Took the nuVero4 home today. First of all, thank you Mr. Schneider for your great advice.
I installed everything according to the instructions, then inserted the first CD.
Indescribable, now we are starting all over again. The whole music collection from pop, jazz to classical etc.
Now the listening pleasure begins at home.
Thank you for a great product, which also fits perfectly in terms of design.

I had just tried to find out when I bought my first pair of Nubis and was shocked by the result: !1978!

Over the years I have had the great pleasure of owning many of the top speakers from the various development phases of Günther Nubert. In addition to the weird 680s, I even had the monster-like Obeliske at home. The longest stay, however, was with the large omnidirectional pyramids, which I had worked hard to acquire back then.

For 3 years now, however, I've been addicted to the nuVero fever without any ifs or buts.
After the nuVero 14s in the office, the 11s (together with the 7s) moved into the living room, and now my second home is finally equipped with the nuVero 4s. What can I say - Günther Nubert's genius can't be ignored, even with these dainty little speakers.

Thanks to Günther Nubert for many hours of enjoyable music listening and also thanks to the team around him, who have transferred the quality of the speakers into the advice and service. Special thanks to Martin - nothing is impossible!

Addendum to the following topic (see my article from 30.03.2012):

NUBERT tips on commissioning loudspeakers - please be sure to follow them!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since my NUBERT surround set (2 x nuBox 681, 2 x nuBox 511 and 1 x nuBox CS-411) has prevailed in an extremely elaborate and sweaty private comparison test against two - in absolute terms very good - competing ensembles (at least in my personal listening environment), every hour of listening with the NUBERT sound wonders gives me an audiophile "pleasure gain" of a special kind.

If you need or want to save a lot of money without compromising on sound and power handling, you should definitely order the surround set I have selected and try it out in your own home (assuming you have enough space to set it up). If no subwoofer(s) is/are available, it is also advisable to purchase 2 NUBERT nuBox AW-441 or 2 NUBERT nuBox AW-991 (in my experience, 2 subwoofers increase the room-filling homogeneity of the bass reproduction when set up correctly, with 2 nuBox AW-441 delivering clean and quite deep kick bass and 2 nuBox AW-991 penetrating into unimagined depths with good impulse response).

What NUBERT has achieved with the large nuBoxes and the nuBox-Center for relatively little money can confidently be described as sensational, although the full sound quality does not unfold from one minute to the next and only if the NUBERT tips on commissioning/setup are followed. But then the "things" really come into their own. And last but not least, you can't complain about the design and build quality of the nuBoxes either (if you like "understatement" anyway, you'll be perfectly served here).

I have found my "nuVeros for the less well-off", so to speak, and am completely satisfied with them.

From the bottom of my heart, a big compliment to the NUBERT team for the development of these really inexpensive "market shockers"!!!

We went to the Nubert store in Schwäbisch Gmünd last Friday morning because I was looking for a TV set for my student digs. After a few minutes in the department, we were brashly approached by an arrogant and snooty employee. After the employee also realized that we were looking for a simpler device (around 400?), the issue was probably over for the employee. Condescending and cold, he hid behind some technical terms, which he was unwilling or unable to explain. We felt like we were in the wrong movie and left the store disappointed, with the thought of not entering the store again.
However, one device that we had shortlisted did not let us go, so we plucked up all our courage and returned in the afternoon, hoping that the arrogant and snooty employee would not cross our path again. Because you can really do without "advice" from a guy with his arms crossed behind his back!

Fortunately, we didn't get to see the unfriendly gentleman from the morning, but were immediately welcomed by Mr. Martin Lewandowski in an extremely friendly manner and given competent advice. Mr. Lewandowski was extremely courteous and knew every last technical detail of the appliances. And he was able to explain all of this in a way that a layman could understand. Once we had decided on an appliance, it was even a matter of course for Mr. Lewandowski to make the preliminary settings for the appliance in the store. After the experiences of the morning, when we were treated like scum, it was a difference like night and day. Mr. Lewandowski saved you a regular customer after all.

Answer from the Nubert-Team

First of all, we would like to thank you for giving us a "second chance" and are pleased that Mr. Lewandowski was able to "iron out" the matter. We are sorry that the contact with the first employee was so unfavorable. We will clarify who had contact with you and will have a discussion with them. However, we are very sure that the "brash" manner you described so negatively was not meant to be "snooty" or "arrogant". In our experience, there are very knowledgeable, committed employees who are appreciated by many customers, but whose direct manner means that not everyone really "gets on" with them. It's like in real life: Some people just "can't" get along... Once again: we are sorry.

Hello,

I ordered two NuBox 381s over a year ago and was absolutely thrilled after a short trial. I discovered more and more sounds that I had never heard before in my favorite songs.
Unfortunately, I had to move the speakers a few days ago (closer to the wall) and the bass started to boom a little.
I emailed Nubert to ask if there were plugs available for the bass reflex ports and how much they would cost.
I received a very quick reply from Mr. Reichelt that there were no plugs for the 381, but that he would send me acoustic insulation mats that I could insert into the openings.
Two days later I had the package in my hands. It contained the insulation mats, but NO invoice!
The drone is gone and I thank you for this unique service.
I have been advertising the speakers to friends and acquaintances ever since I got them and will continue to recommend Nubert to everyone I know (who is looking for new speakers)!
Thank you very much, many companies can learn a thing or two from this service!

Subject: AW-1000

I used to have a Yamaha subwoofer (YST-SW 800), which stopped working at the end of 2011. While looking for a new device, I came across Nubert on internet forums after some time and made further enquiries due to the positive comments in this direction. Since nothing below the AW-1000 came into question as an alternative to the Yamaha, which had no end of level stability, I was interested in this device alone.

