Speaker Units Redesigned and Combined with Acoustic Lens
Just like its predecessor, the SC-C70MK2 shines with a 2.1-channel speaker system and a 12 cm subwoofer. The new 8 cm woofer features a lighter voice coil, while airflow has been improved and the stiffness of the diaphragm increased. The Hi-Res dome tweeters have silk diaphragms, ensuring excellent internal damping and smooth sound characteristics. The new tweeter is combined with an acoustic lens, whose shape has been optimized. Thanks to the woofer unit, the sound spreads, carried by a solid bass foundation.
Space Tune™
The acoustic environment also plays a role in shaping the sound. For optimal sound quality, the SC-C70 uses the calibration software Space Tune™. It adjusts parameters via its own network and adapts the sound to the specific room environment. Space Tune™ offers three presets (free, near wall, and near corner) and also provides the use of the "Technics Audio Center App" for precise sound quality adjustments according to the listening position.

Multi-Room
The Google Cast™ feature supports many music streaming services via a smartphone app. The data is streamed directly to the main unit without compromising sound quality. If a Google Assistant device is connected to the same network, it can be used to control music playback and other functions. If the user does not have a smartphone app at hand, music can simply be played via voice command. Speakers paired with Google Cast™ can play music from streaming services in multiple rooms simultaneously or differently from room to room*. When using the "Technics Audio Center App" in combination with another app compatible with Technics, other music sources such as Bluetooth, AUX, optical input, USB, and internet radio can also be used in multiple rooms.
Full Compatibility
Whether it's CDs, radio, or numerous music streaming services via Google Cast™ – the possibilities are endless. Additionally, Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, internet radio, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, network playback, USB storage, and the analog/optical input can all be utilized. The user interface of the iOS/Android smartphone app, "Technics Audio Center App," has also been redesigned to make it even easier to use.
