A visit to Nubert in Duisburg had consequences .
I now have the Nuvero 11 , Nuvero 7 and Nuvero AW 17 .
I still use the Nuline 360 as effect loudspeakers, which will be replaced by the Nuvero 4 when my bank account allows it again.

I would not have expected such a significant improvement in sound quality from the Vuvero 11 compared to my old B&W Matrix 802 Series 3.
The first time I listened to it, it was not so noticeable, but after a few minutes I heard more and more details, which increased further.
Despite the analytics, the high frequencies remained very pleasant.
Another thing that struck me very positively was the pitch-black bass, which despite its extreme precision can also exert pressure at the very bottom.
For me , the speaker makes a very relaxed , precise , agile and balanced impression .
What's also new is that if you switch from 5.1 Dolby Digital to stereo for movie sound, you don't even notice that anything is missing after a short time. Of course, the difference is clearly audible when switching, but in the past this was not possible at all.

The DVD or Blue-Ray "King Kong", especially the scene where the ship enters the fog and crashes against the cliffs, comes across frighteningly realistically with a Nubert set like this.
The loudspeakers take you on an acoustic voyage of discovery.

I bought the 683s for Christmas, together with 1x CS-413 as center and 2x 313 as rears.
WOW - these things are really awesome. As I don't have a subwoofer and the predecessors (681) have already absolutely rocked my room, it's almost unbelievable now. I'm certainly not waiting for an ATM module ;-). With DTS, I had to set the LFE level to -6 db because otherwise it was really too much in my 30 square meter living room. According to the equalizer in my Denon AVR-3313, it even lowered the level a little in the 20 Hz range during room calibration. With the previous 681s, on the other hand, it had added something at 20 Hz, which clearly shows the new 683's competence in the bass range. But the overall sound has also become even more harmonious and unobtrusive, especially at slightly higher volumes. In addition, the appearance of the Nubox series has been upgraded to such an extent that it's a pleasure just to "stare" at the speakers and stroke them from time to time ;-))).
Something like this would cost at least twice as much from any other manufacturer, if they can manage such a sound at all.

I recently visited Nubert in Duisburg. I just wanted to have a look around.
There were also other customers in the store for whom the salesman was demonstrating one or two pairs of speakers.
I listened too, of course. No matter what speaker was in use, it always sounded good.
Two speakers in particular caught my attention, Nuvero 14 with its impressive sound and the Nuvero 4, which sounds simply brilliant for its size.
Considering the price, this is more than a fair offer.
Overall, the store makes an honest impression (just like the loudspeakers) as it dispenses with superfluous frills such as the finest interior fittings.
The savings are probably better invested in the development of loudspeakers.

A few weeks earlier, I was in a high-end store in Münster. The interior design was top-notch. Sales assistants formally ensnaring the customers, lots of priceless electronics and speakers.
Speaker cables with a price per meter of far more than 1000 ?, which are supposed to work wonders, were advertised there.
I listened to a compact speaker the size of the Nuvero 4, which is unaffordable for the average consumer, and which was of course powered by wickedly expensive electronics including cables.
To be honest, it didn't knock my socks off. Such offers make me doubt the seriousness of the manufacturers and dealers in question.

I was infected with the Nuline virus in December 2013. This was due to a spontaneous visit to the Duisburg branch that had just opened. From then on, I couldn't let go of the 284s. At the end of April, I treated myself to them, including Center 174, on the occasion of my 40th birthday ;-)
At home they were also completely convincing in combination with my Pioneer SC-LX76. In August I was able to buy a used (like new) AW1100 at auction (thanks Michael!). Godzilla has never been more lifelike and precise in my living room.
Actually, everything was fine, but the Taunus competition was still working away at the back.
On another visit to Duisburg, Mr. Gereon Krause (super friendly and competent! I can recommend a visit there to anyone) convinced me of the qualities of the Nuline 24. Nevertheless, I was extremely skeptical because I expected a rather thin sound from the miniature 12 cm driver. But well, there is the right of return.
Ordered and delivered on New Year's Eve morning. Unpacked, provisionally placed on the fronts, left to play for half an hour and then the first real test run. Hats off! Adele, Katie Melua, Maroon 5, Dire Straits but also Rage against the machines, Red Hot Chili Peppers - everything sounds incredibly open, fresh and not at all thin. Of course, the 284s have significantly more foundation and depth, but the spatial imaging, precision and the well-structured and transparent bass were immediately convincing. In the meantime, I wondered why I hadn't ordered 5 of these speakers plus AW600 or 1100 - which would definitely have been enough for my 42 sqm living room, because I don't drive enormous levels there anyway.
So the small 24s can stay and the Taunus competition has already been successfully sold on.
So to all the skeptics of the small 24 - it delivers what all the test reports promise. I take my hat off to the Nubert team for their development work and say THANK YOU and good luck for the new year.

!!! Thank you !!!
I thought for a long time about whether I should change my combination of Nuline 34 and Nubox Sub. I was very happy with it. But I was too curious to see if it could be improved with the ATM module. Lo and behold, it is. Unbelievable! The stage opens up to the front and in width, all the instruments have more space and details from the background are suddenly on stage. And the bass? Well, I'm one of those people you don't like to have living next to you, because I can only enjoy music when I can feel it in my bones. What can I say, you can't describe what comes out of my speakers, you have to hear it, or rather experience it. I have dismantled my subwoofer and mothballed it, too imprecise and grumpy compared to now.
I have friends with "high-end" systems and speakers, nobody can believe what I achieve with this sound. So for me, the absolute insider tip for dream sound with awesome bass is the Nuline 34 with ATM module. Especially if you can't or don't want to set up huge speakers.
Thanks again, I am very, very happy!!!

