Hi folks, here's a report on my (first) visit to Nubert: Despite the long journey (approx. 350 km), I can say that the visit was worthwhile in several respects. On the one hand, after purchasing my 310s about 10 months ago, I wanted to get an impression of whether and if so, what quantum leaps in terms of sound improvement would come with a new purchase. The following observations were made: 1. the quality of the 310s is truly outstanding considering their size. The neutral tuning and the surprisingly powerful bass (for this size) really make them a speaker with character, which is more than sufficient for a music lover without high-end ambitions and (like me) is capable of providing the listener with many hours of first-class musical enjoyment. However, the 310's limits are where you want a powerful low bass, which is also the reason for me to look around for something else. Now to the alternative in the shelf speaker range, the NuWave 3 or NuLine 30: I was disappointed by the gain in sound quality without ABL. I would have expected a little more from a speaker that costs almost twice as much (NuWave) or a little more than twice as much (NuLine). However, the situation is different with the ABL switched on: You actually think you have a speaker twice the size in front of you and the bass now really goes in the direction of real low bass and that dry and without distortion or booming. Brilliant! It's just a shame that the device has a really proud price. Perhaps NSF should consider integrating the ABL permanently into the LS, as has already been suggested several times in the forum. The other observation I made relates to the appearance and visual quality of the NuLine vs. NuWave series. The disappointment first: the real wood veneer of the NuLine only looks really classy to my taste in the cherry version; I was particularly disappointed by the beech version I had previously favored, which had a very artificial sheen due to the varnish used. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality appearance of the NuWave models. The presentation on the Internet and in the printed advertising material is very deceptive here. The differences in sound between the NuLine and NuWave were also clearer than expected. The NuWave sounds noticeably more balanced than the descriptions (e.g. from Mr. Nubert himself in the forum) suggest. A worthwhile listening comparison. Finally, a big word of praise for the service: although the store was packed and the (astonishing) number of consultants were sometimes running around like mad, I was never urged to hurry in the listening studios. It was also very positive to note that none of the consultants suggested or forced a judgment on me. Instead, they made a great effort to listen to my wishes and needs and tried to help me further. In short: the kind of advice you could only wish for. A Merry Christmas and a successful year 2003 to all NSF employees Kubrick

Moin, moin from 'nem Fischkopp ! I dared to order a speaker that I have never heard and that is new in the program, i.e. without any recommendation from tests in various magazines... I actually wanted the Canton Ergo RC-A or the Quadral Aurum Vulkan, because they had good reviews and I could have bought them cheaply. Anyway, I ordered the Nubis one day and they arrived the next! Wow ! Three gigantic packages. How was I supposed to explain this to the neighbors who had accepted the packages for me? Oops - I must have misjudged the height of 125 cm a little. My wife calls the nuWave 125 speakers in silver with a black front panel monster speakers that dominate the living room - which is already about 33 square meters in size! My wife is not yet sure whether the speakers will survive the 4-week trial period! At least she can hear the difference to the old (disco) speakers... The amplifier was recommended to me during the telephone consultation: a Marantz PM 8000. I underestimated the diameter of the cables I ordered and unfortunately they were too thick (6 qmm) for the connection to the amplifier, so I thinned them out on the advice of the hotline. I hope that I won't suffer any loss as a result. The Sony CDP-911 CD player was classified as a mid-range device, we'll politely keep quiet about the tape deck. Now I'm no specialist, but I wanted, as they say, speakers (and amplifiers) for life. And who knows when I'll ever have so much money in one pile again! It was just a childhood dream... In any case, I was very impressed by Mr. Siegle's extremely patient advice! He patiently explained all my questions, called me back several times on request and didn't persuade me to do anything. Somehow I wish I could get this kind of advice in other purchasing situations too! So: high praise (but without the hype!)! Should I have opted for the nuLine 10 plus ABL instead? Anyway, I finally got the speakers connected. Switch on. Christmas Oratorio inserted. And I had suspected beforehand that it was going to be a real blast! Right at the beginning I expected the timpani to tear the living room apart. But - dat hest Du Di so decht, mien Jung! My goodness, that sounds thin. Source direct taken out, bass and treble on the amplifier turned up all the way. Better. But somehow still not what I thought it would be. I was expecting a hurricane, a firework of sound. Hmm. Did I do something wrong? Is it already esoteric to buy such expensive speakers? Then my wife, who knows the WO almost by heart, especially in this version, said: "You can hear much more detail than with your old speakers! ??? In the course of the evening we listened to the complete WO. I'm not sure myself yet, but my wife thinks that the speakers bring out the voices much better, whereas before the instruments were in the foreground. In general, we had the feeling that every singing or playing faux pas was immediately noticeable - at least comparable to a live concert - without people being able to see it... In the evening I went to bed full of music. What fascinated me was that the speakers could be really loud without booming. You can still hear the sound quite clearly 3 rooms away! I now also have an idea of what is meant by terms such as precision, transparency and spatiality. What I have learned is that you have to relearn how to listen with speakers like these. That the most important thing about music is not the flapping trouser legs, the clinking of glasses in the cupboard, the fluttering of the diaphragm or the dancing of the floorboards... Preliminary conclusion: the next few weeks will be exciting. I suspect that I might be able to persuade my wife to keep the Monster - but I'll probably be eagerly awaiting the ABL module in the hope of a little more oomph (or warmth)... Or should I order the nuLine 10+ABL module after all? In any case, I wish all Speaker Factory employees and readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! GreetinX G. Warnecke

