If You Notice Any Abnormality

• Turn off the power and disconnect the power plug immediately if any of the following occurs:
  • The power cord or plug is damaged.
  • An unusual smell, sound, or smoke is emitted from the unit.
  • Foreign material or water enters the interior of the unit.
  • There is a sudden loss of sound during use.
  • There are visible cracks or damage to the unit.

  Continued use under these conditions could lead to electric shocks, fire, or malfunctions. Contact the dealer where the unit was purchased or qualified Yamaha service personnel for inspection or repair.

Power Supply

• Avoid activities that may damage the power cord:
  • Do not place it near heat sources like heaters.
  • Do not bend or alter the cord excessively.
  • Do not scratch or expose the core of the cord.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the cord.

  Using a damaged cord may result in electric shocks or fire.

• Do not touch the power plug or cord during a lightning storm to avoid electric shocks.
• Use the unit with the voltage specified on it. Failure to use the appropriate voltage may cause fire, electric shocks, or malfunctions.
• Always use the supplied power cord:
  • Do not use it with other units.

  Failure to comply may lead to fire, burns, or malfunctions.

• Check the plug regularly and remove any dirt or dust to prevent fire or electric shocks.
• Ensure the AC outlet used is easily accessible. In case of trouble, immediately disconnect the plug from the outlet.
• If the unit will not be used for an extended period, unplug it from the AC outlet to avoid potential fire or malfunctions.

Do Not Disassemble

• Do not disassemble or modify the unit:

  Disassembling or modifying the unit could cause fire, electric shocks, injuries, or malfunctions.

Water Warning

• Do not expose the unit to rain, use it near water, or in damp or wet conditions. Avoid placing containers (such as vases, bottles, or glasses) with liquids near the unit where spills could enter openings. Liquid ingress could cause fire, electric shocks, or malfunctions.
• Never insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands. Avoid handling the unit with wet hands. Failure to observe this precaution could lead to electric shocks or malfunctions.

Fire Warning

• Do not place burning items or open flames near the unit, as they could cause a fire.

Handling Caution

• Handle the unit carefully to avoid dropping it or applying strong impact. Failure to do so may result in electric shocks, fire, or malfunctions.

Battery Use

• Do not disassemble batteries. Contact with battery contents could cause blindness or chemical burns.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire or expose them to high temperatures, such as direct sunlight or flames. This could cause the battery to burst, leading to fire or injury.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Charging such batteries may cause them to burst or leak, resulting in blindness, chemical burns, or injury.
• If batteries leak, avoid contact with the leaked fluid. If contact occurs, wash the area immediately with water and consult a doctor. Battery fluid is corrosive and may cause loss of sight or chemical burns.

Power Supply

• Do not use an AC outlet where the power plug fits loosely. Failure to observe this may cause fire, electric shocks, or burns.
• When disconnecting the power plug, always hold the plug itself and not the cord. Pulling by the cord can damage it, leading to electric shocks or fire.
• Insert the power plug firmly into the AC outlet. A partially inserted plug can accumulate dust, causing fire or burns.

Installation

• Do not place the unit in an unstable position where it might accidentally drop or fall, causing injuries.
• Ensure proper heat dissipation:
  • Do not cover the unit with cloth.
  • Do not install it on a carpet or rug.
  • Do not block its ventilation holes (cooling slits).
  • Do not use the device in confined, poorly ventilated locations.
  Failure to observe these precautions may trap heat inside the unit, leading to fire or malfunctions. Maintain at least 30 cm of space on top, 20 cm on the sides, and 20 cm at the rear.
• Avoid installing the unit in areas exposed to corrosive gases, salt air, excessive smoke, or steam, as these conditions can cause malfunction.
• During disasters, such as earthquakes, avoid being near the unit. It may tip over or fall, causing injury.
• When transporting or moving the unit, always use two or more people. Attempting to lift it alone may result in back injury, other injuries, or damage to the unit.
• Before moving the unit, ensure the power switch is turned off, and all connection cables are disconnected. Failure to do so may damage cables or cause trips and falls.

Hearing Loss

• Avoid using the unit at high or uncomfortable volume levels for extended periods, as it may cause permanent hearing loss. If you experience hearing loss or ringing in the ears, consult a physician.
• Before connecting the unit to other devices, ensure all devices are powered off and all volume levels are set to minimum. Failing to do so may cause hearing loss, electric shock, or device damage.
• When turning on your audio system, always turn the unit on LAST to avoid hearing loss or speaker damage. When turning off the system, turn the unit off FIRST for the same reason.

Maintenance

• Remove the power plug from the AC outlet before cleaning the unit. Failure to observe this precaution may cause electric shocks.

Handling Caution

• Do not touch surfaces labeled with caution symbols. These areas may become hot during operation and could cause burns.
• Avoid inserting foreign materials such as metal or paper into the openings of the unit. This can result in fire, electric shocks, or malfunctions.
• Keep small parts out of the reach of infants to prevent accidental swallowing.
• Avoid the following actions to prevent injuries or damage to the unit:
  • Standing or sitting on the equipment.
  • Placing heavy items on top of the equipment.
  • Stacking the equipment.
  • Applying excessive force to buttons, switches, or input/output terminals.
• Do not pull connected cables to prevent the unit from falling, which could cause injuries or damage.

Battery Use

• Use only specified batteries to avoid fire, burns, or fluid leakage that can cause skin inflammation.
• Do not mix new and old batteries or different types of batteries (e.g., alkaline and manganese). This can result in fire, burns, or inflammation.
• Keep batteries away from children. Accidental ingestion may cause harm due to fluid leakage.
• Do not store or carry batteries together with metal objects, as this may cause short-circuits, explosion, or leaks.
• Always insert batteries with the correct polarity (+/−). Incorrect insertion can lead to fire, burns, or leaks.
• Remove batteries from the remote control if the unit is not in use for a long time to avoid leakage.
• Before discarding batteries, insulate the terminals with tape to prevent short circuits, which can cause fires or burns.

Notice

• To prevent damage or malfunctions:
  • If the unit will not be used for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet.
  • Even in standby mode, the unit draws a small amount of current.
• Do not use the unit near other electronic devices like TVs, radios, or mobile phones to prevent noise interference.
• Avoid placing the unit in areas exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust, or vibrations to prevent deformation, malfunction, or instability.

Connections

• Follow the manuals and instructions for all connected devices to prevent malfunctions.

Handling

• Do not place vinyl, plastic, or rubber items on the unit to avoid discoloration or deformation.
• If condensation forms due to rapid temperature changes, wait until the unit is completely dry before use to prevent malfunctions.

Maintenance

• Wipe off condensation immediately with a soft cloth to prevent deformation of wooden parts.
• Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Avoid chemicals like benzine, thinner, or abrasive cleaners to prevent discoloration or damage.