😱
That must have been the look on my face when I sat in one of your listening studios yesterday and switched on the nuBox 683 in comparison to the 264 and 284. Its ability to fill the room with sound is impressive compared to the first two speakers.
The 284 doesn't quite offer the same "width", but brings out the individual instruments and voices even better and differentiates like a surgeon.
Now I'm sitting at home and in no way regret my decision in favor of the 284 (ultimately it was the cabinet dimensions that tipped the scales).
After about 8 hours of playing time, the sound has already gained significantly in fullness and volume. The mids and highs are fabulous (? at last I can hear where the triangle player was standing during the recording ?) and I'm really looking forward to the next bassoon or low bass entry, which is very present but never exaggerated.
As important as the comparison of loudspeakers in the listening studio is, it can only give an approximate direction. Within your own four walls, and without a direct comparison to other speakers, they sound completely different = better.
I don't regret the 5-hour drive in sub-zero temperatures over snow-covered highways, nor do I regret my decision to buy them. Great cinema!
Many thanks also to Holger Nubert and Wolfgang Kohler, who gave me equally competent, customer-oriented and neutral advice during my 3-hour stay in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
It is rare to have the feeling that customer interest comes before sales.
I wish you all a happy new year and a great new year.

I bought two NuVero 14s just before Christmas. After a long back and forth between the 11 and 14, I ended up with the 14. I initially ignored Mr. Nubert's absolutely correct and discreet advice that my current amplifier would probably not be sufficient for these speakers.
The sound of the nuVero 14 thrilled me but didn't "knock my socks off". It took just one week and now the 14s are powered by a powerful Pioneer SCLX 58.
What can I say: this combination conjures up such a powerful and precise sound in our living room that it almost makes you dizzy. The drums of "Another Brick in the Wall" are hurled into the living room with such force and precision that you can't help but sit back in your chair grinning....

Many thanks to the Nubert team and especially to Holger Nubert.

The AW 17 subwoofer arrived today. The first thing I noticed was the careful packaging.
Unpacked, connected and after some trial and error with phase, crossover frequency and level, you realize what you've put in there.

The bass can hit extremely hard and dry and at the same time be "up to mischief" in the basement. All this at levels that are frightening.
When the woofer is connected to the LFE output of the AV amplifier, I have achieved the best results with the crossover frequency set to 199 Hz.
I've never heard anything like it in a movie theater.

The AW 17 replaces the AW 900 in my home. Considering the price of the AW 900 at the time and its age of 14 years, it becomes clear how good the AW 900 still is.

Merry Christmas 2014 to all readers,
On March 30, 2014, I wrote an entry for Nubert's customer testimonials. At that time, it was about the purchase of my Nuvero 14 and then the Nuvero 17.
I can't let my assessment at the time stand. Now that I have over 1.5 years of listening experience with these speakers, I would like to make a few small corrections.
Then, as now, I used the 14 with an Onkyo TX-NR 5009 (rather suboptimal) and the settings treble neutral / midrange concise / bass voluminous.
I changed these settings to Treble Brilliant. Personally, I have the impression that the three-dimensionality is significantly enhanced. Burning volumes tend to produce an intrusive treble range, but to be honest, when do you listen to such volumes over a longer period of time while listening to serious music? For my part, never!
Over the last 1.5 years, as already mentioned, two AW17 subwoofers have joined the 14s. I and other listeners were impressed by the brute low-frequency thunderstorms produced by this combination. The two were definitely more musical than other subs I've had the pleasure of owning.
Because 99% of the time I listen to music rather than movies, I thought about buying another thoroughbred stereo integrated amplifier. Unfortunately, this initially entailed a larger investment and I didn't know how to integrate the subs in a meaningful way. Amplifiers that I like, at least on the data sheet, are hardly available for less than 2500,- ? In addition, I have no idea how else to distribute my players via HDMI?
For this reason, I had the idea of taking the load off the Onkyo's power amplifiers by using the bi-amping that the amplifier and speakers were both capable of.

Now a completely different sound image unfolded before me! In contrast to before, the entire frequency response was much more present, an outstanding, how shall I put it, "sharpness of sound" and composure spread out and the spatial representation also gained in depth, and significantly so! The bass range was also much more present.
Now I wanted to find out. Switched off the subwoofer and .... yes, what's that? Precise, fine and extremely multi-faceted bass range. Better than with the subwoofer. Where before it tended to boom, now there was a real impact and a deep resonance of the audible frequency! Hard to believe! A clear gain in spaciousness in the bass range.
The bass range no longer sounds so "monotonous" and compressed, if you want to put it more dramatically. You could almost say an increase in bandwidth
although the 14s don't reach that low.
With a test CD you can still hear the 14s playing clearly at 23.8 hertz, not as loud as at 26-28 hertz but clearly audible. Even movies can be heard with a lot of emphasis. I think I will give the subs away.
Maybe a better amplifier or something similar instead. I'm not sure which one can improve the sound and possibly still record my players via HDMI.

Time will tell.

These are my layman's assessments and experiences from 1.5 years of listening to Nuvero.
Many thanks to Günther Nubert for this special loudspeaker
