Since Mr. Schneider asked me for feedback on the Nuvero 170 during a very nice consultation, here are a few words:
My starting point was the Nuvero 14, which I enjoyed for 8 years.
They provide sound for a small basement movie theater (approx. 26m²). To get the room modes under control, I had an antimode between the AV receiver and the power amplifier. However, I wanted to simplify the complicated switch-on ritual (4 devices just to listen to music). So last year I found a powerful AV receiver with Dirac that fulfilled all my wishes. Of course, I invested a lot of time in the room acoustics. These two factors (Dirac + room) were the most beneficial. And because it costs nothing, although I was very skeptical, I switched to bi-amping. What can I say ö I've never heard 14s like this before. The 170s had already been ordered and I had doubts as to whether anything better was possible.
To say it up front: Yes, it is possible ö even quite a bit. I only changed the 170s and left all the settings as they were. The "nonchalance" already described earlier really does exist. With my eyes closed (this is very important), a sound is created that I have never heard before. You can hear notes at the top left front and at the same time diagonally at the bottom right back (sounds strange, but it's true). It's fascinating how real voices and instruments are reproduced. Always a surprise with emotions and goose bumps. The 14s are great speakers, but the 170s are another world. After two weeks of testing, I sold the 14s (they were gone immediately).
Somehow, after two weeks, the sound has improved considerably (apparently there is such a thing as playing in!).
But now I really can't imagine that a Nupower power amplifier will make any difference, can you? .....
Conclusion: The upgrade is worth every euro to me. I didn't think it would become clear so quickly. If you have the space and the money, please give it a try.
Investing money in quality of life always pays off.

Ordered the X6000 RC active loudspeakers about 5 weeks ago and tested them extensively. Fascinating bass, extremely clear reproduction, the sound image is completely detached from the speakers and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about their location. The wireless transmission between the two speakers works flawlessly and the app control is spartanly efficient. The Nuberts supplemented by the Bluesound Node 2i replace a renowned Scottish chain consisting of a preamplifier with integrated streamer and a powerful power amplifier, which in turn drives floorstanding loudspeakers.
The X-6000s are superior to the old (excellent) combo in almost all respects and will be with me for the next few years, a clear recommendation 🙂

I've only had the nuBox 483 for 24 hours: the order was processed quickly and without any unanswered questions on my part. The optical/technical quality is very high considering the price. Even established manufacturers of considerably more expensive speakers could probably take their cue from the sound on offer. No high-end 'woodoo' or anything similar. The solidity of the development is audible!
The sound is powerful, dynamic, broadband ...with a modern 500Ö amplifier! The source is an old Linn Sondek, a Kenwood model 600 T(uner) and audio files that come via Bluetooth (optically connected to the amplifier).
The characteristics of the respective recording/source are revealed. Getting used to the 'new' sound is quick, as it is convincing. The bass is deep, sonorous AND crisp. The cone material is noticeable in the mid-range - rather warm-toned ... perhaps a little subtle. It doesn't have the 'metal sound' of other brands. The tweeter resolves nicely, without the distortion often heard elsewhere (as far as the recording allows). The (spatial) imaging is stable - even at higher volumes. With classical music, the respective recording quality becomes particularly apparent. Modern recording technology sounds large and transparent, old recordings reveal the (tonal) preferences of the respective era. The 483 is convincing in that it does not favor any musical genre (...how could it?).
It would be nice if the 483 were available in real wood.