I received my NuWave CS-4 today and have to say: Dear Nubert team, you made a mistake! I had ordered a 2nd choice loudspeaker and received a 1st choice. I don't see any defects. But you won't get it back! And the sound is the usual top class. Keep up the good work!

Hello Nubert team! A few weeks ago I bought the Yamaha Pianocraft E-200 system for my study. The speakers that came with it sounded quite good. It was clear to me from the start that I would sell the standard speakers and replace them with the nuBox 310. With its aluminum front, the nuBox 310 matches the silver Pianocraft perfectly. The dynamic and crisp, fresh sound of the Pianocraft drives the excellent nuBox 310 to peak sonic performance. I'm always amazed at how this pairing really ups the fun factor for me, it's incredible. The highs and mids are very differentiated and clean, certainly also a result of the linear tuning. The bass is absolutely satisfactory for this size. Finally, I would like to make a recommendation: When you get the speakers delivered and plug them in, don't expect miracles. The speakers definitely need a break-in period of approx. 40 to 60 hours !!!! (I left the system running at a low level almost around the clock for a few days. Only then do the speakers (or the components) play at the highest level. So be patient and don't send them back straight away. Many thanks to the Nubert team, especially this time to Ms. Iris Bücheler! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2003, with kind regards from Juergen Gammer

