Excellent circuit design based on the ToP-ART concept for highest sound quality
The ToP-ART concept (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) guarantees excellent sound in interaction with the ART Base. Only when both the processing and the transmission of the audio signals are designed to be simple and direct can the influence of noise and distortion be minimised. The Yamaha technology for this amplifier design is called ToP-ART. It consists of a fully balanced design from input to output, with left and right channels processed with the shortest possible signal paths. This guarantees outstanding sound with unadulterated clarity. The ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base enclosure bottom and solid centre rail provide additional stability and dampen vibrations. These design innovations from Yamaha further contribute to excellent audio reproduction with superb musicality.
High-quality components for superior sound quality
The quality of the individual parts and their interaction are crucial to the sound of each component. That's why Yamaha uses only high-quality components that are carefully selected and tested. With the A-S501, excellent signal reproduction is guaranteed even under demanding conditions - the mains transformer and blocking capacitors are specially made, the speaker relays have a direct signal path, and there is also single-point earthing and extruded aluminium heat exchangers.