I came across Nubert by chance (I'm not a hi-fi expert and more of a newcomer to the field, but I've had a love of music for much longer). Accordingly, I spent quite a long time researching before buying a sound system, but only managed to unearth this treasure after a relatively long time (as someone who was initially completely ignorant, it doesn't seem that easy). This is not least due to the fact that Nubert only sells its products to a limited extent via external dealers. (There is an anecdote circulating on the Internet that explains the origin of this practice, which still exists today).
The latter can only say good things about a company if it doesn't seem to need to organize large-scale advertising campaigns to sell its products to men (and women, of course).
The lucky coincidence was that I was looking online for suitable stands for the compact loudspeakers and amplifier I had already purchased at the time, and in my opinion the supplier only had overpriced ones on offer.
At some point I found an excellent offer from Nubert. I then read up on Nubert's material and history, and the scientific and therefore objective approach in particular aroused my curiosity and interest, so I pro forma ordered the NuConnect AmpX amplifier.
After trying it out (I've never experienced faster shipping, by the way), it was clear to me after a few attempts, blind tests mind you: "you have to keep this thing".
Now I had tasted blood, so to speak, and a few days later I ordered two compact loudspeakers (NuLine-34), which after a few more blind tests (in my opinion, anything other than blind tests makes no sense at all), also with the previous amplifier, were much more convincing!
Well, what can I say, except for the cable, I now only have Nubert products in my living room, which have successively and brilliantly replaced the previous system due to two stands, although overall it only represents a 12% higher investment. (I would like to keep the manufacturer anonymous, as I am not a fan of unnecessary negative advertising).
In addition, the telephone contact was customer-friendly and the advice was very competent.
In short, I can recommend Nubert all round!

Best regards

A big thank you to the nubert team!

It's a pleasure to see that nubert not only still builds the best speakers you can get (for me), but that the service and help when something gets stuck is simply amazing. I've had nubert speakers for about 40 years, and the oldest ones have been in use every day(!) since then and give me pleasure when listening to music. Since then, I've added a few more, including an AW-993 subwoofer - a natural phenomenon of a woofer, you just stand in front of it in amazement and can't believe what's going on in the low bass range, which was previously rather unheard of.

I would like to thank you for the absolutely exemplary, friendly, fast and excellent handling of a repair. Please keep up the good work!

Best regards, Ullrich Wenkebach

Dear Günther Nubert,

Perhaps you still remember the early days when you brought one of your first systems to my living room in Brainkofen. Those were the days when the company was still in its infancy. We were still in lively contact afterwards.

In the meantime, 40 years have passed and I can see that the company has developed magnificently. I am still happy every day when I switch on my Nubert speakers and I like to think back to those days.

After leaving school, I studied law and now live in Ulm. I run my own law firm there just as successfully. Here, too, I have a few of the magnificent newer speakers that I consider to be truly unique.

Incidentally, I even still have the old black speakers from 40 years ago in my cellar and they still work very well.

All the best to you and the whole team! I'll come by again when I want to buy something newer.

With best regards

Thomas Schmid

We all have one thing in common here... Music and movies. Professionals spend ages fiddling around for the perfect sound -- if you want to hear the original, you should stick with NUBERT. Other cheap suppliers artificially boost the bass or midrange. NO THANKS

Hello from Cologne-Porz.
I haven't bought anything (yet), I would just like to give you some feedback.
After sending an e-mail to the hotline, I immediately received an automated reply saying that it might take some time to process (simplified construction pressure).
Nothing at NUBERT. What always surprises me positively about Nubert is that Mr. Heim (or Hein, sorry) contacted me by phone just 10 minutes later.
In a very pleasant conversation, we discussed my open questions, clarified the room conditions, and so on. Well, as it happens, now I have to make the decision between active 4000s vs NV60 / NL 34 + necessary power amplifier. The advice from H. Heim was decisive. The smallest pro-ject S2s really don't cut it.
Thanks also to Mr. Schneider and Mr. Hinsenhofen in Duisburg, where I was able to compare the above-mentioned loudspeakers with my own CDs a week ago.
I wish you all a good time.

I wanted a new AV preamplifier and chose the Marantz AV8805. Quotations were obtained from several dealers, with Nubert offering me the best price.

Many thanks to Mr. Lothar Schneider for the great support and the pleasant contact!

The 5 year old NuPro A200 had fun in the study for 5 years. In the last few months, the slave box hung and could no longer be configured. All the tips from the forum didn't help, in the end it remained silent.

I contacted the Nubert hotline and described the fault. Nubert sent me a return label, the original packaging was still there, and the box was sent on its way.

What can I say, DHL had just arrived and I received the repaired speaker back. Small test, everything is fine again.

A big compliment from me to all Nubert employees who were involved in handling the repair.

Thanks again dear Nubert team for this great service!