Dear ladies and gentlemen of the Nubert team, after a certain waiting period I would like to inform you about the results of my listening comparison of the Nuline 100 with ABL module against the Martin Logan Aerius i. The interesting thing about this comparison is not only the big difference in the new price (Martin Logan 1999: approx. 6000-7000 DM, depending on the dollar exchange rate), but also being able to compare different systems (Logan: hybrid electrostat/Nubert: dynamic LS) in the comfort of your own home. Since Nubert's advertising promises that Nubert speakers are on a par with or even superior to much more expensive transducers, it was particularly important to me to find out whether the sound reality lives up to the promises. Having listened to the Logans for years, I initially found the Nubert sound to be shockingly different, above all much more restless and brighter. However, my assessment changed over time. During the first hour, you could still hear the coldness of the transportation. Even after a warm-up period, it became clear that the Nuline should be given about 15-20 hours of break-in time and that we should be careful about judging them too quickly. This was followed by intensive listening sessions, during which the following characteristics emerged, partly through conversations with family members and friends: 1. low bass: while the Logans gave a hint of real low bass, the Nubert's bass was frighteningly deep and tangible, without being boomy. 2. lower mids: both the Nuline 100 and the Aerius i can resolve this frequency range very openly and naturally. Compared to the electrostats, I found the Nuline 100 lacked the warmth and volume with which the Aerius i caresses the listener with baritone voices or cello solos. To be honest, however, it has to be said that this speaker has a certain frequency response curvature in this range according to stereophile. The tonally homogeneous transition between the lower mids and basses is particularly successful with the electrostats. In any case, you can also get used to the somewhat more neutral sound of the Nuline 100 in this area. But does the NuWave 125 sound even more voluminous here? 3. upper mids The Logan's strength of being able to place solo voices in the room in front of the speakers with the right timbres is almost matched by the Nuline 100, but the Logan sacrifices this ability with material that is difficult to resolve (mixed choir with a full Renaissance orchestra with a strong reverb) with a certain density in the sound image that makes it difficult, for example, to distinguish between female voices and violins played in unison. This is where the Nubert really comes into its own: resolution and attention to detail are its great strengths. 4. treble The attention to detail, clarity and airiness of the Nuline 100 is extremely fascinating, which is of course particularly noticeable in the treble range. It was able to pass on the wealth of information contained in a well-recorded CD in a similar way to a good pair of headphones. The Martin Logan ELS couldn't keep up here, they concealed many details of a recording with their very round and warm sound. The breathing of the musicians, noises from the conductor's podium, details from the applause in a jazz cellar, reverb information, the creaking noises of the double bass of a baroque orchestra (Bach, St. John Passion, Harnoncourt, 1st movement): I only knew all these details from my CDs from top-of-the-range headphones from Jecklin Float and AKG. I have never heard this resolution and speed from loudspeakers, not even from my Dynaudio Contour 1.8, which I owned before the Logans. The Nuline 100 could do it. Fascinating! That's what I've always wanted. 5. spatial representation/localization The Nuline 100 also had an advantage over the Logans in this respect, although the gap was not as large as in the previous point. Compared to the electrostatic presentation, the sound stage moved slightly more towards the depth of the room. I was able to localize and distinguish individual groups of an orchestra or choir well. My sonic conclusion: In almost all areas, the Nubert was clearly superior to Martin Logan's electrostats, which are almost twice as expensive, even though both transducers perform at a high level. So, for once, the advertising claims are not misleading, but accurate. Only in the areas of male voices/violoncello etc. could a little more warmth and volume be on the wish list (but please not at the price of coloration!) The additional octave downwards promised by the ABL module is actually present, I can recommend the purchase. I also find the module's adjustment options very good, because you can use them to counteract room conditions and imbalances in a recording without distorting the sound substance, as tone controls on amplifiers do. I would only give away the Nuline 100 in exchange for the NuWave 125...but then there's the matter of my wife's looks and taste...wood simply goes down better... The workmanship is impeccable and of high quality, and the advice on the phone was very patient, competent, objective and not too sales-oriented. G. Nubert answered some of my questions in the forum personally, in detail and with a high degree of objective seriousness: Where else can you get that ? I also find the opportunity to listen at home in peace and quiet very fair. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Nubert because of their service and their products (as far as I know them, see above). If you want high-end sound, but also want to be able to count on your money, Nubert is the right address. Merry Christmas to southern Germany! Too bad: I was just about to order something from the bargain section: 1x NuWave RS5 anthracite (to upgrade my 6.1 to 7.1 system). I was looking forward to it, but the hotline told me that these parts are not sold individually but only as a pair. Sad for 2 reasons: 1. you could have stated this from the outset (so I don't have to wait for the part) and 2. I've already left about 3000 euros with you, and I would have hoped for a little concession. Well, it's not that tragic. I would only advise selling the 2nd choice RS5 as a pair out of fairness. Because according to the hotline, the RS5 would be available individually as a new product...) Anyway, I'm still saving up for 2 NuWave 125's. At least I won't have any more problems because I'll be taking 2 of them. Have a nice holiday, see you soon!

Hello dear Nubert team, since last weekend I have been the owner of two NuBox 380. The sound and build quality absolutely match the specifications you gave me. The service in Sch. Gmünd was exemplary. Many thanks again to Mr. Schäfer, great advice. They will certainly not be my last Nubert speakers. Best regards Jan Kolditz

Hello expert Nubert team I've owned the brand new CS-150 for a week now and I'm completely delighted with it, just as I was with my existing speakers. You have once again outdone yourselves. One quality, one design, one price - SIMPLY CONCRETE !!! With this in mind, I wish you a peaceful, hopefully stress-free Christmas (you really deserve it) and a happy and successful new year.

Today was the day, the nuBox 580 came into the house as an addition to my other Nubis (nuBox400, CS-330, AW-880). I don't want to start a pubertal chorus of praise here, if you want to read more about the quality of these great speakers, you should read my opinion in the forum. I would like to take this opportunity to praise the Nubert Speaker Factory. Not only great products, but also VERY GOOD service. Special praise to all the hotliners for their friendly and good advice. I would like to give all readers and those who may be undecided some food for thought: Where else in the hi-fi industry can you find a manufacturer with a free, easily accessible, competent hotline? Where else can you find affordable speakers of this quality ??? Which speaker manufacturer has a forum where the boss answers personally ??? This company really IS the way it presents itself. There is no pretense here. I wish all readers and the entire Nubert Speaker Factory staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year --- above all a few stress-free and peaceful days. Keep up the good work !!! Good luck and all the best for the coming years !!!!