I have now been the proud owner for a few weeks. It took some effort at first to convince my lovely and tolerant wife to accept the not exactly small but visually successful piece of furniture in the living room, but she was happy to do so. She had also realized that a small subwoofer would be a step backwards, which she was not prepared to accept. To bridge the delivery time, we had a cheap woofer from a friend in the house, which we were both happy to give back.

Now to the essentials: Mr. Nubert keeps his promise (?I can hear what you can't!?): the AW-1000 is a dream loudspeaker that is capable of producing sounds that my ears have never heard before. I'm not talking about the (also possible) high volume, but rather about the completely unusual brilliance of the low bass, which gives me goose bumps and a broad grin that I only know from downhill riding. After several weeks of experience, I would therefore strongly advise everyone to buy this device.

Contrary to a previous review, however, I do not consider it necessary to 'listen' to the movie "Unstoppable". It is neither exciting nor does it have bass potential that would even come close to doing justice to the AW-1000. Instead, download the title 'Sub Bass Excursion' by 'Bass Mekanik' from Amazon, which I am now listening to for the fifth time while writing this review.

I would like to point out that with ?normal? tracks I missed the usual bass at first. On closer listening, however, I noticed that they were indeed present ? not as a will-less humming, but clearly and discreetly in the background.

I therefore regret neither the defect in my previous device nor the need to pay the extremely reasonable purchase price for the Nubert AW-1000.

Thanks to the Nubert team for their excellent technical support.

Conclusion: Absolutely top class !!!

Dear Nubert Team 😬
I would very much like to know how it works with the nuPro A 20 ??? I have to order two of them 😱 or ??? Then I have two speakers with tone controls 🥴 Is the left or right speaker then controlled via one speaker or do I have to adjust the left speaker to the right speaker, for example? I find it a bit complicated !!! Wouldn't it be better to connect a passive speaker to the For the NuPro A 20 !!! 😉 I hope you know what I mean 🙂 Maybe there will be a new NuPro A 30 😉

Answer from the Nubert-Team

Please take a look at our video clip on the product page - we think it explains everything. We deliberately decided AGAINST an active + passive speaker version and that was a good thing.

The 4 Nubox 381s arrived today. Super fast service. The speakers, simply awesome. Previously had Bose, no comparison at all. The other brands can take a look at how to build really good speakers at a fair price. Crystal clear sound from the 381 and great bass. Together with the CS 411, absolutely brilliant. This is definitely the best speaker you can buy in this price range and can easily keep up with many floorstanding speakers. Bravo Nubert! Keep up the good work

Preliminary remark:
After 18 years of service, our old stereo system went into well-deserved retirement. Based on reviews, I put together the following trio: Cambridge Audio Azur 650 amplifier plus CD player (which were also available from Nubert at a reasonable price) and the nuLine 102 as a pair of speakers. The components are four times more expensive than the old equipment - my expectations were correspondingly high. However, my expertise in audio and hi-fi matters is limited due to a lack of comparison options, so my feedback should only be classified as layman's feedback.

Listening impression:
Over the last six weeks, I have spent quite a few hours in front of the new speakers and my succinct praise is:
What a stunning sound!
My favorite music is acoustic jazz, primarily quartets, usually in a classical line-up: drums, bass, piano + saxophone, e.g. by Garbarek, Björnstad, Gustavsen, Sheppard.
The above-mentioned combination reproduces the individual instruments with unprecedented differentiation and spatial localization. You can hear the nuances of Marilyn Mazur's extensive persuasion equipment on "Visible World" in the upper frequency spectrum: it tocks woodily, makes a silvery-metallic ticketick, the jingles in turn sound bronze-soft and full. Drum beats don't just go "boom", but the sound has an audible progression curve and its own timbre, depending on the instrument (which unfortunately I can't name correctly.) The bass range is precise and powerful at the same time. Well, and Garbarek's saxophones are soft, brittle, biting, relaxed - depending on the instrument. Overall, the sound is wonderfully differentiated: you feel as if you can assign each note (or instrument) its precise place in the room.
(During one of the first listening sessions, I opened my eyes in shock because I thought someone must be blowing into the saxophone 2 meters in front of me, the sonic illusion was so perfect ....)
Compared to the old system, the music has gained considerably in the upper and lower frequency range and the width of the listening room and the dynamics are incomparable. I've been to a few concerts by the Garbarek Group and didn't hear them any better than I do now from CD in my own living room. I think that's high praise for the devices.
I don't really need the adjustment switches on the speakers or the sound control on the amplifier, because in 90% of cases the pure, direct reproduction is optimal to my ears. I also returned the matching ATM module after a week. The bass depth that Leonhard Cohen's voice and bass on "Old Ideas", for example, need is also achieved by the devices in this way. The rest may be due to the room acoustics in our living room.

Afterthoughts:
1 - Some rock and pop CDs that I have always enjoyed listening to (e.g. U2, Sting, Queen, O'Connor) have lost a lot of their appeal, because the system mercilessly separates the technically good recordings (all praise to the ECM label at this point) from the bad ones: Many things sound mushy, unclean, flat and narrow-chested - more volume only worsens the impression.
2 - Due to their direct sales, Nubert's products are largely immune to comparative testing. So I can't say whether there is a stereo system that sounds better for 2500 ? However, many professional reviewers regularly claim in their magazines that the Swabian speakers are on a par with or even superior to more expensive speakers.

For my purposes, at least, I have found a simple but very classy-looking combination in this system that does exactly what I want it to do: reproduce acoustic music in a very differentiated way.
