Dear Sir or Madam, The coating on the top of my AW7 (purchased in 12/02) is also peeling off! (Exactly as described in pictures 1-3 of the e-mail dated 22.07.03 from Mr. Schepper) Only a cloth moistened with lukewarm water was used for cleaning. My RS5s were also cleaned in the same way, but there are (so far) no signs of detachment. Note: when moving/lifting the AW7 (the new Bolide shock absorbers had to be fitted after all), black particles stuck to my hands, after which I was able to detect these detachments... I am sure that Nubert will find a solution that is acceptable to us customers and I remain Kind regards R.Barfus

Hi Robert, that's exactly what happened to me. After I had assembled and disassembled my RS5 several times, black particles stuck to my fingers. See also my post in the forum at the time (author: Donld, subject: RS5) Greetings Marc

Dear Mr. Schepper, as I already told you yesterday in my reply, such damage to the plastic surface is probably caused by contact with a corrosive or solvent-containing liquid. It is not possible to repair the plastic surface. It is also not possible to replace this film as the underlying MDF wood layer is also damaged when the film is removed. As I described in my request, the surface of the AW-7, with the exception of the NEXTEL-coated baffle, is not a painted surface but a plastic film surface. This film, which has been tried and tested thousands of times, is extremely robust and resistant. We are not aware of any household cleaners, glass cleaners or similar that could cause damage in this form. We cannot see any material or processing defects in the pictures you have sent us. If this were the case, we would of course have replaced this subwoofer immediately, without any ifs or buts, under our 5-year guarantee! We hope for your understanding. Yours sincerely, nubert speaker factory A. Siegle

Hello Bernd Schepper, the plastic coating also came off in some places on my two RS5s. (but that was about a year ago). It actually looked similar to the pictures. As the speakers were only about 6 weeks old at the time, they were replaced very quickly and courteously. Regards Marc Arnold

I bought the AW-7 subwoofer in black at the end of last year and am very satisfied with the sound. The paint on the surface is now peeling off in some places, and the customer service department has concluded that this is due to solvents in the household and has therefore rejected the complaint. There are supposed to be lacquers that are more resistant......😭

I've owned the AW 1000 for a few weeks now and use it with my Mackie HR824 active speakers in stereo. I'm very satisfied, everything has already been said about it! I would also like to emphasize the absolutely inaudible integration into my system. Properly adjusted - which is child's play with the remote control - the AW 1000 gives my system the finishing touch! An absolute recommendation for the money!

Hello Nuberts, on Saturday we once again had the pleasure of going to Schwäbisch-Gmünd. As always, we were well looked after and provided with coffee, so I was able to listen to all the subs and speakers in one of the showrooms with a friend. The result: the AW7 subs are very good, the AW 1000 is outstanding. However, we still opted for the newly modified AW 880. A great piece of kit, especially in view of the outstanding price-performance ratio.😬 Although I'm actually well supplied with speakers (1xCS 4, 2xNuwave8, 2xNuwave3), we also took the opportunity to listen to the entire range of speakers in direct comparison. We were particularly impressed by the Nuwave 125 (awesome, we still have to get our hands on these!) and the Jubilee Edition of the Nuwave 3. The sound of these speakers is fascinating considering their size. After the return trip, we connected the sub at home and tested it. For example, we tried out Tripple X and Starwars Episode I+II for the movies. Result with AW 880: Hold on to your furniture! But the sub also cuts a fine figure with music DVDs. For example, we tried Fleetwood Mac-The Dance, The Corrs-Live in London and The Eagles-Hell freezes over. Goosebumps are guaranteed here too. Finally, there were some DVD audios (e.g. Donald Fagen-The Nigthfly) and SACDs. Here, too, the Nuberts sound simply great, even without a sub. 😱 Conclusion: It's simply fun with these speakers, regardless of whether it's home theater or music. With this in mind, my warmest regards once again to Schwäbisch-Gmünd, especially to Mr. Kohler. We will be back! Michael Schmitz

As already mentioned in the forum, Stereoplay has had a pair of nuWave 125s for a few weeks now, and we're very curious to see when they'll be ready...
