safety, you can use the anti-tip device. See the “Using the Anti-Tip Device” section for more details.

  • Educate others about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV or its controls.
  • Arrange the cables and wires connected to your TV so that no one can trip over, pull, or grab them.
  • Never place the TV in an unstable position.
  • Do not place the TV on tall furniture (e.g., high cabinets or shelves) without securely anchoring both the furniture and the TV.
  • Do not place cloths or other materials between the TV and the supporting furniture.
  • Do not place objects (e.g., toys or remote controls) on the TV or furniture that might encourage climbing.
  • Be careful not to pull out the stand when moving or lifting the TV for replacement or cleaning.

Using the Anti-Tip Device

  1. Secure brackets to the wall using the appropriate screws. Ensure that the screws are firmly fastened.
  2. Attach brackets to the TV using the appropriate screws. Refer to the installation manual under "Standard Screw" for technical specifications.
  3. Connect the brackets on the TV and the wall with a sturdy, tear-resistant cable and tighten it securely.
  4. Place the TV close to the wall to prevent it from tipping backward.
  5. Ensure that the brackets on the wall are not higher than the brackets on the device.

Precautions When Setting Up a TV with a Stand

(Only for The Frame Series) When installing a TV with a stand, do not place the stand on the rear edge of the table surface, as the motion sensor may not function properly.

Function

  • Dispose of batteries properly in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
  • Keep accessories (e.g., remote controls, batteries) safe and out of the reach of children.
  • Do not expose the device to shocks or impacts. Contact the Samsung service center if the device is damaged.
  • Never throw batteries or remote controls into fire.
  • Do not short-circuit, disassemble, or expose batteries to heat.
  • WARNING: Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type to avoid the risk of explosion.

Maintaining the TV

  • Unplug the power cord before cleaning and wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid using chemicals such as wax, benzene, alcohol, thinner, or insecticides, as they can damage the surface.
  • Clean the casing and screen gently with a soft cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Do not spray water or cleaning agents directly onto the device, as this can cause malfunctions, fire, or electric shock.
