Hello everyone,

I am an absolute technology layman, but still a movie freak.

I recently treated myself to a Panasonic plasma (65 inch) because I really appreciate the excellent picture reproduction of Panasonic plasma televisions - despite their high power consumption (especially when viewed from the side).

Now my problem: The sound is of course (= naturally) subterranean.

I would therefore like to have a certain "cinema sound", but have no idea how to achieve this.

The more I read about it on the Internet (soundbars, 2.1 or 5.1 systems etc.), the more confusing it gets for me.

I'm prepared to spend between 500 and a good 1000 euros for a decent "complete solution", but just can't get any further when "studying" the Internet.

Can anyone here recommend a - simple - "complete solution"?

I'm writing here at Nubert, as the "specialist forums" often refer to Nubert.

I have also studied the complete Nubert catalog, but I must honestly say that I didn't understand anything, especially when it came to the combination of various individual components.

I would be really grateful for any helpful answers.

Hello,
We can recommend our nuPro A-200 for your application.
These rather small active speakers sound like "really big", very good hi-fi speakers.
If you call our hotline, we can certainly answer most of your questions.

By way of introduction, I ordered and received the nuLine 264.

First I set it up, set it up and calibrated it in conjunction with my Marantz SR6007 in BI-Amp mode. Then I listened to some music 😬 and I started grinning in circles.

The two dainty speakers were actually supposed to work in the 5.1 between my nuBox LS. But they have such a great sound that I now listen to stereo more and more often.

The sub isn't in operation either, as the two 264s play down incredibly low, which is impressive when you consider their size (at first I didn't think it was really that great).

The nuLine 264 is simply great, great sound and looks chic at the same time.

Thanks to the whole nubert team! 😬

I've owned two NuBox 311s for more than 6 months now, which I bought to try out and get started.

Above all, I would like to praise the really excellent service (shipping/exchange/contact). As good as the service has been so far, I can even imagine that the 5-year warranty is not just a marketing gag.

I don't want to describe the sound too much here, as it is very subjective. However, I was totally impressed with the first test and the old B... 2.1 system ended up on eBay that very evening. The low tones in particular are significantly better, even without a subwoofer.

Now the big problem. After just six months, I would like to treat myself to the NuBox 683 as front speakers and possibly the AW-443. But I own the 311 in high gloss, which is not available on the new models! With a purchase price of just under 1500?, I don't want to go for the old range or a range that doesn't match in color. I think Nubert should make some improvements here and at least make it possible to provide veneers from the old model year for an extra charge.

I hope that high gloss will also be included in the new range, until then the only thing that remains for the time being is the absolutely stunning listening pleasure in 2.0!

PS: New for me: sit down, listen to music and enjoy.

Hello!
I just wanted to say that I think it's a shame that the nubox 481 is being discontinued!
There is a successor but without a bass reflex tube at the front!
that's the advantage for small rooms! now it's at the back and you have to place the speaker at least 30-50 cm away from the wall, which sucks!
please develop a speaker with a sound port at the front again!
greetings
koenigmichi 😭

Many years of experience have shown that you can't please everyone. We have been criticized sooo often in recent years because of the "unsightly" BR tube on the front of the nuBox 481...
Our development engineer would also like to point out:
2-3 cm distance from the wall is sufficient for unhindered bass radiation from the BR tube. However, as a general rule, any speaker placed directly against a wall tends to produce booming effects in the bass - regardless of whether the BR tube is positioned at the front or rear. In terms of good sound, it is therefore always advisable to keep speakers as far away from walls as possible.
However, if the nuBox 483 has to be placed directly against a wall, a simple measure will help: close the BR tube. This is because, with the BR tube completely closed, it delivers just as deep bass as its predecessor, the nuBox 481, with an open, forward-facing tube and free placement.

😂 😂 😂
First of all: I am not a ghostwriter for Nubert, even if my article might sound like one.
I am absolutely impressed by Nubert's treatment of me as a customer. Both in terms of service and shipping, and especially in terms of goodwill and dealing with the right of exchange.
The customer advisors are really willing to talk and are on the customer's side. They have fulfilled all my exchange and upgrade requests and have certainly won me as a long-term customer.
Which they didn't really need to do, as the quality of their speakers had long since won me over anyway.
So I'm happy to put my money where my mouth is! Thank you Nubert!

Hello,

I'm really looking forward to the "nuControl" preamplifier! Balanced outputs are already very promising. If it matches its range of functions in terms of sound and is "right up there", it will definitely be on the shortlist.

P.S.: Where else can you find a high-end preamp with comparable management for the subwoofer(s) ?!!!

Greetings
Nicolas

The short version:

After an extensive listening orgy at Nubert in Schwäbisch Gmünd, I decided against a nuBox system and in favor of a nuLine system.

I haven't regretted this decision for a single day. The nuLine system is worth every cent more.

Comparison NuVero 11 vs. NuBox 681
I just couldn't get over the fine resolution, spatiality and sound volume of my current NuBox 681, so I ordered the Nuvero 11 home with the full intention of keeping it if it "blows me away".
Of course, it's amazing what bass comes out of the small drivers.
The price is certainly justified for the technology used, the effort put into the cabinet processing and the design, but the sound is not better than that of the NuBoxes, just different.
Personally, I even find the analytical mids and highs of the NuBox slightly better.
My son (24 and specially invited to the test) found the mids and highs of the NuVeros slightly better. They sound a little more subdued/waddier here, but these are all just nuances and not HUGE differences.
We found the bass, whether fast or slow, to be equally good with both speakers (dry and precise).
I had the speakers connected as front A and B. So we could switch back and forth and had a direct comparison.
The differences in sound (which are already small anyway) are purely a matter of taste.
Neither speaker leaves anything out or adds anything. They both actually sound perfect. And it was only the sound that mattered to me.
And since my old ears (48) and my son's young ears (24) felt the same way, the NuVeros were packed up again and set off on their journey home.
As I said - perfect sound, but that's what I think I've already found in the NuBoxes.

Hello "rego001",
We are delighted that you have given our nuBox 681 such an extremely positive rating. Direct comparisons are, of course, generally good, but in this case they have a major drawback: They are only meaningful if the comparison is made at the same perceived volume level (see also Günther Nubert's brochure "Technik Satt"). The nuBox 681 has a much higher efficiency than the nuVero 11, so when switching directly to one and the same amplifier, the nuBox always sounds significantly louder than the nuVero 11. A louder speaker is always judged to be "more spacious", better resolving, "livelier", indeed simply better sounding - a well-known psychoacoustic effect in specialist circles.
The fact that a nuVero 11 goes about half an octave lower into the bass range than a nuBox 681 (nuBox 681: 45 Hz, nuVero 11: 30 Hz) can easily be overlooked in such a comparison test.

Nevertheless, the following always applies: Good is what you like. We hope you continue to enjoy your nuBox 681!

I would like to thank Nubert for the unforgettable hours I have spent (and will probably continue to spend) with the incredible nuVero 14. I waited a little while before writing my review so that I could take my time to try out a wide variety of music and styles on the speakers.
The speakers have completely convinced me. In my opinion, the sound, the painstaking musical reproduction of various musical genres (A for Albinioni to Z for ZZ-Top) is second to none. You mustn't forget that the speakers are affordable as well as sounding good.
I've had the nuVero 14 with the ATM module for about a year now. The speakers are driven by a 30-year-old pre/power amplifier combination, supplemented by an SACD player and a home theater PC (Asus Xonar sound card).

I have been listening to my music (classical/jazz) from the Nuline 84 for 2 weeks now.
I should have bought them much earlier. Too bad about the previously wasted listening time.
