Hello

A few days ago I ordered an AW-441 Sub, quickly tested it, and very quickly realized that it wasn't the one. The return was initiated without a murmur, and now I have to lug the good piece back to the post office.

The letter stated the reason for the return: "Didn't sound as I had hoped".

Although this is true, I still have to point out that the delivery, workmanship, performance and even the fact that it was taken back without complaint are beyond reproach. The only problem is that I live in a house with good sound quality and every time I hear a "kick from the sub" I worry about whether the cups are dancing in the cupboard next door.

Instead of the fat sub, I'm currently trying a do-it-yourself dipole in the absolute near field. It has its disadvantages, but I've never had so much fun with such a clear conscience :-)

Nevertheless, my next purchase will certainly take me back to the Nubies.

Greetings from Hamburg
Holger

Too bad. But THANK YOU for the explanation that it wasn't the quality of the subwoofer. Maybe we'll get together again after all...

I recently became the proud owner of a pair of NuPro 20 stereo speakers from the first delivery. I had Nubert speakers years ago, the Nubox 310, but due to a separation, a move and a radical change of life, I sold everything back then, including the speakers.
I've been using M-audio active studio speakers for over a year now. They are quite good, but I always missed the Nubert feeling. When I read that Nubert was launching the active Nupro speakers at the end of April, I pre-ordered them straight away as I'm a fan of this technology. Sound from a single source, the way Mr. Nubert imagines it, that's how I like it.

The delivery arrived last Friday. And what can I say: You just have to bow down in front of (I'll call him that now) Dr. Prof. Genius Nubert. These speakers are extremely powerful in terms of sound, visually very high quality and, thanks to the adjustment options, are perfect for my rather sparsely furnished and therefore acoustically less than ideal living room.

What do I mean by "extremely powerful in terms of sound"? With the right material, these speakers are almost frighteningly direct and powerful. That's how I would describe it. Very dynamic but at the same time clear, clean and effortless. It's this mixture that makes the difference. You notice the high reserves of this product. But this depends very much on the material. Especially with pop/rock music, it depends a lot on the recording. Although I hardly listen to classical music, I was most impressed by the speakers on the HD station Classica HD. This is the music where you can hear the subtleties. As I said, I hardly ever listen to it, but you can really get into it.

On the other hand, Blu Ray movies (depending on the recording) are simply amazing. Just like you know it from the good cinemas (Imax). Clear, clean, you understand everyone very well, hear the subtle noises, but at the same time extremely strong and powerful. A dream. The fact that the speakers manage this balancing act between subtlety and dynamics so well is the most impressive thing for me.

At this price, this product really is an extremely great speaker. Almost too good for the living room. Because the speakers can easily be used in recording studios.

Pictures speak louder than words. I have published a short demo video. Please don't hold the poor picture and sound quality against me. The video was made with a simple digi-cam, but maybe some of you can get a better impression. Because I think that the lively, direct sound is also noticeable.

So now it's time for me to write down a few lines here and express my thanks for these ingenious and acoustic masterpieces!
I bought the Nubox 360 for the first time in 1999 through a report (I was still in Celle at the time) and they were already exceptional for me at the time!
By March 2000 I hadn't bought the CS 4 and the RS 3 (I was in Proseken then)!
These cream pieces are still connected to a Yamaha RX V10 receiver which I also bought in Celle in 1999 and it has just 3x50 + 2x15 watts but is completely sufficient.
When it gets to me, the house shakes and the neighbors think that a huge stage has been built.
The sound is still so crystal clear, present and balanced that I can only pat myself on the back every time I switch it on and am as happy as a child at Christmas!
I have been able to convince many friends and colleagues to buy Nubert speakers for 12 years now and they are all so happy with this purchase that they can't believe it!
There is only one problem, they last too long, well Mr. Nubert what kind of things do you and your great team put together? I can tell you, speakers that sound unmistakable and accompany you for the rest of your life!
My latest speakers, which will take some time, will be the Nu Vero!
Masterpieces to the power of ten that are truly unrivaled worldwide!
I had the pleasure of listening to them at a colleague's house and I can tell you that they were divine!
A huge compliment and thank you to you Mr. Nubert and your team. Keep up the good work!

But mine are still 1A+ and I won't give them back!
12 years says it all, doesn't it?

Hello friends of good sound,

I have owned a Nuline 102 set (without subwoofer) since summer 2010.
Back then, as soon as I received the floorstanding speakers and the center, I was absolutely thrilled.
So enthusiastic that I bought the DS 22 in December of the same year to replace my old rears as well.
These little speakers are not only great to look at, they make watching movies a real experience.

At that time, I was already reading about a small electronic box in the forum.
Somehow I finally wanted to know what the ATM was all about and so I ordered it in January.
The connection to my AV receiver worked without any problems thanks to the Nubert forum and the BDA, but it wasn't elegant enough for me.
So I added a stereo power amplifier 😬

What happened to the 102s in my listening room as a result was/is actually unbelievable.
I am still amazed at these abysmally deep, undistorted basses, provided of course that they are also present on the music recording.
And that even at volumes beyond good and evil (thank goodness I have very tolerant neighbors 😂 )

I enjoy music from these fine speakers every day and am just as enthusiastic as I was on the first day after unpacking them.

Best regards
N. Ulbrich

Hello,

I have the complete 681 speaker set in Black & Black at home. I was very skeptical at first (with online buying and all...) but I took a chance and they are definitely here to stay!

Especially with the AW-991 sub, I'm really scared that it's going to blow the windows out of my hut!!! 😬

Although I have to say that I was "disappointed" at first, but one thing at a time:
Until I had my surround system, I only knew stereo.
I first bought an AVR, a Pioneer SC-LX82 and then later ordered the NuBox set.

