After a not-so-short drive back from Merano, I took a detour via Schwäbisch Gmünd. (At some point my sister and I thought we'd never get there. 🥴) Eventually we did get there and were glad it was still open because I'd forgotten to check the opening hours. Arriving at the store I thought: yes it says Nubert outside but where are all the speakers? Fortunately, I quickly found the stairs that took me up one floor, but the first glance was again disappointing: there were no Nubert speakers to be seen. HIFI stuff as far as the eye could see - just none of the speakers I was eagerly looking for. But then I looked to the right. A landscape of speakers appeared before my eyes. I saw blue, orange, gray, silver, black ..... Finally, after almost 6 hours, I arrived at the partial destination of my car journey. (always with my sister in tow, who has no love for such things😈, she was not happy about the detour, but had no other chance) Then a salesman, who had just become free, came straight up to me. (Great, I didn't have to wait 2 minutes) He was friendly and open-minded, not what can happen to someone at Saturn on a Saturday lunchtime.😂 He gave me good advice and I'm looking forward to what might come, because the speakers (3 nuWaveRS5) weren't in stock in the store.😈😈😈😈 😈😈😈😈😈 But why only three speakers, most people will ask themselves now, - and then there are the rear speakers! It's quite simple: I already have a complete front system - consisting of the nuWave8 and the matching center. There is one drawback with my system: my bass. It's only a Magnat Omega 380 in quotation marks, an awesome piece, but I'm not entirely happy with it. It just doesn't want to match the speakers properly. I know someone with a NuBaox 850, which puts more pressure into the room than the Omega. You can't get the grin out of your head. But back to the topic: The salesman recommended that I don't use another center, but one - or better two - additional dipole speakers. I was able to see the whole thing for myself with a demo system. I asked for Star Wars 1 (which I now know with full surrounds: i.e. 6.1) but it didn't really convince me. All right, next DVD in: Fifth Elemet and call up the sound effects: Wow, that went off. I'm just saying: In the middle of it instead of just there:O😱 A grin had almost burned itself into my face.😬😬 Then quickly placed the order and paid for the whole thing and on we went. (No, not home, but to NuWave125) Put in the Eagles CD and let it play. A lot of switching between Wave 8, Wave 125 and Wave 10 began (ok, sometimes I also played the NuLine series speakers and there really is a difference in sound between Nuwave and the NuLine series. I wouldn't have thought it). And I've come to the conclusion that I didn't do anything wrong with the 8s (I bought them for cost reasons at the time) But everyone should form their own opinion of these speakers, because everyone has different tastes. But the NuWave125 can't hold a candle to the 8s. You can hear a clear difference. But I won't describe that. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what awaits me in the next few days and how it will all sound to me.😂 Oh yes, the VK I'm really very happy with is called Jörg Reichelt, thank you for the pleasant stay (and many greetings from the realm of the container😂). One last thing: a quote from my sister (after listening to a NuBox system on which Episode Two was playing): If I had the space and the money, I'd buy one of those too I was😱 Well, isn't that a success! And then I drove for a few hours across many villages towards home, where I arrived at around 18:00. At last! Many greetings from Cologne to Schwäbisch Gemünd until sometime Frank M. I recently bought the Nubox set, but first for the front area with Cs330 and 310. After just a few hours of listening, I decided on this one. It's amazing what sound they can produce for the price! The workmanship is also very clean. Compliments! mfg Stephan P.

I bought Speaker nuline 80 (+AbL 80), CS40 and Sub AW 550 over a few weeks, all silver (incl. grille). Nubox 310 was already vhd. My conclusion: top advice and service, very good looks and, most importantly, sensational sound. Gets better and better in the long run. Tip f. New customers: The sound experience may only come after listening and experimenting for a while. Accessories (absorbers, spikes, etc.) can be important (in the event of a booming effect, etc.). Small criticism1: ABL is effective on the one hand, but price/performance made me wonder a little, especially after purchasing the AW 550. You already have switching options on the speaker itself. Small criticism 2: as already mentioned in the current test of the nuwave 125, there is certainly still room for improvement in the design details. This also applies to the Nubox track. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions. Best regards and keep up the good work. Jonas G.

dear nubians, after a new system was due, i went through the listening studios to listen to everything. amplifier (NAD C320 BEE) and cd-player (NAD C541 i) were quickly selected ... only the speakers were (m)a problem. nothing sounded quite right. well then, off to aalen ... a very (naturally) friendly and unobtrusive consultant (thank you mr. schneider) gave me all the time in the world to try out the speakers ... what i heard there i had never heard anywhere else before ... that was my personal sensation. today the system (NAD + nuBox 400) is in my living room (16th century house, wooden floors, difficult sound room ...) and i can't stop being amazed (listening) ... i'm so speechless that i've canceled all my appointments for the weekend ... how do you manage something like this ... thank you for your competence, your fairness, your truly outstanding service (swabian friendliness and reliability) ... see you around! jürgen ps. people, go to the nuberts and be amazed!

Hello, I have a question concerning the active module in the nuLine AW-550. Does anyone know what slope (in dB) the filters have?

Hi Joe, the low-pass filter of the AW-550 has a slope of 12 dB/oct in the setting range of the frequency control (40 to 150 Hz). From around 200 Hz, the slope then changes to 24 dB/oct to prevent the woofer from being localized as a sound source. According to G. Nubert, the slope of 12 dB/oct has advantages over 24 dB/oct for the sum signal of woofer and satellite speakers (less signal throughput time group delay). If the AW-550 is operated at the sub-output of an AV receiver, the filter effect of the receiver is dominant anyway. (Usually 24 db/oct). For hi-fi purposes, such a steep separation is rather detrimental. This is not so bad for Dolby Surround, as it is mostly about the reproduction of sound effects. The high-pass filter (i.e. the one at the lower cut-off frequency) has an electrical slope of 12 dB/oct and is switchable with a cut-off frequency of 30 and 35 Hz. In addition, however, there is the transmission curve of the woofer in the cabinet, which is up to 24 dB/oct. Best regards, A. Görtler P.S.: Please always ask questions in our forum, which we have set up especially for this purpose and offers a much better platform than our guestbook. Hello Nubianer I have been the proud owner of two Nuline100 with ABL 100 for almost two weeks now. ...in other words..... these speakers will probably never see Schwäbisch Gmünd again. The sound ..... is a poem. However, you should definitely give the box at least 20 hours of recording time .... the patient will be rewarded. Silky highs, - present mids and a bass foundation ....fantastic For the price, I haven't heard anything better yet...simply great.

Hello, I would like to express my enthusiasm for the ABL 8/80 module. It fits perfectly ❗with my - and here it comes:redface: - Teufel M200 !!! I'm still very attached to them, but unfortunately the successor products are no longer ideal for music fans. I'm already flirting :rolleyes:with the NuWave 125... Greetings from Dresden, Marc