After the automatic calibration, it still sounded weak and emotionless at first.

Until at some point I started to take a serious look at the AVR. I had relied far too much on the automatic calibration, which is certainly not bad, but unfortunately didn't suit my personal taste.
The level was turned down far too much and the EQ settings were inappropriate for my taste.

I don't want to go into too much detail because it would drift too much in the direction of the AVR. After I had finished adjusting everything, I experienced a revelation!

Super-crisp bass without any annoying "booming" and crystal-clear highs without any distortion or scratching.
And it doesn't even do that when you really turn it up.

I'm very happy with the Nubis and can only recommend that you take a good look at the AVR if it doesn't sound the way you expect it to at first.

My old Infinty MKIIs have therefore been consigned to the basement party room.

A big thank you to the entire Nubert team, also for the great telephone/technical advice from Mr. Bühler, who was able to dispel my concerns about the "4 ohm story".

I am very satisfied and keep up the good work!

With audiophile greetings from Hanover

After studying the catalog and reading all the available material on the Internet and listening to the competition, I ordered a pair of Nubox 481 in black/black and ATM 481 on April 18 at 10:15 a.m. I was thrilled to see them in my living room the next morning at 11:00 a.m. I was also not a bit chubby, as some people wrote. Visually much nicer in real life with the glossy front than in pictures, not a bit chubby either, as some people wrote. Flawless workmanship. After my wife had approved the installation location, wired up the speakers and looped in the ATM, I let them warm up for a few hours without listening. Then my old Denon PMA 425 was to show what its 2x60 watt sine wave could do, or whether it would be the next victim. First without ATM - I was very impressed. Has it always been on the CD? Heard for the first time: a hit is not just an overall sound, but the drummer hits the skin and the brass, the bass and guitar shred briefly and concisely and all at the same time, never before heard so clearly separated.
Then my favorite test for 35 years: Time by Pink Floyd (I'm 49). I know the synthy bass in all variations from the radio alarm clock to the upscale party PA, but I've never heard it SOO at home... okay, switch on this ATM. If I had died at that moment, the grin would have had to be chiseled away. Turn up the volume, turn it up even louder and turn up the bass on the ATM even more. No one can understand a word I'm saying, but nothing to do, the music is still distortion-free and absolutely clean. Mind you, the amplifier works with Tone-Defeat, i.e. without a tone control. Hammer.
Put Richard Bartz in for a test. It's unbelievable how the loudspeakers push this electro-killer sound into the room, raven black, razor-sharp and absolutely clean. Googled Denon again: actually only 2X60 watts. Now that's what I call efficiency. The whole thing only works like this in a detached house.... Nobody can have such accommodating tenants.
Incidentally, the ATM doesn't just pay off with the bass. The treble/mid control can breathe new life into old treasures that were recorded before the invention of the exciter. A wonderful opportunity to optimize differently produced tracks. And by the way: the ATM is not to be confused with the bass and treble controls on the amp. When I turn in the bass, it gets blacker and nothing else.
The 192 - 320 KB MP3s played back from the laptop via an external Pro-Ject USB-AD converter sound absolutely authentic and powerful.
Conclusion: if you consider that Nubert only charges 750? for these dream speakers including ATM, you can speak of a small miracle. With competitors, a comparable sound costs at least twice as much and then it's still not this. You are actually buying yourself a piece of quality of life. Without sh....
And while I straighten out grandma's old tea service in the display case, I wonder what a 681 or something even more powerful would do to our porcelain.
And yet - a brief criticism: the cable bridge at the connections is unfortunately borderline. Fiddling with a 2.5 square cable is a bit tricky. It could hardly be thicker. Honestly, how many customers use bi-wiring/amping? Such esoterics surely buy more expensive speakers. Don't they? 😉

Hello dear Nubert team,

I've been using my 5.1 set for about 4 weeks now and I'm really satisfied all round. The sound is brilliant and the workmanship is TOP. As a total novice with the Marantz 5005, setting it up was frustrating for me for the first few minutes because I wanted to get started straight away, but after a few days everything was perfectly tuned =).

The only drawback:

I got a speeding ticket in my car on the way to the listening test. Cost 150 euros and 3 points. But at least I've now got a souvenir photo of this lovely day, so somehow it's not a drawback after all 😬

Many thanks again to Florian for his detailed and competent advice.

Best regards from Ingolstadt,
Thomas

Hello dear Nubi team,

Unfortunately I have to get rid of something critical. I ordered the Nucable Audio 8 RCA cables. The cables are nice, but they are not the same length in all packs (differences in centimeters). Especially for audiophile freaks (of which I am not one when it comes to cables), this should no longer happen in this price category. Manufacturing with millimeter precision should always be possible, even with a supplied component.

I come from the quality management sector and know what I'm talking about.

Best regards,

Christian

Dear Nubert team,

I also have to get something off my chest.

My curious impatience was put to the test for three weeks, as the body of the NuBox481 I ordered was only rebuilt last week, which was clear from the outset.
But the wait was worth it: after listening extensively to the speakers, which are now connected to Marantz components, I am really, really satisfied. My couch vibrates when I (and the neighbors 🙂 ) want it to; the highs (switch setting: brilliant) are clear but not annoying, the voices are present and guitar pickings are audible.
The exterior is also exactly what I wanted: Simple, but very sensibly finished.

The only "shortcoming", which you have already "warned" about: The speakers are actually very honest. In my case, this means that some productions, which I really didn't expect, fall off sharply and some things offer completely new sound perspectives. Some numbers gave me a real sonic high that made me gulp and grin happily.

Thank you very much!

And one day in the distant future, when the good God of money lets it rain, I will embark on the experiment "What's possible with _even_ better speakers?"... 😉

Greetings from Cologne,
Conny P.
